Paid a lot for a poor experience for me. Parts of the hotel were dirty (and I mean massive cobwebs in windowsills), there were broken fences in the area we wanted pictures (they had promised all through the planning stages that they would be fixed by the time my wedding came), my disabled step-mother wasn’t allowed an additional 30 minutes in her room to finish getting ready, they wouldn’t allow my father to set up my cake topper, despite saying he could, stuff even damaged the cake when moving and my new husband and I didn’t get to cut the cake as they decided to take it away and cut it up before we got to that point. There were so many things about the day that I can only describe as ‘half assed’ - the dining tables didn’t line up, they only had small tablecloths so there were just loads thrown over the tables and it looked really scruffy, there was ‘junk’ visible from the the windows, the conservatory in which we were dining leaked and staff knew about it before hand, some member of (senior) staff were really rude and unhelpful. Good points - some waiting staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous. Unfortunately, that’s all I have! I could have got so much more for the same money at another venue, It really ruined my day for me and, if I was to do it again (which I don’t intend to) I would steer clear of this venue! They promised all sorts but didn’t care once they had my money.
