Rose Castle

We had the most amazing day at Rose Castle. From the moment we stepped foot in it we knew we wanted to get married there, I actually found it quiet overwhelming when I first visited the castle, standing in the chapel and the Chinese room, I’d never been in such a beautiful space. It is unique and exclusive, we loved how our family and friends had the run of the whole place, so many lovely rooms. Another selling point for us was the fact that we could hire the castle for the night before the wedding too, allowing us to really make the most of the whole weekend, it all goes by so fast and it allowed us to have a more intimate dinner with our close family and bridal party the night before too. Not to mention the fabulous bedrooms to stay in and get ready in the morning of the wedding! Paula was our wedding planner and she was absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and she was so quick to get back to me, I would often send little queries or requests on WhatsApp and she would reply straight away. She provided valuable guidance whilst giving us enough freedom to make it our own. Tony was wonderful on our big day, working hard to make sure everyone had a drink in hand and everything was running smoothly. The dining room became the most perfect dancefloor at night, it was like we had our own night club, whilst also having the luxury of other rooms for guests who preferred to drink and chat. We can’t recommend Rose Castle enough, it truly was a dream of a weekend and we wish we could do it all again!

Had the pleasure of staying here two nights for a wedding. Thoroughly enjoyed and all the rooms were tasteful and comfortable. The warm feeling with roaring fires in the communal areas. The food was gorgeous and I can’t honestly think of one complaint for the whole weekend.

We watched the transformation of the castle happen over the last year or so. As a result, we know the attention to detail that’s gone into the renovation work; from the staircase to the intricacies of the chapel. The rooms are stunning and the whole venue was super practical. Something we didn’t really appreciate until the wedding, and what was remarked upon by a lot of our guests, was just how beautiful the gardens were. The grounds are so expansive, with different sections surrounding the castle. It really sets it apart from other venues.

Lovely location. Ideal for weddings or conferences. Extensive beautiful gardens. I would highly recommend.
