Rivington Hall Barn is the perfect location for any couple who are looking for a unique venue to host their wedding celebrations. As soon as you step inside the Barn you will appreciate the sheer magnificence of it’s spacious interior. A Grade II listed building full of character and charm with many original features including its huge Saxon beams. Beautifully decorated with hundreds of tiny fairy lights complemented by the subdued lighting of the Barn, with carefully positioned spot lights to create a truly magical atmosphere. Situated in a picturesque location surrounded by fields and woodland; providing endless opportunities for your photographs. When you book Rivington Hall Barn for your wedding, you can be assured that you will receive our undivided attention. No other wedding or events will be held in the Barn on the same day. Our aim is to make your wedding day as relaxed and as personal as possible ensuring you will have a day you’ll never forget.

Myself and my now husband visited the venue for an open evening and no other venue compare to it. The level of professionalism, knowledge and genuine interest in our day was amazing. They stayed in contact regularly to update us on what would be happening next and in the meantime if we had any questions they were more than helpful. They were also extremely flexible in every aspect to ensure the day was exactly as we wanted it to be. The food was brilliant, we also received numerous people during and after the wedding telling us the food was the nicest food they had ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more - the chefs are so good. We also got to use the Shepherds Huts along with 3 other couples of our choosing the night of the wedding which was a really special touch, not to mention breakfast in the lower barn the following morning. We felt so special. Lastly, it rained most of our day, but it didn't matter in the slightest. The venue were incredible and ensured we were able to make the most of every moment. We were even able to use other parts of the venue to capture our photos which we felt was such a personal touch. We would recommend Rivington Barn to anyone looking for their perfect venue, it was ours and we will be forever grateful we got to experience our wedding with them. The staff are amazing, we were already happy with venue, catering, area etc but what we didnt know is how the staff direct everything. We were worried about what we needed to do, where to be all of that cos 9 times out of 10, its the first time getting married! So we didnt have a clue but we didnt need to, staff would get us when needed, tell us where to be and when to be there, it was so easy. Being in wedding planning mode for 18 month then being able to fully relax on the day was the best and this venue gave us that! The dark wood, unique beams, and anglo-saxon features exuded charm, character and had an intimate feel. It is an absolutely STUNNING venue. We had a very particular theme in mind for our wedding (The forest in Pandora, the planet from the movie, Avatar) and the exquisite mood-lighting throughout the barn complemented this vision immediately. The range of extras on offer, such as backdrops and uplighters, use of the dressing room - where pastries and prosecco were also provided, lanterns, confetti cannons and streamers (which fall from the ceiling!) made this venue stand out by a mile. Whilst on the topic of food, the Rivington catering team offered a range of menu options - all of which were delicious. They were more than happy to adapt certain dishes upon our request and went above and beyond to cater for allergies and intolerances. All of the guests commented on the quality (and temperature!) of the food, which was bursting with flavour. From the second we visited the venue, we were blown away by the friendliness of the wedding team. They were all extremely knowledgeable and efficient. This was further highlighted throughout the planning process where they went above and beyond to support with our quirky requests! The communication from start to finish was second to none, with all of our wedding guests commenting on how the staff truly enhanced the day. Before I booked Rivington I had looked at over a dozen of wedding venues and Rivington was by far the most stunning and elegant venue I had seen, I fell in love instantly. Everything about Rivington is amazing! The venue, the food & most important the staff!! The staff at Rivington are so polite, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a few dietary requirements with our meals and they catered for everyone whatever their needs were. They were always quick to reply with any queries and always made me feel reassured through the whole process leading up to the wedding and even on the wedding day which made the whole process less stressful and far more enjoyable. They went above and beyond for me, my husband and all our guest on our wedding day, they was so we’ll organised and provided the best services and we couldn’t have been more grateful for them and everything they did for us. My husband actually found this venue when we were hunting for the perfect place to say I Do and we came across it on Instagram. We were able to pick our date, arrange times to meet and discuss ideas and what we wanted and the staff gave us everything we wanted and asked for but went above and beyond. They answered every single email I sent (sorry guys) and made sure everything leading up to our magical day went as smooth as possible……and it did. The morning of our wedding, I arrived at 8.30. Before hand, we dropped things off the day before and they made sure everything was safe and looked after. I arrived with my bridesmaids and we started getting giddy. Breakfast of pastries, yoghurt, tea, champagne were brought up to us and the girls were so amazing they didn’t intrude they just left us to it and they are so, so polite and friendly. The bridal suite is absolutely gorgeous, so much natural light and so spacious. When it was time to go down to meet my new husband, they helped me down the stairs with my dress and my dad, the staff are so kind and so lovely if I haven’t said that enough already, you guys are amazing! The whole day went so smoothly and we could not have picked a better place, better staff and we want to relive the whole day all over again. For a more accurate SAT-NAV, we would recommend to initially follow the directions for our sister site; The Great House Barn Tea Room, as our driveway is directly across the road. There is a large white sign at the end of the driveway that says 'Rivington Hall Barn'. Turn onto the driveway where this sign is, and follow up the driveway and around towards the main carpark.

Can we hold both our ceremony and reception at the Barn?
Yes! We are licensed for civil ceremonies and can host your wedding day from ceremony through to evening celebrations.
Is there parking available for guests?
Yes, we have ample on-site parking available for guests attending your wedding, and our main carpark will be reserved for wedding guests on your big day!
Are dogs allowed at the Barn?
Of course! It is a lovely personal touch to include your dog in your special day to walk down the aisle, and be there for the drinks reception and photos for example.
The only areas we are unable to allow pets is the Dressing Room and Shepherd's Huts.
What are the best photo opportunities at the Barn?
The barn, surrounding countryside, outdoor spaces and seasonal scenery provide countless beautiful backdrops for wedding photography.
Do you offer weekday weddings?
Yes, we are able to hold weddings between available Tuesday-Saturdays!
What makes your barn unique?
Steeped in history and full of character, our Grade II listed Saxon barn offers a truly special setting for your wedding day. Being a family-run venue who have hosted weddings for over 70 years, the Barn combines timeless charm with decades of experience, helping couples create unforgettable memories in a venue that is both historic and exclusive.
Do you provide in-house catering?
Yes, all of our catering is prepared and served in-house by our experienced chefs. We're passionate about ensuring your wedding dining experience is every bit as special as the rest of your day.
Do you have wedding co-ordinators in house?
Yes! Our experienced team will always be here to guide you throughout the planning process and be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Do you host weddings all year round?
We host weddings from January through to early November, to enjoy the unique character of our barn across winter, spring, summer and autumn. From around mid-November onwards, the Barn is transformed for our festive Christmas events, so our focus during the wedding season remains entirely on creating exceptional wedding celebrations for our couples.
Can we make the Barn feel like our own?
Absolutely. The Barn provides a wonderful canvas for you to add personal touches and create a celebration that reflects your style. We also offer a range of different table layouts that can be suited to your preference, whether you are looking for a more rustic style, or a traditional 'white wedding'.
