The Red Lion Hotel is one of the largest wedding venues in Basingstoke to hold wedding receptions for up to 150 guests, located within walking distance of Basingstoke Registry Office and free parking. Offering an intimate setting in a fully dressed room that opens out to our courtyard. We offer our facilities and experienced team with friendly and efficient service for morning, lunch, afternoon or evening times. The catering options are varied and we aim to meet your own requirements.

One of the wedding planners, Jay organised everything for us, she is an absolute star! She made our day perfect. We couldn’t be happier ❤️We had the best day ever. After awhile we decided that we would get married at the registry office on New Years Eve, and this is where we had experienced issue with locating a reception due to it being New Years Eve and that majority of places would be holding some NYE events. We visited the Red lion to review and were delighted with the set up. It had been refurbed prior to Covid and was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of space, lighting was good, and Jay Owens whom I dealt with from the Red Lion was so professional and co-operative, nothing was to much trouble. We used Lemonstone catering which is their caters and the food was amazing, served on time, hot and again nothing to much trouble, we were able to leave this all in their capable hands and enjoy the day.
