- TTrip Advisor03/04/2018Wedding Reception - marvellous Wedding Reception - marvellousOur daughter and husband had their wedding reception here last week. From start to finish the hotel were excellent. The large room was well laid and presented to an exceptional standard. The master of ceremonies performed a great job, as did Laura who helped us set up a surprise dance for the bride and groom ! The meal and evening hot buffet was excellent, all staff attentive and assisted in making this day special. The evening was an absolute blast and the resident DJ can take credit too. The bride and groom chose to place the dance floor in the middle which I think helped with the overall atmosphere. A good large bar, one point I would say is that one of the lagers ran dry (our fault!) and it would’ve been better if this could have been planned for ? The room we had was very large, lots of furniture too. Very warm, just turn the thermostat down on the radiator! Great breakfast in the morning too. All in all this is a great location to host a wedding. Staff very polite, professional and keen to make your day special. Great for public transport, train station near, motorway, parking facilities.
