With historic tiered pews to seat 150, and a flexible floor space ready to become your dining hall or dancefloor, the Birchcliffe Centre is the perfect blank canvas to create your dream day. Set on a wooded hillside above beautiful Hebden Bridge, nature and history come together in this unique space. And with the beautifully renovated Hebden Bridge Hostel right next door, you and your guests won't need to travel far.
The Hall comes complete with a full kitchen for use by your caterers, and an additional mezzanine area to give you some private space for getting ready. We have an integrated A/V system and cinema-quality projection screen, and this former chapel boasts incredible acoustics, so they will be able to hear you in the back!
Our wedding package gives you access to the Hall from 4pm on Friday until 2pm on Sunday, so you have plenty of time to set up, enjoy your day, and clear up the next day. As a small charity, we cannot offer any event-planning services, however we would be happy to put you in touch with some fantastic local businesses to support your event.
Pennine Heritage is a small charity dedicated to conserving this incredible building since 1979. Every penny of your booking fee will go back into the upkeep of the Birchcliffe Centre, so we can maintain this piece of history for years to come.
Accessibility: The Hall is wheelchair accessible from our lower car park, and neighbouring Hebden Bridge Hostel includes wheelchair-accessible rooms.

Venue hire gives you access from 4pm on Friday to 2pm on Sunday, giving you plenty of time to set up and take down. We are a very small charity, so cannot offer any wedding-planning support: the venue is yours to do with as you choose!
We have parking on-site for 30 cars, including designated blue-badge parking. We are a short up-hill walk from Hebden Bridge - the hill is quite steep, but that's what gives you spectacular views across the valley!
