Bring the curtain up on a wedding that you and your guests will remember. The Palace Theatre is fully licensed for weddings and, with various event spaces available, you can plan your ceremony and reception taking full advantage of this historic Victorian treasure.
Prices for hire start from just £1200 to include hire of our main auditorium and stage plus bar area for your ceremony and drinks reception. This cost includes theatre light and sound on stage and use of our dressing rooms before the ceremony.
Our recently renovated event space, Stage Left, offers a flexible space for your ceremony and reception and costs from £1500. This includes a private bar and use of our sound and light system; perfect for dancing and celebrating your marriage. Stage left can comfortably seat 100 people, in banquet style.
Theatre takeover – you can hire the whole venue from just £2000; the stage and auditorium, the bar and Stage Left event space. Add a theatrical twist to your ceremony on stage, then welcome drinks can be served in the bar with Stage Left set up for the reception. Additional spaces mean we can offer private dressing rooms and even a children’s playroom.
If you have your ceremony booked elsewhere and are just looking for a reception venue, we can help there too. Hire Stage Left from 4pm for an evening reception from just £700.
We can cater for weddings for up to 100 people and offer a selection of delicious home-cooked buffet options to suit your budget and starting from just £10 per person.
We pride ourselves on making each wedding as unique as you are. You can make your day exactly how you dream it to be, and our wedding co-ordinator will be with you every step of the way.

Whilst we can create a package where everything is included, you can also choose to 'DIY' and just have venue hire. All of our weddings are bespoke and I personally love seeing a couple's plans come together and knowing that we have been part of their special day.

Melody the Wedding Coordinator was absolutely fantastic, and we were given flexibility to design food menus, use the theatre spaces as we needed, and decorate to personalise our day. The bridal party used the theatre dressing rooms to get ready in the morning too. Stage left was the perfect place for our party with a live band and a hog roast which all worked really well. We were lucky enough to have both our wedding reception and evening party at the Palace Theatre.
