We met with our event organiser, whose name was Knowledge Moyo, at the beginning of our cruise. From that moment on we knew everything would be as we wanted. Knowledge was amazing and was so helpful throughout the whole experience. He was also one of our witnesses along with his colleague Anjali. The cake was perfect; the flowers were incredible and the gifts that we received from the ship were lovely.I can describe the ceremony and the whole day in one word… Perfect! There were so many touches by the crew that we were not expecting such as Helen being escorted to the venue from our cabin and being escorted into the ceremony by an officer at our request. Captain Paul Brown was absolutely amazing. I don't know why but I was extremely nervous but the captain made me feel at ease. Good morning. I just wanted to thank everyone at P&O for making our day as special as it was. Once onboard we were looked after unbelievably well and nothing was too much trouble. How much does a P&O Cruises Ceremony cost?
We have a range of Ceremonies Sea and Shore packages, designed to meet your individual needs. A Renewal of Vows ceremony starts at £999 for up to 10 guests*, while our Ceremony at Sea package starts at £3,200 for up to 10 guests*. A Ceremony on Shore package starts at £4999. The option to hold a more intimate day with our Just the Two of Us package starts at £2,700. Additional fees apply for legal weddings.
Please note, our Ceremonies Sea and Shore package prices are in addition to the cost of your holiday.

How do I plan a wedding on a cruise?
Once you've spoken to a member of our Ceremonies team and chosen an available ship and booked your holiday, you can book your ceremony. Our Ceremonies team are ready and waiting to answer any questions and guide you through all of the options available. So that we know exactly what you want, we'll send you a ceremony planning form five months prior to your date. From there, your wedding specialist will arrange all of the special touches for your day and make your dreams a reality.

What is the best Ceremony package for us?
Our range of Ceremonies Sea and Shore packages are designed to meet individual needs, big or small, with lots of optional extras available. You can take a look through our packages here, request a brochure or contact our expert Ceremonies team to work out the best choice for you and your partner.
Which ships offer weddings and are they legal?
Yes. We can perform legal weddings across all seven ships in our fleet. To help you decide which ship or destination is best for your day, please contact our Ceremonies team on 0344 3388 595 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays) or email [email protected].
Can the captain perform weddings?
Yes. Our Ceremonies at Sea package includes a ceremony performed by your captain, who can also legally officiate the wedding. They will also sign a keepsake certificate for you to commemorate your special occasion for years to come. In the unlikely event that your captain is unavailable, your deputy captain will be happy to conduct your ceremony and sign your certificate.
What’s the difference between a Ceremony at Sea and a Ceremony on Shore?
Your Ceremony at Sea takes place on board one of our beautiful ships. It’s a unique way to wed in a sophisticated venue, perfect for lasting memories and stunning photographs. The on board dedicated Ceremonies team will take care of every detail for you, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the ship, the spa, the gym, the world-class dining and show-stopping entertainment. Ceremonies at Sea are available across the fleet on cruises of five nights or more. Please visit pocruises.com/ceremonies-at-sea for details.
On a Caribbean fly-cruise holiday your Ceremony on Shore can take place on the sand by the water or in the Royal Fairmount Hotel luxury resort’s beach or garden. Shore weddings are organised independently by the resort team, not by P&O Cruises. Visit pocruises.com/ceremonies-on-shore for details.
Can you get married ashore through P&O Cruises?
Yes. On selected Caribbean fly-cruise holidays, couples can get married ashore in Barbados from 8 October 2025. You simply have to choose between a barefoot beach wedding or a private ceremony in the Fairmount Royal Pavilion luxury resort’s beach or garden. We will liaise with the resort team on your behalf so you can relax and enjoy your cruise with us.
Are weddings on shore legally recognised?
Yes. Both legal and non-legal commitment ceremonies can be conducted on shore.
When will my Ceremony at Sea take place?
The Ceremonies at Sea happen on sea days on board at selected times ((11am, 2pm or 3:30pm on all ships except Iona, where 2pm and 3:30pm are available). See our brochure or call the Ceremonies team for more details). They must be conducted at a distance of 12 nautical miles from shore according to maritime law and guidelines.
When will my Ceremony on Shore take place?
Those sailing from Antigua can choose a Ceremony on Shore in Barbados mid-way through their cruise holiday, giving time to relax and prepare for the big day as well as celebrate after. Guests who choose to fly into Barbados can indulge in two blissful weeks before tying the knot on their last full day of the cruise, flying home to celebrate with loved ones.
Can I personalise my Ceremony package?
Yes. Simply discuss your wishes and ideas with our friendly Ceremonies team. We can add many extras to make your day extra special from photography to flowers, spa treatments to your wedding cake and you can bring personal touches to create your ‘vision’ for the day. We will do all we can to include the special touches you dream of having for your big day.
