Description
A storybook pub mashing up two styles from locally born authors, no two weddings will ever be the same. Douglas Adams’s sci-fi The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is met with fantastical poet Edward Lear’s Owl & The Pussycat. Thus creating a backdrop for photos and pockets of rooms with different energies.
The kitchen is franchised to Get a Munch who boast the most amazing carribean style food, whilst still offering delicious traditional wedding menus. Bespoke wedding menus are available upon request.

First of all congratulations on your engagement! I am thrilled that you are considering our venue to host your special day. My name is Lauren and I get the pleasure of organising the weddings at this amazing establishment. It is the perfect spot to host a relaxed celebration with your loved ones. I had someone make me uncomfortable in here and the staff sorted it out so quickly and made me feel very safe so thank you ! Atmosphere is great and it's so cosy and lovely. Booked the upstairs area on the balcony for 20 people (not the private room) and was helped by Will, everything went smoothly and would recommend :) Quirky pub with table tennis and mario kart. From the moment you arrive there is such a buzz and a welcoming feeling. We were in the upstairs area which was perfect for the occasion. The staff were excellent and attentive. They worked hard without any issues always with a smile . My Son & His wife while complimenting the staff had great words to say about the young lady that helped them plan this special occasion. Menu includes options for meat eaters and quirky dishes dishes involving tofu. The interior decor is odd and quirky; and it's great! definitely never visited a pub with this kind of aesthetic before. Will and his team are amazing to work with and really helped make the day special. Will is very accommodating and made all of our requests possible. The cocktails served were of a really high standard not something you'd expect in a pub and I drank them all so can highly recommend them. 👌The venue has character and doesn't take a lot to decorate and make look extra special.Been meaning to post a review since my friends Hannah and Peter got married and had their reception at this fantastic pub. Lovely atmosphere, lighting and the room separation means that people can mingle at the bar before moving on to the back room. Sound is amazing (we just used phone connected to Bluetooth) and the atmosphere was great when people started dancing. The staff and management were really helpful the whole way. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There's been many but one that stood out was when a couple decided instead of a guest book they were going to have an old school phone to record the guests messages/ words of wisdom onto. I thought it was quite unique and definitely will be borrowing the idea for my own wedding!

I think I may just have to go for the Mini-Yorkshire pudding with Horseradish. I'm just a sucker for anything Roast Dinneresque.
