Nettlestead Place is a medieval manor listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 set in the heart of Kent. It has for centuries staged lavish celebrations and is now exclusively available for weddings and other celebrations. The 14th century gatehouse stands to the west of the manor at the start of the private drive and is an impressive entrance for the bridal party. St Mary's Church is the neighbouring church and just a 5 minute walk to Nettlestead Place. Nettlestead Place offers an exclusive unique English country setting with award winning gardens, striking medieval manor, a location that is genuinely a perfect wedding venue. The manor is steeped in history and is still a family home but it can be exclusively used for weddings. It is a true gem of a venue! The 13th century Undercroft is a truly unique location for wedding ceremonies and is characterised by 3 medieval pillars. An historic and striking setting for such an important occasion. The Undercroft can seat up to 120 guests. The stunning Rose Garden is the setting for outdoor ceremonies, with a wooden Gazebo sitting at the base of a large lime tree. The aromas and the beauty of the rose garden make this a truly romantic setting. After the wedding ceremony guests can enjoy champagne and canapes on the broad terraces overlooking the manors sunken pond. The celebrations can continue as guests can wander through the idyllic gardens, famous throughout Europe, across manicured lawns, paths and water features, surveying the beautiful Kent countryside on their way to the wedding marquee.

The Most Perfect DayThe Most Perfect Day
Thank you soooooooo much for providing a magical, brilliant, super, amazing (there are so may more positive adjectives I can use to describe the event) day for my Son and Daughter. Everything was perfect, the staff waiting on the tables were soooooo professional and did it in military fashion and timely, wow, the food was amazing and the venue, wow wow wow. I have no more words, I'm even filling up just thinking how everything went soooo smoothly and that is credit to you and your staff. I have had so many messages from friends and family discussing the views and beautiful venue, delicious food, friendly atmosphere, timely service and great organisation.The weather was great too and made the ceremony brilliant. I cannot thank you enough for giving Ryan and Lucy THE MOST PERFECT DAY. Absolute dream weddingAbsolute dream wedding
We truly enjoyed our absolute dream wedding at Nettlestead Place. As soon as we stepped through to the gardens, we knew 100% that this would be our venue. It’s totally stunning and I’m just so happy we found it and got married in the rose garden. Sharon was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing throughout – always answering my constant little questions (nothing was ever too big or small!) and was essential in helping us make sure the day ran smoothly. It was honestly a perfect day and I just wish I could do it all over again. I would recommend Nettlestead Place to anyone who loves the beautiful English outdoors. Picturesque Perfection Picturesque Perfection
Nettlestead Place really is a beautiful place to get married, from the entrance driveway to the main house, gorgeous rose garden, lawns and view from the wedding marquee. Sharon was extremely helpful from start to finish with great communication throughout the process and was a very reassuring and calming presence on the day itself. The bar staff could not have been lovelier and the food was first class. A very special place steeped in history with real English charm. Nettlestead Place really is a beautiful place to get married, from the entrance driveway to the main house, gorgeous rose garden, lawns and view from the wedding marquee. Sharon was extremely helpful from start to finish with great communication throughout the process and was a very reassuring and calming presence on the day itself. The bar staff could not have been lovelier and the food was first class. A very special place steeped in history with real English charm.

Everything was perfect with our wedding at Nettlestead from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning and Sharon and her team there made the entire process of organising a wedding so smooth. Sharon was so helpful in planning everything and was incredibly accommodating of all of our ideas. The food and drink was exceptional, we have had many comments from guests on particularly how good the food was. We cannot fault anything about our day at Nettlestead and could not recommend this venue and its team highly enough! Everything was perfect with our wedding at Nettlestead from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning and Sharon and her team there made the entire process of organising a wedding so smooth. Everything we wanted and moreEverything we wanted and more
Nettlestead Place is everything we wanted and more. The venue has several mini locations and hidden spots within it, which allowed us to take our guests on a scenic journey – from canapés in the rose garden to dancing in the marquee – and provided the perfect backdrop for photographs. The food matched the beautiful surroundings, with many of our guests claiming it's the best wedding breakfast they've ever had, but it was undoubtedly the warm, capable hands of the Nettlestead team that allowed the day to be the success that it was. Do not hesitate to book if you're looking to have a fun, relaxed and joyful event.Nettlestead Place is everything we wanted and more. Perfect Day!Perfect Day!
What a phenomenal venue! As soon as we saw it we knew it was the one! The staff are wonderful and the grounds are spectacular. We cannot recommend this venue enough. From the food, to the organising, to the decor. We got married in the Undercroft, a magical, beautiful area of the venue, which is nothing like anything we have seen before. Before moving to the beautiful rose garden and ending our day in the fantastic spacious marquee. Nettlesstead place is the perfect venue for a timeless British Garden wedding. We were offered to spend the evening in the bridal suite after the wedding and we cannot thank Annabel and Roy enough for their hospitality. The stay was amazing and the cooked breakfast we highly recommend. Our perfect venue for our perfect say and the only thing that I would change is that I would do it all again and again and again. This venue is absolutely stunning and all we keep hearing from our guests since our big day is how it's the most beautiful venue they've ever been to. It accommodates the entire wedding package to perfection with a great choice of locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. In terms of organisation and the staff, they were absolutely superb. Things just went on in the background as they should and it really was a load off our minds. In particular, Sharon (wedding coordinator) who had been at our beck and call from day one was outstanding on the day, such a calming influence. The food was absolutely superb and the portion sizes were on point. The waiting staff were perfectly in sync when it came to dishing out the meals, very cool to see. Big shout out to the cooking team and for making the evening grazing table look like a work of art. Quite simply the perfect day in a perfect venue. You won't regret choosing Nettlestead Place!This venue is absolutely stunning and all we keep hearing from our guests since our big day is how it's the most beautiful venue they've ever been to. We were planning our wedding for a little over two years and I can say that Sharon and the team and Nettlestead were amazing in helping us throughout. Everything was customisable to how we wanted it and the responsiveness of ALL our questions was always prompt (even answering the phone when she's on holiday - sorry and thanks!). I would recommend Nettlestead to everyone - the undercroft is the most unique ceremony venue anyone could ask for. I'm always tempted to 'not mention' it to keep it a secret as it goes with the romantic setting. The catering staff onsite were professional and the food is amazing - well presented and very delicious. The marquee is completely fit for purpose and looks so beautiful with nearly every type of decoration. If we could, we'd do it all again tomorrow! With stunning gardens, a perfect back drop to the house which inside awaits you a truly special ceremony room that is the under-croft. The marquee reception is perfect, being nestled in the gardens just a floral footpath away from the house. But if that hasn't sold you, then Sharon and Majestic Events are really the stars of the show. Planning a wedding is stressful and the team make the whole process a dream. Nothing is too much and attention to detail really goes a long way to making the day run as smooth as possible. Leaving you to enjoy your special day entirely . Breath-taking.Breath-taking.
Myself and my husband got married here at Nettlestead Place on June 8th 2019, it was the best day of our lives, the venue is absolutely stunning and breath-taking, when we first viewed the venue we fell in love straight away, it has so much to offer. I couldn't recommend Sharon the wedding coordinator enough she was great, I would 100% recommend you having your wedding here you will not be disappointed.Myself and my husband got married here at Nettlestead Place on June 8th 2019, it was the best day of our lives, the venue is absolutely stunning and breath-taking, when we first viewed the venue we fell in love straight away, it has so much to offer. From Maidstone Take the A26 Tonbridge Rd to Wateringbury. At the Wateringbury crossroads, turn left onto B2015 Bow Rd (turns into Maidstone Rd) and continue for 1 mile. Nettlestead Place is on your left, just yards after the church entrance. Guest parking is a few yards further on at Nettlestead Farm carpark.
