Nettlestead Place

Nettlestead Place is everything we wanted and more. The venue has several mini locations and hidden spots within it, which allowed us to take our guests on a scenic journey – from canapés in the rose garden to dancing in the marquee – and provided the perfect backdrop for photographs. The food matched the beautiful surroundings, with many of our guests claiming it's the best wedding breakfast they've ever had, but it was undoubtedly the warm, capable hands of the Nettlestead team that allowed the day to be the success that it was. Do not hesitate to book if you're looking to have a fun, relaxed and joyful event.

What a phenomenal venue! As soon as we saw it we knew it was the one! The staff are wonderful and the grounds are spectacular. We cannot recommend this venue enough. From the food, to the organising, to the decor. We got married in the Undercroft, a magical, beautiful area of the venue, which is nothing like anything we have seen before. Before moving to the beautiful rose garden and ending our day in the fantastic spacious marquee. Nettlesstead place is the perfect venue for a timeless British Garden wedding. We were offered to spend the evening in the bridal suite after the wedding and we cannot thank Annabel and Roy enough for their hospitality. The stay was amazing and the cooked breakfast we highly recommend. Our perfect venue for our perfect say and the only thing that I would change is that I would do it all again and again and again. This venue is absolutely stunning and all we keep hearing from our guests since our big day is how it's the most beautiful venue they've ever been to. It accommodates the entire wedding package to perfection with a great choice of locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. In terms of organisation and the staff, they were absolutely superb. Things just went on in the background as they should and it really was a load off our minds. In particular, Sharon (wedding coordinator) who had been at our beck and call from day one was outstanding on the day, such a calming influence. The food was absolutely superb and the portion sizes were on point. The waiting staff were perfectly in sync when it came to dishing out the meals, very cool to see. Big shout out to the cooking team and for making the evening grazing table look like a work of art. Quite simply the perfect day in a perfect venue. You won't regret choosing Nettlestead Place!

We were planning our wedding for a little over two years and I can say that Sharon and the team and Nettlestead were amazing in helping us throughout. Everything was customisable to how we wanted it and the responsiveness of ALL our questions was always prompt (even answering the phone when she's on holiday - sorry and thanks!). I would recommend Nettlestead to everyone - the undercroft is the most unique ceremony venue anyone could ask for. I'm always tempted to 'not mention' it to keep it a secret as it goes with the romantic setting. The catering staff onsite were professional and the food is amazing - well presented and very delicious. The marquee is completely fit for purpose and looks so beautiful with nearly every type of decoration. If we could, we'd do it all again tomorrow!

Nettlestead Place is one of my favourite wedding venues in Kent. So much scope for photos and a great team that really love what they do and go the extra mile to make the big day perfect. Ive photographed a number of weddings there and I am looking forward to being back soon! 5*

We had the most wonderful, dare we say perfect, wedding at Nettlestead Place, it is truly a spectacular setting for a wedding! We held our ceremony in the beautiful 12th century undercroft, but we were also tempted to hold it in the lovely rose gardens just outside. I was thrilled that the elegant bridal suite, just a few steps away, was made available to me for the morning to allow me to get ready with my party. We held the post ceremony drinks in the beautifully manicured rose gardens framed by trees and a picturesque pond. The marquee was ideal for the wedding breakfast and dance party, with its views of the rolling hills of the downs - just idyllic! Sharon and the Nettlestead team went over and above our expectations to make it the perfect day for us. This was so important for us as we live in Canada, and so the team’s professionalism and responsiveness made organizing the wedding from afar possible. Sharon was incredibly helpful and provided amazing service and support to help us plan and work through all the details of the day. The wonderful wedding, we had was not possible without them! We simply cannot say anything negative about our experience, we highly recommend getting married at Nettlestead Place.

We got married at Nettle stead place in August and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. The day was so relaxed and organised thanks to Sharon the events organiser and the catering team. The venue was amazing and all of our guests commented on how lovely and big the grounds are. We got married in the undercroft of which has a lovely chapel/church like feel to it. We would definitely recommend Nettlestead place as a venue to get married at. Amazing from start to finish!

The venue speaks for itself - it is STUNNING! We were blown away by the grounds. So naturally beautiful and well maintained. We chose to make the most of all the areas we could, so had the ceremony in the undercroft, drinks reception and canapés in the rose garden and then wedding breakfast and reception in the marquee. Sharon and the ladies at EasyDine were a god send. Thank you all so so much for your help and support. Sharon, you are a credit to Nettlestead Place and I cannot thank you enough. (Special mention to Amy for making sure I ate throughout the day too!!) I wish I could go back and do it all over again, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you a million times for making our perfect day, perfect.

Nettlestead Place is the perfect setting for such a happy occasion. The gardens are beautiful and we were lucky enough to hold the ceremony in the stunning rose garden as the sun was shining. The crypt is a special place too! Sharon and the team worked hard so everything fell into place on the day allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the day with our friends and family.
