- CCourtney & jack11/04/2024Underestimated venue!Underestimated venue!We had our wedding day booked here for April 2020 however due to Covid at the time we didn’t get our big day until 2022. During the 2 years the venue were great with accommodating new dates which was hard enough due to husband having deployments throughout the year however they went above and beyond to get us the date we needed. Understandably the communication at times wasnt great however the newly tired wedding coordinator at the time of our new date was amazing. She listened to all our requests and really brought our vision together. Our guests were surprised by how beautiful the venue looked and we had a lot of amazing comments about our day. Everything from the venue dresser, food, drinks, dj and the overall running of the day was perfect. The only thing that could of been improved was the time in between the ceremony and wedding breakfast and the outdoor games that was meant to be there wasn’t set up and people found themselves wondering what to do, most went to the pub next door whilst we got photos. Definitely recommend the venue for something a bit different yet beautiful for your big day! From the moment of our enquiry staff were extremely helpful and assisted us every step of the way. The function rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated, the food was excellent and due to the team's planning everything was perfect. I can honestly say it was the most amazing Wedding venue us or any of our guests had been to! We got married in the Captain's Cabin and also had the Wedding breakfast here as it was a small Wedding. From start to finish the staff were amazing and every detail of our special day was perfect. The food was spectacular and we couldn't have asked for anything more.We wanted something different for our Wedding and chose to get married on HMS Trincomalee. I can honestly say it was the most amazing Wedding venue us or any of our guests had been to! We got married in the Captain's Cabin and also had the Wedding breakfast here as it was a small Wedding. We were not disappointed in any way at all. The staff, service, food, ambience, DJ were all excellent as was the organisation and visits leading up to the wedding reception. We must comment on the professional and friendly deportment of both Rachel and Jasmine. Top marks for event from inquiry to collecting after the event. The service provided made a vital and appreciated contribution to the success of the day. Thank you for everything. - CClare Duncan08/11/2018Wedding Reception Wedding ReceptionWe had our evening wedding reception in the Baltic Suite at the museum and it was a fantastic space. It fitted in perfect with our rustic theme because of the stone floors and brick walls. Our guests loved it as when they arrived the first thing they saw was the HMS Trincomalee. We had rum punch welcome drinks provided by the venue which looked great for when the guests arrived. We chose to have pie and peas as a meal and it was lovely, people even went for seconds as we paid for more than we needed in case we invited too many people. The team were nothing but professional throughout the whole process and Rachel the Events manager knew exactly what we wanted from start to finish. Because there wasn't anything else on in the room the same day we were able to come in with the wedding suppliers and set up (We got married a different day before hand) Would defiantly recommend them for every part it was perfect!
