Description
- We are a family run Boutique Hotel with many years experience in delivering fine Weddings. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies up to 130 guests.
We also have two ideal Wedding Reception venues to choose from, both of which have full working bars within the room and capacity seating between 50 to 200 guests. Our Mulberry Suite has two exquisite chandeliers and exposed beams, and our Marquee has floor to ceiling white drapes with a private decking terrace.
- We also have the ideal Drinks Reception venue located overlooking our grounds and lake. Perfect for enjoying your Drinks reception on the terrace and group shots with your friends and family!
Whilst we have subtly converted the venue into a beautiful Hotel and Venue with accommodation, we have kept in mind the fantastic History of the building, which offers a combination of traditional Georgian architecture with modern twenty-first century additions offering the flexibility and standard you require.
Alongside the Mulberry Lake, which was once a moat around the House, there has been careful tree planting, some trees over 150 years old. This has enabled us to enhance the grounds and make it an ideal backdrop for your Wedding.
At Mulberry House, we believe that your wedding day should be faultless, so we provide only the finest wedding co-ordinators to help facilitate your day and ensure everything flows smoothly. You can tailor your reception exactly how you'd like it.
Our catering team are renowned for their quality cuisine and this together with a choice of bedrooms to suit every size of wedding party will make your day very special. Tresco our Honeymoon Suite, is available for the Bride and Groom to use complimentary on your Wedding night along with a Bridal Changing suite for the party the morning of the Wedding.

Clare and the team couldn’t do more for us on the lead up to and the day of our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so special. The food was amazing, a few of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. I honestly had the best day ever and I want to do it all again, I wish I could get married here every year! Thank you Mulberry you really deserve the awards. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and supported us at every step of the process. From the food tasting right through to the wedding day the professionalism was incredible, on the actual day everyone was so friendly and it just ran so smoothly because of the staff there. Actual wedding was stunning and the grounds kept amazingly, would 100% recommend anyone wanting to get married to get married here. So, so happy we chose Mulberry House to get married. Everyone went above and beyond for us and we are so eternally grateful. I couldn’t fault any part of the day at all, and we will cherish these memories for years to come. Claire was so accommodating, I can’t even put into words how much we appreciate the effort she put into our day. There were a few more lovely ladies in the evening, including someone who noticed I hadn’t eaten much and put a sandwich in the room for later on. These small touches really mean a lot. Sonya also, so welcoming to everyone. We had so many compliments. It felt like no one could do enough for us. I just never expected the service we received. We chose Mulberry House for a number of reasons: - Everything is under one roof, including accommodation for our guests which meant the day flowed nicely with guests not being dragged from one location to another! - The setting is just stunning. No amount of photos or videos could portray exactly how it feels to be at this beautiful location. - The building looks amazing in photos, there is clearly a lot of attention to detail and this is reflected in how well the venue is kept. - Every review we read commented on how amazing the level of service was which we discovered was completely accurate. In the planning stages, nothing was too much trouble. Nicola and Georgia answered all of our queries promptly and in great detail, always putting our desires first to ensure we had the day we envisaged. They kept us up to date at all times and the entire team work so coherently together to ensure no detail is overlooked. They gave us so many options and were completely flexible - we could have our ceremony indoors or outdoors; there were multiple spaces for our wedding breakfast; timings were entirely up to us and whilst they had plenty of suggestions for suppliers they were also happy for us to find our own. The Mulberry House team liased and co-ordinated with our many suppliers effortlessly - we didn't need to do anything at all! On the day, we arrived early and reception let us in. The entire reception team were so warm and welcoming, it was a great start to the day. The catering staff served us the most incredible breakfast, it was laid out beautiful and was almost too good to eat. They also provided vegan and vegetarian options and nothing was too much trouble for them. Later in the morning, we were met by Claire (venue co-ordinator) who is truly one of the kindest and most attentive people we have ever encountered. She could not do enough for us and we felt in safe hands from the moment she greeted us on the day. She checked in with us regularly to reassure us things were going to plan and to ask if there was anything else we needed from her. She orchestrated the day effortlessly and seemed to have a vision in her mind of exactly how things would and should run - she is truly a pro. Halfway through the day, we were handed over to David (banqueting manager). Like Claire, he had a calming and warm manner and made sure we had everything we wanted. He took amazing care of us and our guests, who all commented on how wonderful all the staff had been. The food for the entire day from canapés to the wedding breakfast to the barbeque in the evening - it was all just SO delicious. I couldn't finish my dessert and one of team offered to save it for me for later which I was so grateful for as it was the best crème brulée I've ever had! The evening of the wedding went so smoothly which is a testimony to how committed Mulberry House are to events planning and organising. They co-ordinated all of our suppliers in a way that Charlie and I only had to enjoy the day as it unfolded in front of us! When we went up to our room for the night, we were met with a bottle of bubbly on ice and a selection of some of our dessert table (we were so grateful for this as we hadn't got a chance to try everything!).
