Where to begin! Simply put, Mulberry House are an incredible wedding venue.
We chose Mulberry House for a number of reasons:
- Everything is under one roof, including accommodation for our guests which meant the day flowed nicely with guests not being dragged from one location to another!
- The setting is just stunning. No amount of photos or videos could portray exactly how it feels to be at this beautiful location.
- The building looks amazing in photos, there is clearly a lot of attention to detail and this is reflected in how well the venue is kept.
- Every review we read commented on how amazing the level of service was which we discovered was completely accurate.
In the planning stages, nothing was too much trouble. Nicola and Georgia answered all of our queries promptly and in great detail, always putting our desires first to ensure we had the day we envisaged. They kept us up to date at all times and the entire team work so coherently together to ensure no detail is overlooked. They gave us so many options and were completely flexible - we could have our ceremony indoors or outdoors; there were multiple spaces for our wedding breakfast; timings were entirely up to us and whilst they had plenty of suggestions for suppliers they were also happy for us to find our own. The Mulberry House team liased and co-ordinated with our many suppliers effortlessly - we didn't need to do anything at all!
On the day, we arrived early and reception let us in. The entire reception team were so warm and welcoming, it was a great start to the day. The catering staff served us the most incredible breakfast, it was laid out beautiful and was almost too good to eat. They also provided vegan and vegetarian options and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Later in the morning, we were met by Claire (venue co-ordinator) who is truly one of the kindest and most attentive people we have ever encountered. She could not do enough for us and we felt in safe hands from the moment she greeted us on the day. She checked in with us regularly to reassure us things were going to plan and to ask if there was anything else we needed from her. She orchestrated the day effortlessly and seemed to have a vision in her mind of exactly how things would and should run - she is truly a pro.
Halfway through the day, we were handed over to David (banqueting manager). Like Claire, he had a calming and warm manner and made sure we had everything we wanted. He took amazing care of us and our guests, who all commented on how wonderful all the staff had been. The food for the entire day from canapés to the wedding breakfast to the barbeque in the evening - it was all just SO delicious. I couldn't finish my dessert and one of team offered to save it for me for later which I was so grateful for as it was the best crème brulée I've ever had!
The evening of the wedding went so smoothly which is a testimony to how committed Mulberry House are to events planning and organising. They co-ordinated all of our suppliers in a way that Charlie and I only had to enjoy the day as it unfolded in front of us! When we went up to our room for the night, we were met with a bottle of bubbly on ice and a selection of some of our dessert table (we were so grateful for this as we hadn't got a chance to try everything!).
The morning after, we had breakfast with all of our guests that had stayed and it was just as delicious as the food on the day of the wedding. It was the perfect way to finish our wedding, which we didn't want to end!
