Description
The gorgeous back drop of the Elizabethan Grade I moated house provides a romantic and ethereal scene for your celebration. If you opt for a marquee there is the option of Pond Lawn, Roost lawn and Poplar Lawn and The Orchard just off The Piggery. If you want a winter celebration, The Piggery can seat circa 60 and has a fabulous party deck. In Solar Meadow, there is a glamping area with a firepits and cosy seating.
Additional benefits are 8 beautifully decorated ensuite rooms each with a unique décor. These are included for the night of your celebrations and available for hire if additional nights are needed. The Roost is our romantic honeymoon suite away from all the rest.
There is access to the site for 3 days (day before and after your wedding for set up and strip down) and pets are allowed with prior approval. Best of all, we do not impose a cut off time so you can dance the night away!

We do not restrict our couples with packages and we try to work with each couple's budget . The cost for hosting a wedding with us is circa £5500 which includes one night of all the accommodation in the rooms (9rooms) . The use of the glamping meadow is free and we can offer additional folding beds for up to 4 more guests

- RRob & Shaz24/07/2025An incredible venue!An incredible venue!When we were looking for a wedding venue, we came across Morley old hall and instantly knew that it would be the one. The venue is incredibly beautiful and picturesque, particularly the Willow tree and garden where we held our reception. Despite having some rain on the day of the wedding, the space was so versatile that we were able to hold some of our day indoors in their Piggery which was also just as gorgeous! The place is very idyllic and aesthetically pleasing for any wedding in any weather. We just have to add as well, Portia and Hannah were absolutely amazing from the day that we picked the venue all the way through to the day of our wedding. They were so helpful, informative, accommodating, and just generally really lovely people who eager to help us where they could. Our communication with them was personal like we were talking to friends. Which made all the difference! We will be recommending MOH to others as a place to get married, one of our friends has taken up our recommendation and are due to get married there next year! Both Hannah and Portia were on hand from our first viewing right up until our wedding day. Hannah went above and beyond in helping us create the best wedding weekend ever! Nothing was too much and they accommodated our every idea. A truly memorable day we’ll never forget. If you’re after a bespoke DIY wedding with glorious surroundings then Morley old hall is the venue for you. Both Hannah and Portia were on hand from our first viewing right up until our wedding day. - RRux & Daz13/03/2024Hidden gem where dreams come trueHidden gem where dreams come trueIn the search of a place to stay and celebrate our little ones’ baptisms we found Morley which had it all and more to inspire us to get married too! Portia and Hannah made it all happen for us in a very short time. I could have not asked for more. Everything went smooth, great communication, flexible and happy to go the extra mile for special moments. We occupied all their 9 bedrooms, some had extra beds arranged for children and in their solar meadow we put 6 bell tents next to the fire pit. The Piggery is so beautifully decorated that you could simply go without extra or very little accessories. There is a professional kitchen and a bar too which you can use as you wish or hire contractors to manage it all just the way you wish. We had amazing weather to make the most of the stunning orchard where we had pizza ovens and a bbq setup! In the evenings we moved next to the fire pit for marshmallows and more fun. There is a huge garden which also accommodated a bouncy castle and a play area for our little ones and not to forget their beautiful grounds available to walk around the Hall and say hi to the animals. The photos won’t do its justice, take the time to visit- it is all worth it🙂. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Well, I HAVE to say, my own! We had just renovated the house and cottages and it was our first big event. We had a traditional service at the church at the end of the lane and then our guests were driven by vintage bus back to the grounds. We had a marquee on the lawn with a bar under the willow tree with loads of fairy light and candles.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Determine your budget and theme before you get bogged into details. If you want a country style wedding with a hog roast its very different feel to a formal breakfast with champagne. Dont worry about anything else but what you want as a COUPLE

The Anglo Saxon Moat and the gorgeous façade of the Hall This offers some of the most amazing photo opportunities with the roses cascading into the moat, the little humpback bridge and the couple's reflection on the water. So romantic!

The décor of the rooms and The Piggery . They are very special and guests always ask who designed them .... me !
