Milton Abbey is a unique and stunning venue set in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We offer the opportunity to get married and celebrate with your family and friends on the same site. The Abbey is just a stone’s throw from the Mansion House and the historic 15th Century Abbot’s Dining Hall, the location of your wedding breakfast. Our extensive grounds overlook the rolling hills and woods of the surrounding landscape for photos you will treasure forever. At Milton Abbey our team of talented chefs will prepare delicious canapes accompanied by Prosecco and served on the Mansion House lawns. This is followed by a bespoke wedding breakfast and a glass of Champagne to toast the happy couple. During the evening our popular speciality cheese table is presented with accompaniments for all your guests to enjoy. Our dedicated Wedding Coordinator is available to assist with all your wedding planning, as well as being on hand for your wedding day.

Our prices are simple, transparent and have no hidden surprises! We charge a flat-rate venue fee from £1,150, depending on the day of the week and the time of the year, then a 'per person package rate'. All of our packages include your ceremony, a drinks reception with canapes, a champagne toast, three-course wedding breakfast, a cheese table for your evening guests, and flowers. Stationery, meal-time wine and other extras are also included in our peak-time weekend packages.

The most magical day The most magical day
Milton Abbey was the perfect venue for our perfect day. Such a stunning location and the abbey is just breathtaking. Anne was the perfect wedding coordinator who took care of everything, looked after us and made the day run seamlessly. All of our guests were blown away with Milton Abbey and we had so many comments on the beauty of the venue and its surroundings. It was such a special day in a truly magical place. Milton Abbey was the perfect venue for our perfect day. Such a stunning location and the abbey is just breathtaking. Anne was the perfect wedding coordinator who took care of everything, looked after us and made the day run seamlessly. Absolutely superb - I love this venueAbsolutely superb - I love this venue
I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Milton Abbey and it is without question the most wonderful venue. The Abbey itself, the school and the grounds are simply beautiful (that view across the lawns to the hills beyond is as good as it gets) and the team, the coordination (Anne is just absolutely tireless when it comes to making your day perfect) and the catering - a real highlight - have always been nothing short of impeccable. From a photographer's perspective there is just so much to work with, and you can see on guests' faces the wow factor it brings. I've had the good fortune to see so many wedding venues in action over the years and can honestly say that if I could have my own wedding day all over again Milton Abbey would be right up there on a very short list.I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Milton Abbey and it is without question the most wonderful venue. Our perfect dayOur perfect day
After planning our Ceremony at Milton for over a year, sadly we were forced by Covid to postpone. After postponing time and time again, we eventually went ahead with 15 guest on April 17th. The stress of cancelling numerous times was hard but Anne was there for us every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and absolutely everything she could do to make our day extra special was done. We were very lucky with the weather which just added to the absolutely glorious scenery surrounding the Abbey and Anne's expert pointers for photos meant we were left with some beautiful photographs. Despite all the changes we had to make, it was such a special day and we cannot thank Anne and Milton Abbey for easing our stress and pulling off a truly memorable day full of love. An amazing dayAn amazing day
We had the most perfect wedding at MA at the start of December 2020. Not what we had planned, but turned out that a small intimate wedding with our parents was the most special way to celebrate our marriage. Anne and the team have been so flexible with our plans which now also involve a vow renewal (aka the big party) at MA later on this year. They helped to take the stress out of the decision and played a big part in making it possible for us to look back with a huge smile on our faces, remembering our wonderful day and how exciting the lead up to it was. Not to mention how stunning the venue is, my husband is an Old Boy so there was never any doubt MA was the place for us. Thank you so much. Fantastic Service and a Beautiful VenueFantastic Service and a Beautiful Venue
We booked our wedding for August 2020 and then again for April 2021 both of which had to be cancelled due to COVID. We are now keeping everything crossed for third time lucky in July 2022. Milton Abbey staff, in particular Anne and Nick, have been so kind, understanding and supportive to us through what has been an emotional time. They have carried everything over at no extra cost and with no hassle at all. They could not have done more to help. We are so looking forward to our perfect dream wedding day at such a special Venus and have complete confidence that it will all run perfectly. The Best Venue The Best Venue
We visited Milton Abbey in 2018 and immediately knew it was the place we had to get married. We booked for 2020 and unfortunately due to covid have still not had our special day. Hoping 3rd time lucky in 2022. Anne has been AMAZING throughout the entire process, always keeping us updated and we had no issues with postponing and moving everything over during the pandemic. All the staff we have met have been so lovely and welcoming. We are still so excited to get married here! The Abbey and grounds are absolutely beautiful and we were lucky enough to sample the food at a Christmas dinner which was delicious. Cannot recommend Milton Abbey enough!
