Marwell Hotel

Naomi and I had our wedding at Marwell Hotel recently and can we just say "WOW!" We cannot thank the Marwell Team enough (Especially Meg & Millie, the dynamic duo). These 2 were literally sprinting to meet all our needs, we were stress free throughout the whole day because of how amazing our wedding coordinators were, every question was met with "Yes, of course!" along with a lovely smile. To be frank, I don't know how they do it, I was shattered by the end of the day and all I had to do was stand for photos. 😂 Would definitely recommend Marwell Hotel for weddings/parties/events, the scenery was perfect for photos/video and it had a nice natural feel to it. 😁 Thanks again for all your hard work Marwell!

We had our wedding at Marwell Hotel at the end of July 2021 and it was incredible. The whole team at Marwell made sure everything went smoothly and there was absolutely nothing for us to worry about on the day! Elise was outstanding in the lead up, answering every little question we had and she was so responsive to make slight last minute changes when requested! Both Elise and Kasha were great on the day, we felt so well looked after and so did our guests. It was clear they have a genuine desire to make a wedding the best it can be, I don’t think there was any point I saw them without a smile. The venue is beautiful and the grounds do give some brilliant opportunities for amazing photographs. The food was lovely and they catered to all the different dietary requirement amongst our guests. We would highly recommend Marwell Hotel as a wedding venue.

We would highly recommend Marwell Hotel for a wedding. Our coordinator Elise was very helpful throughout with planning our wedding and helped to keep us positive with the unknown around covid. We had our reception in the Oakwood Suite and the room looked absolutely beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough for us. It is a perfect venue.

I recently got married at Marwell hotel, I can honestly say that we had the most amazing day any bride and groom could ever ask for. This is not only because the grounds are absolutely beautiful, but mainly because every one of the staff and the wedding team are such helpful dedicated people. Everyone was hands on, everyone was there to help and to insure everything went smoothly, and it really did. Everyone of my guests praised the food quality….the standards of the hotel and how reasonably priced the rooms are. They was all taken back by how beautiful the surrounding grounds of the hotel are. These are all the reasons I chose marwell as my venue for our special day, as I have visited the hotel many times before with our children for short breaks . Amazing place and we will be back again soon. Thank you to all at marwell hotel 😘

We recently got married at Marwell and had the most amazing day. We can't thank the staff enough for helping us pull the day together. Special mention to Megan our wedding coordinator who went above and beyond to make sure our day was successful. Thank you to the entire Marwell team. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the woodland settings are a perfect backdrop for all your photos.

Had our wedding at Marwell in Dec 21 and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is gorgeous, we loved having photos in the woods and the food was amazing. Rooms were clean and spacious and accommodated nearly all our guests! Elise and the wedding team were amazing in advance and on the day. All emails were answered promptly (including late the night before!) and they handled all set-up on the day. If anything went wrong, we didn't notice! Thank you so much for helping to make our day perfect

We had our wedding at Marwell Hotel Saturday 23rd July & wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making our day so incredible. We would like to give special thanks to - Gabby - She has always been polite, helpful and cheerful whenever we have visited the hotel. Zac - who provided us with incredible service & patience not only on the actual wedding day but also our meal the night before in the dining room Meg - couldn't have asked for a better person to be apart of our day, she was organized & interested in how we wanted our day to be The chef - our food was fantastic, not only did it taste great but the presentation was amazing The honeymoon suite is perfect, well decorated & the petals were a really lovely touch! Please do not book your wedding here! The service we received was awful and if we knew what we knew now we would not have booked to have our wedding here. There is far too much to write on here but some of our issues were… The communication the run up to the wedding was terrible, we had to arrange meetings with them and tell them that we needed to do a menu tasting. No help was offered when moving items around the hotel the morning of the wedding We hired the dressing room to get ready in the morning of the wedding and the table cloths had not been changed from the use the day before so were dirty. Basic breakfast no buffet option but had to pay to have the breakfast brought to the room Wedding coordinator was late and instead of coming to check on bride and groom, proceeded to show 4 potential couples around the venue and sell weddings to them. Groom saw bride before walking down the aisle as the hotel did not close the curtains in the Oakwood suite during ceremony. As the curtains were open others could just look in while walking past. The evening food was TERRIBLE! We had considerably less people than we had paid for evening food due to covid and we definitely did not receive the correct amount of portions. We decided to offer burgers and chips and chicken and chips and an vegetarian alternative (bride and groom are vegetarian) for the evening food. What we got was a dry plain chicken breast with fries in a polystyrene bowl, plain beef burger in a polystyrene bowl and for a vegetarian option we got a samosa, a pakora and an onion bhaji with fries in a polystyrene bowl. The burgers thats came out were completely raw and we were so embarrassed that they were served to our guests. The breakfast the following morning was wrong as they gave us meat breakfasts up instead of veggie breakfasts even though we confirmed with them prior. The jacuzzi and sauna were out of order when we using facilities the day before wedding which was disappointing too In addition to all these issues, the rooms were overpriced as many of our guests had poorly decorated or outdated rooms that had things broken or missing from them. Which left them feeling disappointed with many aspects of their experience. Please don’t waste your money here I know we won’t be coming back again.

We celebrated our wedding at Marwell Hotel this weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic! We booked out both the Maplethorpe and Oakwood rooms so that we had separate spaces for the ceremony and reception. It also meant we had use of the outside area between the two rooms which was lovely for our guests as it was quite a warm day! Marwell have been so lovely over the last 18 months whilst we've been planning our wedding and have always replied to our millions of questions! They organised menu tastings for us, put chocolates, fizz and rose petals in our bridal suite, and made sure that everything was perfect for our big day. Our day-of coordinator, Emma, was helpful in the morning, even fetching a broom herself and helping my groom and his ushers sweep the outside area to make everything perfect! When I arrived, Emma arrived to greet me and make sure I knew where I was going, before helping the bridal party sort themselves our and get ready for the ceremony. Afterwards she guided us somewhere private to have a few moments to ourselves before greeting our guests, and then made sure they everything ran smoothly for the remainder of the day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - both rooms are immaculately decorated and make such a beautiful impression when you enter. They were exactly what we were looking for! Only down side was that it was so hot inside! Definitely needed something to help cool the rooms down a bit! But then, I imagine it was probably the same in most venues that weekend! Thank you so much for all your help over the last year and a half - you really helped make our day special.

Thank-you to everybody who helped make our wedding day as perfect as it was. It was everything we wished for and went smoother than we could have ever imagined. Every member of staff we came into contact with was pleasant and professional. The kitchen/waiting staff provided the incredible food for the menu tasting and the wedding breakfast, the reception staff were always so helpful and knowledgeable, making checking in and ordering breakfast nice and easy. The team who turned the room around between the ceremony/breakfast/reception did an amazing job and so promptly too! Most importantly a massive thank-you to Sophie, our wedding co-coordinator. Despite still being fairly new to Marwell by the time our wedding came around she was incredible, she was up to date with everything that was pre-planned and offered us more services to make our day even better! She had everything under control on the day & knew exactly what we both wanted, definitely made things less stressful for us all and allowed the entire day to run as smoothly as possible. The venue was as perfect as the day and the food was amazing! would definitely recommend as a venue for events!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
