Description
Manor Mews is a tranquil and beautiful Norfolk wedding venue that has been lovingly restored to reflect its early 19th century beginnings. It’s situated in Tattersett – a small village, not far from the coast and King’s Lynn – and is immediately surrounded by lush farmland and rolling fields.
Manor Mews has a spacious yet succinct feel with both your ceremony and reception taking place in the Great Barn. The Great Barn is an impressive hall-like space that boasts exposed brick walls and high ceilings held up by grand beams – the perfect setting for a romantic, rustic wedding celebration.
Just outside the Great Barn is a pretty garden that’s bordered by thoughtfully placed boxed blooms and complete with a pretty pergola and patio.
There are 10 luxury cottages and converted barns on site, including the Manor House, which provide accommodation for up to 83 guests and can be booked separately should you wish to stay the night or make a weekend of it.

I can’t recommend Manor Mews enough for the perfect ‘low-key’ but luxurious converted barn vibe - it ticked all the boxes for us in terms of location, accommodation, alongside the most beautiful barn space and garden. The convenience of the wedding package including absolutely gorgeous food was a life saver! Our guests were so impressed with the cottages on site and really valued the full weekend hire as we got to spend time with family & friends around the busy day - it felt like a holiday & wedding rolled into one! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Manor Mews, or any of the Unique Norfolk Venues locations to any brides & grooms to be. Firstly the barn is gorgeous, such a lovely background for photos, it's ideal to have ceremony on one side and tables on the other. It's not too big but not cramped, and the bar is close to the dance floor so keeps everyone together. The grounds are lovely and great for photos (even on a damp day I assure you) and a nice garden and tables for fresh air. Then the fab UNV team and our wonderful planner Kath, you are in a safe pair of hands. UNV are so professional, they know exactly what they are doing and the day is so slick. Kath was amazing, from around 6 months you are told who your planner is, have a few meetings (and many emails!) to discuss all the details. Kath gave great advice and ideas, but also let us think outside the box. She was so helpful with weird requests throughout planning, and on the day she made it so easy, you ask for something, she did it. She also is a lovely person, big smile and really enjoyed that she was part of our day. PS food and service are fab. The accommodation is incredible and guests have said it will be weird to go to a wedding without this set up again. Staying onsite with over 60 of your best friends and family is fantastic, to walk 2 min between the cottages and to the venue itself is so fun, easy, perfect honestly. They are to such a good standard and 3 hottubs on site. It's perfect for a whole weekend wedding. We did a BBQ on the Sunday, bbqs and tables all there, a huge kitchen and aga inside if needed, and Tesco deliver so all you need is some helpful family members. We also had the getting ready room which was a lovely addition. If I was to get married again I would still choose here. Thank you to the whole team.Manor Mews is the perfect place to get married. From start I am talking from the planning right to the end. Kat as my wedding planner made this day happen and I can’t thank her enough, she went above and beyond to ensure I had the perfect wedding day and was happy with everything. She regularly kept in contact through the weeks and nothing was ever too much for an ask! I am so grateful to have had a wedding planner so beautiful, kind & thoughtful and I feel i made a friend from our wedding planning and day!! All of our family and friends said how lovely Kat was and did everything to ensure the day went smoothly and everyone was happy. We had around 80 guests stay overnight on the Wednesday before the wedding day & then on the wedding evening too and it really gave everyone the chance to get acquainted before the big day. We were able to make the most out of everything & feel as settled and nerve-free as possible. I highly recommend looking into staying at the venue with your wedding party as this made it all even more perfect for us! On the morning of the wedding my bridal party & I had the bridal prep room to fully relax before the craziness ahead, whilst the groomsmen started their day in the hot tub in one of the cottages! All amazing touches. The venue is simply amazing. Everything about it just oozes romance. We were guided through the whole process by one of the UNV team Olivia Howard who just made everything stress free and easy for us. We couldn’t have done it without her continued support and guidance! She is a credit to the UNV team. A delicious menu, full timeline organised for us & no details spared! She was there the whole way through the planning process, answering all my many questions!! She was the best wedding planner, and friend! The food was amazing! And all staff were also so lovely and helpful, we had so many guests say how delicious the food was and how amazing everything went. Can’t thank you enough.We had the best day ... everything went just how we wanted to and this was down to Katherine, putting so much effort in to everything and making sure everything went perfect. She was there the whole way through the planning process, answering all my many questions!! She was the best wedding planner, and friend! The food was amazing! Fast forward to 16th July 2022 we had the most beautiful wedding day. It was everything we visualised and more. The whole day was perfect. Our wedding planner Hannah Miller was the most wonderful lady we could have asked for. She made sure the day went perfect. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We've had so many wonderful weddings at Manor Mews! However, a few stand out weddings have had some amazing suppliers, including a live painter instead of favours, a magician and host bringing the energy and singing waiters fooling all of the guests!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make an inventory list of all of your decorations and box everything up by table. It helps you keep track of everything you have and makes set up much more enjoyable as you can relax knowing it's all there. Your coordinator will also be very thankful!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Translation cards on each place setting. The couple's families were from England and Germany, so they included a few general phrases to help them interact. It was a really lovely way to bring the two families together.
