Long Acre Barn is an 1859 Westmorland building that has been carefully restored into the romantic and charming structure it is today. The materials used to reconstruct our barn were chosen with the environment in mind, with timber sourced from our woodlands and up-cycled elements woven throughout the barn. Celebrate your special day enveloped in the natural beauty of Eden Valley for a peaceful occasion you will never forget. Long Acre Barn offers a variety of unique spaces for you to celebrate a relaxed day with friends and family. The Woodland Bar is located at the granary attached to the barn. The upper floor of the granary offers a cosy room with a beautiful log burning stove providing a charming space for entertaining your guests. Adjacent to the bar is an outdoor patio decorated in festoon lights. Here is the perfect area for you and your guests to enjoy a drink underneath the comfort of the pergola. Next to the patio space is their walled garden which oversees a magnificent view of the ancient woodland. The garden lawn provides an intimate spot for outdoor games and a reception. If you fancy a lively first dance underneath the spiralling lights of a disco ball, the Log Store provides rustic entertainment great for live music performances.

This is exclusive hire of the whole venue, accommodation in the farm house holiday cottage and the package is for 2 nights and 3 days. A fully staff licensed bar, sparkling glassware, magical festive lighting throughout the grounds and in the barn, on the day coordination. For weddings in 2024 free chair hire. The lower cost of £2,000 includes day hire only in low season. The higher levels of pricing is for the 3 day hire in peak season.

The best day of our lives! The best day of our lives!
I can’t recommend Long Acre Barn enough, but more importantly Janet, Jonny, Sally, Emma and the whole Addison family and wider team. Even before we went to see the venue we had seen it on social media and knew we would like to have our wedding there, and when we spoke to Janet and looked round we knew it was the venue for us! Janet is so calm and organised and relaxed which is everything we wanted for our wedding. She’s great at communicating, was available for video call as and emails whenever we needed, and she always one step ahead of the planning which is great when there’s so much to organise. We went to visit multiple times, could drop things off even from the Wednesday before the Saturday and she made us feel so at home. The house that comes with LAB was absolutely incredible - we stayed the night before and the night of the wedding and we felt at home. The interiors are incredible and it does just feel like you’re at home which contributed so much to having a relaxed run-up to the wedding. On the day itself, Janet and the team were just perfect. They made contact with suppliers which meant we didn’t have to worry about this and took control of everything meaning we could just enjoy the day. From being chauffeured from one side of the yard to the other with umbrellas with Elizabeth and Jonny and then on the other side to the orchard along with the rest of the guests, to them being so accommodating to every guest and making sure they were always topped up with a drink (very important!), they were all the absolute dream team and I wish we could do it all over again and I’m very jealous of anyone about to start the process! We even used Emma’s Acre Kitchen for afternoon tea for our Thursday registry office wedding and she dropped all the food off before we returned home which was all perfectly presented and the food was delicious. I couldn’t recommend LAB enough and just a huge thank you! We can’t thank Janet and her family enough for hosting our wedding here! It’s a beautiful converted barn with perfectly kept gardens, lights all around to brighten it up when it starts to get dark, their own bar with staff and the list goes on. We had the best time celebrating our wedding and Janet made sure everything was on time throughout the day and was there to answer any questions we had during the 2 years of planning. We couldn’t recommend this place enough!! 🤩We can’t thank Janet and her family enough for hosting our wedding here! It’s a beautiful converted barn with perfectly kept gardens, lights all around to brighten it up when it starts to get dark, their own bar with staff and the list goes on. We recently had our wedding at this beautiful barn venue, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. The setting was absolutely stunning — rustic yet elegant, with just the right touch of charm. The atmosphere felt both relaxed and special, which was exactly what we wanted. What made the experience though, was the support we received from the owners. They were incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself. Whether it was answering our questions or helping with last-minute details, they made everything feel so smooth and stress-free. Our guests are still talking about how lovely the day was, and we know it wouldn’t have come together so beautifully without the care and attention from the team behind the venue. From start to finish Janet and the team ensured we were able to relax and enjoy our day. The venue was simply beautiful, so easy to decorate and style. All the vendors comment on how easy and accommodating the venue was. We loved the different spaces and the flexibility to do it how we wanted and bring in family and friends to support our vision. Thank you Janet for all of your help and assistance. We cannot recommend enough. We got hitched in May 2023 and the venue is simply amazing. All of our guests were very impressed with Long Acre, the staff and the whole day! Even the sun shined ☀️ and made what was the best day of our lives. Thank you 🙏 Highly recommend!! Our wedding was such a memorable and beautiful day thanks to Janet and her wonderful family. We loved Long Acre Barn and the finish of the venue is incredibly professional and immaculately done! The different inside spaces the venue offers are all well thought through and we incorporated each space into our wedding easily. Janet was incredibly open and helpful all the way through the process and the family all work as a team on the day which is just brilliant. We felt very well looked after all day and cannot thank them all enough for their kindness and support! Thank you for allowing us to spend our day in such a stunning place and making our wedding as special as it was. We got married at Long Acre Barn in September. It was the most amazing day and there’s nothing that we would’ve changed. We were praying for some good weather so our guests could appreciate the beauty of the venue, and despite the forecast, the rain stayed away. All of our guests adored the venue and were so complimentary of the venue itself, and the lovely, lovely family who run the place. Janet, Johnny, Sally and Emma all helped along the way, from the organisation prior to the wedding, to running the bar on the day, to cleaning up afterwards. We could not recommend this place enough. An Amazing Venue An Amazing Venue
We were one of the first families to use Long Acre Barn, and it proved to be a great venue for our daughter’s wedding. The Addison’s were super to work with and made us feel very welcome. Long Acre has so much character, and you just have to visit it once to be convinced it’s the perfect place to hold a country wedding. There are so many facets to it - for example having a cottage on site for the family to use - but the icing on the cake was that by working with Janet we were able to easily personalise it for our event. The process of planning the wedding was such fun, in no small way owing to Janet’s help, and it resulted in a magical wedding day. Long acre barn, has it all. Look no further for your wedding venue! The beautiful barn was perfect for our winter wedding, it gave us the most amazing atmosphere throughout the day with its charm. From waking up in the cottage accommodation to our ceremony in the granary to the meal and live music in the barn. Janet and Johnny were so welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process, we had organised our wedding whist living overseas and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. We can’t thank them enough. It was the best day of our lives! Long acre barn, has it all. Look no further for your wedding venue! After looking at Long Acre Barn, I didn’t need to look anywhere else! What a gorgeous, rustic and cosy wedding venue. Janet was so lovely- friendly, welcoming, organised and knew exactly what she was doing with every area of the wedding planning. To add to it all, the little holiday cottage included is divine, and bedroom is lovely including an amazing copper bathtub! We had the best day of our lives and wouldn’t change a thing!
