The mellow Tudor brickwork and terracotta decorations make a fabulous backdrop for your photos. From the first time you see Layer Marney Tower you will be overwhelmed. It is a magnificent building with efficient, friendly staff, who make sure that your special day is indeed special. With great attention to detail our small team ensure that you and your guests have a worry free, fantastic day. Our caterers use only the best ingredients, where possible, locally sourced. Prices dependant on season, day of the week and year. The reception fee is a venue hire charge and therefore includes use of the Long Gallery, garden and grounds, heating, lighting, tables and chairs. Also included is an overnight stay in the Honeymoon Suite, known as the de Zoete Rooms and use of the chauffeur driven 1930's Rolls Royce.

Everyone was so caring and thoughtful during the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble. We could not have made a better choice. Karen, who was involved in the booking process from start to finish, was an absolute pleasure to work with, helping us along the way to make everything as easy as possible and in the most friendliest of manners. The caterers, Bouquet Garni, were nothing short of incredible. Charlotte from day one always made us feel that whatever we wanted, they could make work. Not only was all the food amazing, but again dealing with her was an absolute pleasure. On the day of our wedding she was the calmest woman on the planet and we just knew we were in safe hands with her so could enjoy our day as we wanted. We always knew that if Charlotte was there, things would be okay and we were so pleased she got to be part of our day. It’s like we had another friend there making sure our day went as smoothly as possible and I just don’t think “stressed” is in her vocabulary. She also said on multiple occasions “you’re the bride and groom, this is your day, we will make everything work around you” which also made us feel special. Graham with the hired car was also an absolute gentleman to share our day with and how smart he was too but also knew exactly how to look after the bride and her wedding address. They all contributed to what was our perfect day and were just glad they were all a part of it and we hope to see them all again soon when we visit again Layer Marney Tower provided the most beautiful and perfect backdrop for our wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Karen and Charlotte were absolute stars, keeping everything running smoothly and on time without ever making it feel rushed. We had a few unique requests (including arriving by motorbike and having a sidecar photobooth!), and everything was embraced with enthusiasm and care. Karen and Nick were helpful throughout and constantly supportive. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always responsive. The tower, barn, long gallery and grounds all looked stunning even on an overcast winter day. Karen's professional and welcoming show-round helped us choose the perfect rooms for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. The gardens are well maintained and along with the impressive Tudor Gatehouse, the venue provided the stunning background for our most treasured wedding day photographs. Our guests were suitably impressed too and talked about the day long after we had left. We were well looked after by the Caterers and their helpful staff. Thank you to everyone who made our BIG day a really memorable one. A beautiful place to be married. There are so many special areas where you can celebrate different parts of the day - from the beautiful gardens to the Long Hall to the barn. We utilised all of the spaces and it worked so well to have our guests move from one to the next for different sections of the celebration. The team at LMT is also a joy to work with, from recommending local vendors to quickly responding to any queries we had, we can't recommend them enough as hosts on your special day. Wish we could celebrate this day at LMT again and again!Layer Marney Tower is an amazing wedding venue! Allowed us to book visits as much as needed, even went as far as agreeing to have our engagement shoot at the beautiful layer marney before our amazing ceremony there. Helped calm my nerves and made the whole process so easy and relaxing. We rode in on horse back and carriage and had smoke bombs in the beautiful garden. It couldn't have gone smoother. Thank you so much ❤️Karen was amazing all the way through out planning process. The venue is beautiful & they are very flexible for you to be able to make the day exactly how you want it. The venue comes with approved caterers that you have to use, and they are also great. Too many to mention but we always enjoy hearing a personalised reading or vows during the ceremony, and seeing the four legged friend of the wedding couple accompany them down the aisle.

Photographers tell us they are spoilt for choice, whether inside or outside but we love all pictures taken on the steps with the backdrop of the magnificent Tudor tower.

Danny Dyer, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. There are many more, but we couldn't possibly divulge any details...!

A miniature Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and horseradish sauce.
