We had many guests with dietary requirements and the staff were absolutely wonderful with getting everything sorted for them. Helen in reception was a star when it came to chasing guests for room confirmation and keeping us updated as to who had dropped their room 😊and Jo our day Coordinator was absolutely amazing I couldn't say anything bad thing about her if I tried. Jo went above and beyond to help us from start to finish, we had people drop out the day before and Jo helped us move tables around and was ready to keep out any unwanted guest When Jo went home for the night she made sure we knew exactly who was taking over and neave was so kind and accommodating ❤️ if you are looking for a venue that will make sure your day goes absolutely smoothly keep the king Arthur and the team there in mind. If anything went wrong I never knew about it as the team were all over it before I noticed 💯 We had our day on 16.09.2025 and the day was absolutely amazing. - IIzzy06/09/2025Amazing venue and incredible staff!Amazing venue and incredible staff!Me and my partner had our civil partnership celebration on the 01/08/2025 at the King Arthur Hotel. We could not have been happier with how the day went and a huge part of that was down to the beautiful venue and amazing work the staff put into our day. From the first meeting up until the day the communication and attention to detail could not have been faulted. My partner has a severe nut allergy and the King Arthur made sure no nuts were in the kitchen for the day as well as ensuring the menu was still at a high standard (many guests fed back to us how delicious the food was!). Along with that they were so attentive and supportive in the run-up and really went out of their way to make time for us and our many questions / requests! In particular Rhian our wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic, impressively calm with a high attention for detail, along with all the staff that supported on the day and in the run-up. Something in particular we noticed was how they always made us feel that our day was important and the focus of their attention - which is such a skill when they deliver so many weddings throughout the year. The venue itself is unbelievably beautiful and the perfect setting for a celebration. We got married on a Friday which worked particularly well as it meant we could book out the hotel rooms the night before for us and our guests. From the moment we went to view the venue they were professional, friendly and went above and beyond to welcome us and explain everything in great detail. Nothing was ever too much trouble, even the endless emails and visits to the venue to show friends and family around prior to the wedding. Annelise was our wedding coordinator and we couldn’t be more thankful to have had her as part of our big day! The communication was exceptional from the start and even after the wedding. We feel as though we have made a friend for life and cannot wait to come back to see everyone with regular visits to the pub and hotel. Our day was truly magical and it would not have happened without the entire team at The King Arthur. Our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible everything was, from the mouth watering food (huge credit to chef!!) to the exceptional service and breathtaking venue. The day ran so smoothly, even despite the rainy weather. Every step of the way they were professional, helpful, responsive and had ideas and solutions to every detail. My wife is celiac and the King Arthur ensured that all the food at the wedding was gluten free but also stayed at a high level of standard. We had a meeting with the head chef James and wedding co- ordinator Rhian who put us at ease on what options were available (there was a lot of choice) The menu was 100% gluten free throughout and they went above and beyond to search for quality products that could be substituted so that our day could be perfect. Every dish that was ordered was received with glowing praise from all our guests, the lamb crocket starter was unbelievable with the pea puree and pickled carrots! James and his team deserve high praise for their food! We had an outdoor ceremony and the lengths they went to, to ensure it was unbelievable was brilliant. They even had a blower out to get rid of the dew so that my wife dress was kept immaculate. Rhian our wedding co-ordinator was amazing! She was so friendly and nothing was too much bother! She ensured that everything went smoothly from start to finish. It was a pleasure to have her as our co-ordinator. We would also like to praise how all the staff at the King Arthur were brilliant. We got married here on 17th February and we couldn’t have chosen a better wedding venue! All of the staff are so attentive, responsive and nothing is too much of an ask. They are so thorough and organised I had no worries that our wedding day would be perfect and it was! Our wedding coordinator, Rhian was absolutely incredible. She answered all of my questions I had and was so reassuring and organised during our meetings and on the day she was incredibly attentive. All of the staff at the King Arthur are so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel very special which is exactly what you want for your wedding! Joanna from housekeeping was so fab when we checked in and nothing was too much trouble! A few of our guests complimented how friendly and a laugh she was during their stay for our wedding. Justin the DJ made the evening of our wedding exactly how we wanted it and put up with our heavier music taste in the evening with all the groomsmen requesting songs so thank you so much Justin!! You made our evening 🤘🏻 The food on the day was incredible, all of our guests complimented the quality of the food and loved it. We literally cannot fault a thing about our wedding and this is down to the incredible staff at the King Arthur so just the biggest thank you!! The gardens are amazing, especially the fairylight willow tree. Everything is on site, so you don't have to leave. From the very first day we met our wedding coordinator Annelise to the wedding day itself, the King Arthur team handled every detail with such care, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better wedding coordinator! Annelise's patience, guidance, and incredible attention to detail made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable! We felt completely at ease knowing everything was in such capable hands, and we are so grateful for everything she did to ensure the day ran absolutely flawlessly. Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible our wedding was! The food was absolutely superb—everyone keeps commenting on how delicious it was. And of course, a huge shoutout to resident DJ Justin, who brought so much fun to the dance floor! We absolutely love the King Arthur; it’s such a beautiful venue, but what truly makes it special is the wonderful team behind it. It’s intimate with the accommodation, bar and function room all in close proximity. Perfect for brides getting ready in the cottage only having to walk across the path for their entrance! The food was an absolute highlight and we had so many compliments from our guests. The service is second to none. Our wedding co-ordinator Annelise was an absolute dream and looked after us in the months leading up to the wedding and on the day. She was there every step of the way and made us feel totally at ease. Amazing value for money. Would 100% recommend. Everything about this venue is perfect. We certainly couldn't single one out, there have been too many to mention! Each wedding is totally unique, we love seeing all the new trends which come and go over the years.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
You will know when you have found the one, the venue that is, because you will feel completely at ease there and confident that they will deliver your dream wedding! If you can see your friends and families enjoying drinks in the gardens or dancing the night away, then that is the venue for you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A video message from Craig David was pretty cool! It was shown to the Bride on our big projector screen at the end of the speeches. The groom knew how much she loved him so got in touch with him and he kindly sent over a personal message for her- to say it made her day was an understatement!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Photos nestled under the willow tree at night are so magical! The fairy lights trailing in the willow creates the most magical photos.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had quite a few over the years. Joanna Page from Gavin and Stacey was a wedding guest a few years back - she was really lovely.
What’s your favourite canapé?
We love the arancini balls. Full of flavour, vegetarian so a good all-rounder and something a little different to the norm.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
It has to be good old bacon rolls with lots of tomato sauce!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Probably the Pavilion in our flower meadow – it’s where our outdoor ceremonies are held, and it’s such a romantic, peaceful setting. The pavilion is hand crafted from Welsh Oak adding to its rustic charm, and it sits surrounded by wildflowers that change with the seasons. In the evening light, it becomes the perfect spot for dreamy couple portraits. It’s a truly unique feature that captures the heart of our venue
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The staff! We are renowned for our impeccable customer service and attention to detail. Week in week out we receive so many amazing reviews from our happy couples- such a rewarding part of our job! Also our recent award win for BEST WEDDING VENUE in South Wales (for the second year running!)
