- JJaclyn & Jamie03/02/2023Our wedding dayOur wedding dayWe recently had our wedding here in January, and from booking it in 2020 right up until the day I can't complain with the amount of help we have had from Suzanne, and if she wasn't in to reply to my emails then Jackie would make sure to. Nothing was ever too much bother for them even with the amount of changes we had to make in the few weeks before the big day. The day went as smoothly as we could have wanted and it was perfect from start to finish, the food was beautiful and the staff were also amazing all day. I'm so glad we made the choice to have our wedding here, and if anyone else is considering them then please do! And I won't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking. The events organisers, Sue and Jo, were fantastic, totally helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. On the day all the staff were very attentive and professional. As a wedding venue I would recommend it to anyone. The grounds are lovely and the old fashioned setting, if that's what you like, is just perfect.I can't fault this hotel in any way. A huge thanks to the team who ran the day so smoothly, not to mention the planning beforehand. We knew the day would run smoothly and it did. Our wedding breakfast was excellent, a choice of salmon or roast beef dinner and people only had compliments about the food. Imagine the surprise when this was surpassed by the BBQ that evening. Dietary requirements were well catered for too. In all a perfect wedding venue supported by excellent staff. We had a 5 star wedding at Judges. What a day. Never pushy and always understanding of our requests. She answered emails promptly and anything seemed possible. We went to Judges a few times to introduce the venue to friends and family before the big day and the staff were always so welcoming to us! We even got a glass of bubbly on the house, when I took my best friend a week before the wedding. They always remembered my name and that I was getting married there, this attention to detail made me feel so special. The wedding itself was spectacular. The area to have an outside ceremony is perfect, the grounds so vast. We had our reception in the main house, in the smaller Garden Room and it was perfect. Traditional and quaint with all facilities available. They even took a photo of us straight after the wedding and printed it out and framed it for when we sat down for our wedding breakfast. Such a gorgeous idea! I wouldn't have changed a thing. The staff seem to really enjoy working there and so its a credit to the managers as getting such thoughtful staff is so difficult nowadays. The staff were fantastic, they really made it. Nothing was to much trouble, they helped when ever we asked, even when we asked them to dance! Everything went as planned and Paul and Suzanne’s organisational skills, herding all the cats ( Wedding guests) into the right place at the right time was phenomenal. The food, wow, Paul the roast beef was fantastic. As for those special lemon meringue pies, what can I say it’s those little touches which made it all so special. An amazing place to have a wedding made all the more amazing by wonderful, friendly, attentive staff. Already booked our 1st Anniversary stay. They were so helpfull right from the start aiding us in all the organising of what we wanted, requirements etc. On the day everything was fantastic and the staff were so attentive to our needs and requirements. Food was beautifull from the main meal to the evening bbq. Very pretty grounds and a beautifull venue. The rooms were superb.We only had our wedding reception here but it was absolutely amazing. They were so helpfull right from the start aiding us in all the organising of what we wanted, requirements etc. On the day everything was fantastic and the staff were so attentive to our needs and requirements. Food was beautifull from the main meal to the evening bbq. Very pretty grounds and a beautifull venue. The rooms were superb.
