Description
Innes House is a 17th century Scottish country house set in the Moray countryside. Surrounded by a beautiful landscaped walled garden, and a marquee that encloses the memorial garden, this venue is not only stunning, but unique. Family owned, lived in and run, we take pride in helping you to create the wedding of your dreams. Our close knit staff will welcome you & your guests, and help you to plan a day that you will never forget.
You can opt to get married in our gardens where we have 3 area's that you can choose from, or inside in one of our ballrooms.
The marquee is attached to the house and creates a dining area, whilst the ballroom next to it becomes your dance floor in the evening. You and your guests can dine in the marquee around the fountain and enjoy the delights of dining outdoors whilst under cover. The summer house turns into a fully functioning bar, also inside the marquee. After a good night's sleep in one of our en-suite bedrooms, you can have a relaxing breakfast in the Red ballroom, with views across the gardens and rolling countryside.

- JJames and Katrina11/01/2023THE BEST VENUE THE BEST VENUEWe booked our wedding for July 2020 and with covid restrictions we ended up postponing two times and finally getting married July 2022! The Innes House team, in particular Jayne, were amazing! They helped us coordinate the change in dates and made the stressful experience less stressful every step of the way! Jayne is hands down the most caring, friendly and down right fantastic person. She went above and beyond to make our day amazing and so magical! She was so super organised and reliable, she offered to help whenever she could… to be honest I wouldn’t have wanted to get married without her! Nothing was ever a hassle or too much of an ask. Everyone needs a Jayne when planning a wedding!! When seeing the venue for the first time we instantly knew it was the right place for us. It’s beautiful and majestic presence set engulfed in the rich green landscape was stunning! The gardens were perfect and the rooms were filled with grand decor- all I could think was “ultimate wedding photo backdrop” (which it was)!!! On our day Jayne made sure we were organised and happy with every detail. Unfortunately, it rained so our outdoor wedding was brought inside - but this was actually even more special, it was intimate and the backdrop was just as stunning! I can not even think of enough positive words to describe our experience- do not hesitate, book this once in a lifetime venue/ experience! Jayne and her team go above and beyond at every opportunity. We actually live in the south of England and we have said several times that we couldn’t have found a more perfect venue for our wedding than Innes House if we had searched the whole country! The house itself is stunning with a relaxed, laid-back feel and effortless grandeur. The marquee is something that our guests made lovely compliments about. It really is special to have a garden in your marquee, rather than a marquee in your garden. The grounds are picture perfect and exceptionally well maintained. Our photographer got some amazing photos during our day. The staff were always so helpful and friendly throughout and our wedding at Innes House like clockwork. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble & it was so nice to have exceptional service to match the exceptional venue. If you want a perfect wedding at a perfect venue then look no further than Innes House! We’ll never forget our day there. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Each wedding is unique and different, so choosing the best wedding is extremely hard to do. One that does stick out in my mind, is the wedding of Lorna & Tor, they had a dress up box of bridal outfits, wigs, grooms outfits, and I think a bit of make up - they asked the guests to recreate their ceremony and the outcome was hilarious.

Set up an email address for all your wedding correspondence - keep it all in one place!
Be sure to book your photographer, minister/humanist/celebrant & band as soon as you have booked your venue. Then go shopping for outfits!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There have been so many personal touches, but I personally like to see memory tables, and photos of the couples parents and grandparents on their wedding days.

I love everything inside and outside Innes House, however, the marquee is my favourite place, its a beautiful space, it really has to be seen to understand how unique it is
