I got married in Ingestre Hall the 30th of June 2018. I'll go over all the different aspects of why Ingestre Hall was a perfect venue for my wife and me.
The first point to understand is that we wanted a venue where we could put our own stamp on the wedding. Some of the other venues will decide for you how your wedding will pan out but with Ingestre Hall you get a lot of freedom of how you want your wedding to play out.
Price wise Ingestre Hall offers a very competitive price for the use. The advantage is what you get. You get private use of the majority of the areas of the venue. This includes the front gardens, the rear gardens, the yellow room where I got married, the red room that is also licensed for weddings, the main hall where you setup your guests for the wedding breakfast and party, a room for the bride to get changed, a quiet room for people that need a break from the party, a fully functional industrial kitchen and an extra staging area next to it. All in all you will get a lot of private space where your guests can feel like they have a lot of room to move around, mingle, play games, etc.
In terms of booking and organization for the wedding the staff was excellent. They allowed us to have multiple visits to the site to show it to our photographers, our sound system guy, the bridesmaids, and pretty much any other person we wanted to show off where we got married.
Setting the day up we were allowed the use of the venue the day before the wedding for 4 hours, the day of the wedding 3 and a half hours before guest arrival and after the wedding 2 hours for collection. Even though we had a lot of decorations and setup to do the time was more than ample, and the staff was always available to help us with ideas. They are not wedding planners nor they will be helping you setup the decorations, but they will be there to give you ideas and a hand whenever required. We never felt we were left alone and we never felt we couldn't do something we wanted. I do have to say they have a strict policy with open flames on site so it is important you always check with them what you want to do on your wedding day.
On the wedding day the staff was absolutely fantastic, we had a mini catastrophe when the cake sank due to how hot the day was and a lot of the icing of the bottom layer came off. They provided a flower decoration that perfectly matched the cake in size, shape and saved our day. On top of that, we had guests with babies and one with Alzheimer and they allowed our guests to put the babies to rest for a while in the bride's changing room, they set up a baby change area in the quiet room and well a lot of tiny details that I can't even count.
The venue itself is so grand it doesn't need much doing to make it into an excellent wedding venue, but any decorations you do will be magnified by its grandeur so you can go minimal or all out an you still will have an excellent day. The internal space is so generous you will never feel tight or uncomfortable and there are always enough chairs for the guests at all stages of the wedding.
The venue also provided for free the use of indoor games like pool tables and connect 4 that allowed us to use the yellow room as a games room after the ceremony. This was a hit for our guests since we had many of them that didn't enjoy dancing as much and they could have their own space to have fun at night.
Most people feel like their wedding day goes too quickly, but we had so little concerns during the day thanks for the support we felt that we could actually enjoy the whole day. I wish I could get married again (with the same woman ^_^) only so that I can enjoy this beautiful venue again.
I have to thank again all the staff for their hard work on our wedding day.
