Great communication from the events team, everyone we dealt with acted proactively and professionally and were quick to respond to any quieres we had. Everyone was incredibly helpful and polite as we were looking to book an event plus a wedding room and also rooms for certain guests. The food choices were varied and tasted great. Any allergies were adhered to. The hotel itself was incredible. The decor and mood of the room was nice and rustic which is what we wanted for a York based venue.Great communication from the events team, everyone we dealt with acted proactively and professionally and were quick to respond to any quieres we had. The hotel is beautiful and bright and quirky inside. We had a very unconventional wedding and the staff fully understood everything we asked for. Even though it is an upper market place the staff are down to earth and not overly formal which is just what me and my husband wanted. Our suite was wonderful. I wish I could do it all again. Thanks to everyone at hotel du vin. I would recommend anyone wanting a smallish wedding in York to go there.The hotel is beautiful and bright and quirky inside. We had the most amazing day at hotel du vin York on 04.05.25 for our wedding it was perfect from start to finish the staff were amazing as was the venue & the food. We had guests that had travelled for the occasion & they stayed for 3 nights & had the best time ( we stayed the night before the wedding & the night of it was perfect ) the staff made us feel so special & did everything they possibly could to make the day perfect for us we can’t recommend enough!We had the most amazing day at hotel du vin York on 04.05.25 for our wedding it was perfect from start to finish the staff were amazing as was the venue & the food. Our wedding day couldn't have gone better. The staff did everything possible to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and it was stress free. We don't have enough words to thank the staff at the hotel du vin in York, for making our day so incredibly special and unique. They saw our vision and completely transformed the hotel into everything we could have imagined. Not to mention, how punctual the staff were with turning the room around for the evening. Exceptional service all around. The Rawcliffe'sOur wedding day couldn't have gone better. The staff did everything possible to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and it was stress free. We don't have enough words to thank the staff at the hotel du vin in York, for making our day so incredibly special and unique. I have just returned from a 3 night break here which included my wedding meal. Right from booking the wedding until the actual day I could not fault the arrangements. We had several pre wedding meetings including menu tasting to ensure everything went smoothly. I was staying in one of the suites and it was lovely, most of the guests were also staying and were all impressed. The bar areas are lovely and cosy meaning we could all relax the evening before the wedding. All the staff were exceptional, especially as they appear to be short staffed. The day of the wedding went without a hitch, everything was as planned, the food was delicious and the whole day was wonderful, special mention must go to the exceptional staff serving the food who were working so hard, we saw some serving breakfast that morning and still serving in the bar at 11pm. Thanks also to the chefs and behind the scenes staff who worked so hard to ensure everything came out perfectly. Came to this hotel for a family wedding. Stayed 2 nights from arrival to departure. I couldn't fault a thing. The room was beautiful, with everything that was needed, and my room included a roll top bath and a walk-in shower. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfast was delicious and lots of options for every taste Would definitely return and recommend.Came to this hotel for a family wedding. Stayed 2 nights from arrival to departure. We had our wedding at Hotel du Vin in York, and it was everything we hoped for and more! From start to finish, the staff were absolutely lovely, making all of us feel so welcome and special. The hotel itself has such a unique aesthetic—intimate yet still with a sense of grandeur—which was exactly what we were after. Even with our smaller wedding, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, and I can imagine that the same sense of exclusivity would come through for larger weddings too. It was also budget-friendly without feeling like we compromised on quality. We got married here last week and had the day of dreams, from the moment we checked in the night before right up until the day we checked out the staff could not do enough for us. The accommodation is stunning, the food was exceptional and the staff are the best people we could have ever asked for looking after us for such a special moment in our life. I felt sad to leave after the most magical couple of days and have already bugged my husband to book for us to come back again before Christmas! A special thanks to Scott for being like an extended family member looking after us, helping wherever he could and calming the nerves on the big day. Kate for being wonderful on our menu tasting visit and on our wedding day ensuring the day was seamless. Adam, for being so kind, calming, helpful and professional. Michelle in the bistro for being excellent with our daughter and couldn't do enough for us. Ben behind the bar and every other member of staff who was there whilst we were, you were all so wonderful!
