At Holiday Inn Barnsley you have the option to choose from: Hamilton Suite (with views of the garden)- which holds maximum 70 guests and is one of our most popular choices. Wilkes Suite- located on ground floor with large arched windows and decorated beautifully. The Wilkes can seat up to 90 guests. O’Hara 1 or 2- one of the largest rooms located on ground floor level. These rooms can easily seat up to 200 guests. Secret Garden – Beautiful and fully licensed for civil ceremonies. The registrar decides on the day if the ceremony can be carried out so it is good to have a backup room indoors. The Secret garden can seat up to 90 people.

The Holiday Inn at Dodworth (The old Brooklands Hotel) was nothing short of exceptional for our Wedding last weekend. Myself and Georden would like to thank all the staff for making our wedding day really special. You all worked exceptionally hard to provide everything we needed, both Friday night and all day Saturday. Lauren the wedding coordinator, throughout the last two years of preparation, ensured everything was covered, and that we were happy with everything we were doing. Her help in the weeks leading up to the event was brilliant. All the way through, clear and concise, we knew exactly what was happening. And on the weekend she was just second to none in helping us get everything exactly how we wanted it. On the actual day, she was reassuring at times when we were both stressed out, and she really did make the whole day run like clock work along with the catering manager John. John was nothing short of class, again as all the staff were, kind, caring, a-tentative and aware of all our needs through our wedding. John's timing and approach was impeccable, along with all your other staff. John was running about all day, without even breaking a sweat. I worked as a manager in retail for years, and worked long 15/18 hour shifts at busy times, and it is really hard to find individuals that are prepared to work outside of a normal 8/9 hour shift pattern. Not only that are prepared to do it, but that actually do it well. Lauren and John you are an absolute credit to the team, as well as all the rest of you that worked so hard last weekend. Everybody who came to our wedding absolutely loved the ceremony, the venue, the rooms, the food all of your staff. Everyone had a fantastic day. Even our two little girls Alice & Mila. You guys helped them get drinks when they needed them, and Mila even wanted some strawberries when she saw them on the adult deserts, and one of your kind female staff went out of her way to get her some, even though she didn't have to, again going the extra mile. Alice is a very nervous little girl, but you all definitely helped her overcome this, especially when she walked down the aisle first with Aunty Kirsty. I didn't actually think she would do this but she did, and I'm sure it was because she felt comfortable in her surroundings, and comfortable with all of your staff. Me and Georden had a fantastic wedding, and this is because of all of you, and we can not thank you all enough. So from me Georden, Alice and Mila, please please pass on our thanks to the whole of the team for making our wedding a success!! All I can say, is that if you are looking at wedding venues, and you are considering this, I wouldn't even bother considering it, I would just book it! Ive been to loads of weddings in a load of different venues, one's that are supposedly really expensive venues, and they were not even a patch on this. Thanks again for everything!
