Describe the best wedding that happened at Hazel Brow?
Many of the family have chosen to get married at Hazel Brow but obviously I've got to chose my own wedding as the best ;-) Unfortunately, we didn't hold a licence when I got married in 2017 however, we still used the venue as family and friends came from afar to help us celebrate and prep. We hired in a hot tub https://www.hazelbrow.co.uk/family-holidays-in-the-yorkshire-dales/hot-tubs/ which was perfect for relaxing on an evening after a day of foraging wild flowers and heather and prepping our wedding gifts of damson gin made with the fruit form the trees in the garden. A good friend of mine drove me to the church in his vintage tractor, we were married on the same date as my Grandma and Grandpa, the glorious 12th! With this in mind we used grouse feathers for confetti and shotgun cartridges as table name holders where we'd printed polaroid photos and wrote individual messages to our guests. We had the alpacas, sheep, and family lab Belle all dressed for the occasion with flowery collars. The alpacas roamed near by providing entertainment for the little ones, we had sheep racing with drinks tokens for the lucky winners whilst Belle was happy meandering and hoovering up any left overs......typical lab. The evening was spent by the fire-pits under the dark skies https://www.hazelbrow.co.uk/family-holidays-in-the-yorkshire-dales/stargazing/ admiring the annual Perseids meteor shower. It was a truly magical day that held so much sentiment.
