We keep things intimate by hosting only a few weddings each season—just one per weekend from June to September. This means you get the whole weekend to set up, celebrate, and unwind, with access from Friday afternoon through to a relaxed Sunday checkout. Whether you envision saying your vows outdoors or indoors, we have beautiful licensed spaces to suit your style:

Our main event space, The Grain Store, comfortably seats up to 150 guests for dining and can host up to 180 for your evening reception. We provide simple, tasteful décor like bunting and festoons, but encourage you to bring your own personal touches to make the space truly yours.
Just outside the barn, a spacious stretch tent with straw bales and a large iron firepit creates a welcoming outdoor lounge area—perfect for your guests to relax and mingle under the stars.
You have complete freedom to choose your own caterers and suppliers, and we’re happy to share a list of trusted local partners. Plus, with our on-site brewery, you can pre-order craft beer brewed right here at Hawthbush Farm to add a special local flavor to your celebration.

The whole experience was seamless, caring, and thoughtfully run - yet still felt natural, homely, and genuine, without any of the pretence that some wedding venues can have. It truly felt like a home away from home, set in the most beautiful countryside, with sweeping views across the fields and downs. From the moment we chose Hawthbush, Bella and the team were there to help with everything. The catering was outstanding - honestly one of the best meals we've had! We had a BBQ with sea bream and fresh vegetables that we’re still dreaming about to this day! It tasted home-cooked, delicious, and celebratory - no small feat when cooking for over 100 guests! The party we threw at Hawthbush has gone down in history among our friends and family, with so many saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We have Hawthbush Farm and the entire incredible team to thank for that. Bella, both Tobys, and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible throughout the day, adjusting to whatever we needed. Even though we managed to book the rainiest day of the month, we somehow found a sunny gap and were able to have our ceremony outside, just as we’d hoped! The celebrants, whom we met only shortly before the ceremony, were so relaxed and funny that they immediately put us at ease. The ceremony itself, held out in the woods, was absolutely beautiful. The caterers, Circa Events, were fantastic, we had so many guests tell us afterward how much they loved the food. We’d definitely recommend having a live band too; it fit the vibe of the barn wedding perfectly and really brought the evening to life. Our friends and family stayed in the onsite accommodation, which was lovely and convenient. Even though Toby’s farm is close to much of the accommodation, it never felt intrusive in any way. We couldn’t recommend Hawthbush Farm more highly, the venue, staff, and whole atmosphere made it truly unforgettable.Our wedding at Hawthbush Farm was easily the best day of our lives. The best weekend of our lives!Hawthbush was the first and only wedding venue we saw - we didn’t need to see anymore after falling in love with it! It was perfect - outdoor woodland ceremony, beautiful countryside views, on-site brewery which we booked for the Friday night and Sunday to make a full weekend of celebrations, straw bails, firepits, glamping and beautiful farm houses, hot tubs, stretch tent reception area and barn big enough to seat our 150 guests and plenty of room dance - it literally had everything we wanted, which we thought would be impossible to find! Bella was amazing throughout - so kind, attentive and accommodating. Tobes, Nausicaa and all the other staff were brilliant too - so friendly and welcoming. They really think of all the big and small things to make the day run smoothly and feel special. We also met Toby the owner over the weekend who was great and made us feel so welcomed at his home and farm. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was and now all want to move to East Sussex! We couldn't be happier about choosing Hawthbush and we will be forever grateful to everyone there for making it the best weekend of our lives! They were adaptable to our various needs, and made their venue so we could make our wedding our own and genuinely made us feel special as a bride and groom. So many places churn out weddings and make you pick their packages whereas Hawthbush allow movement and room for you to make your day how you want it. From the get go Bella was fab, always responsive to messages and laying out when payments and different things needed confirming. They work with their brewery and it means you get a fantastic variety of beer rather than the usual warm Amstel and it just lifts the mood. On the day they were first class and made sure everything was adaptable as timings slipped and made each possible issue seem like no bother. Organising a wedding with 150 guests is hard but Hawthbush made it seem so easy. The ceremony area is a fairytale dreamland to get married in, the barn and fields are perfect for photos. I cried with joy the first time I saw the venue, and the photos and memories we made from our day are something we will treasure forever and I will continue to cry with joy that we got to get married there! The on site accommodation is superb, we had friends that would never usually camp LOVE glamping and it was all better than described! I don’t think we could have found a better venue for us if we’d hunted through a million more. From our very first visit to the venue we loved the atmosphere and the welcome we received. Bella was brilliant, her wonderful, warm nature is so reassuring and we felt totally safe and at ease throughout every stage of our planning process. We love the rustic yet modern style at Hawthbush and having accommodation on site was perfect for our bride and groom squad, along with our families. Being able to get married in the woods was also really special and even though it rained a lot on our wedding day, there are enough under cover areas at Hawthbush for people to still be outside and inside. Bella and Toby were amazing and so helpful on set up day and during the wedding day itself. They are extremely patient and so accommodating - such a great team! Right from the start we were looked after by the team who made everything easy and really reaffirmed that we'd made the right decision. The ceremony itself was held down in the wooded clearing under a huge oak tree which is in itself a magical experience.
