We had the whole hotel to ourselves and our friends from Friday night until Lunchtime on Sunday and it was a weekend none of us will ever forget. From the first call with Zee (who is amazing by the way) to the whole weekend we couldn't have asked for more. Took all the stress and worry away. Had our Wedding at The Haweswater Hotel. What a fantastic day. We had the whole hotel to ourselves and our friends from Friday night until Lunchtime on Sunday and it was a weekend none of us will ever forget. From the first call with Zee (who is amazing by the way) to the whole weekend we couldn't have asked for more. Took all the stress and worry away.

The views over to Riggindale & High Street are sublime. I remember visiting a few years back to try & catch a glimpse of the golden eagle but sadly it hasn't been sighted since 2015. We came today for lunch, and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We received a warm & professional welcome, and so did our dog Archie ! The hotel is decorated in Art Deco 1930's style, it is cosy and stylish. The hotel is clean, quirky and lovely! Couldn't fault a thing. Then we had a stroll into the garden area, taking in the vibrant rhododendrons and the breathtaking views of Haweswater. I've stayed in the hotel before, the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view across Haweswater is spectacular, so are the hotel gardens in summer. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Since moving to Cumbria we now bring all our visitors here for lunch and it never disappoints. If you are lucky you might also spot Red Squirrels. The hotel has a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. It is an absolute must stay for fans of vintage style and the Art Deco period.This is my favourite place in the Lake District. We found a 1930s theme which is carried off really successfully, wonderful rooms full of period design and decor, and a dining room with a menu to really savour. Am I waxing too lyrically? A great celebration of local produce. The surroundings of the hotel made the stay magical. We can't fault it at all and both made the comment, the only place we've stayed in that was better is the savoy! The garden and views are amazing! The hotel and my partner also managed to arrange a cake for my birthday, which I didn't expect but was absolutely delicious! The staff were faultless and so good with our toddler which was greatly appreciated. Our room was great and everything you could need being a small family. We were also kindly shown the self catering accommodation on our checkout and it is fantastic, everything you could need and very luxurious. We are already looking at returning.This hotel was absolutely incredible! We can't fault it at all and both made the comment, the only place we've stayed in that was better is the savoy! The food was very good and the staff professional and attentive. The position is beautiful in the depths of the country in the Lake District but local attractions are not too far away. A walkers’ paradise. We hope we can visit again. Attached is a photo of the view from our bedroom window.We really enjoyed our stay. This 1930s Art Deco hotel is charmingly decorated in the style of the day with very attractive artwork. The food was very good and the staff professional and attentive.
