A former country seat of the squires of Sedgefield, this venue has a lively story to tell, with the original estate dating from 1183 and the manor from 1435. Hardwick has since been transformed into a sumptuously appointed hotel with outstanding facilities that can cater for weddings of varying sizes and styles. Facilities and Capacity We are delighted to unveil a brand-new offering for 2023 - The Lakeside Marquee. During the warmer months, the Lakeside Marquee is a truly unique offering to the north east, surrounded by breath-taking views of Hardwick Park and grounds. The Lakeside marquee, complete with fire pits, an intimate garden and twinkling lights provides a truly bespoke venue with the ability to add your own personal touches and create your perfect wedding day. This moldable venue has it’s own tailor made bar, perfect for arrival drinks as well as plenty of space for up to 160 of your most loved friends and family to enjoy exquisite dining and further celebrations until late in the evening. Hardwick Hall is fully licensed for civil ceremonies, including the ability to provide an outdoor ceremony. You can choose to say your “I dos” at the romantic Tuscan alcove, set in a secluded area of the grounds boasting magnificent lakeside views. If an outdoor ceremony isn’t quite for you, our Floral Chapel may be more suited. Combining romance with elegance and fabulous traditional features, including the ceiling-high fireplace adorned with flowers and exposed wooden beams, it creates the perfect backdrop for your enchanted wedding ceremony. Along with the beautiful Floral Chapel, which can accommodate up to 120 guests, this venue offers an extensive range of alternatives for your wedding breakfast and ceremonies. We got married here on Saturday in the beautiful Floral Chapel and everything was absolutely perfect,the day ran smoothly thanks to Ella and Kalum who nothing was a problem for. Thank you for taking the time to be so helpful to my dad it was greatly appreciate and making him feel comfortable Kalum We would like to take this opportunity to thank Helen and Paige who dealt with us throughout and who answered all my questions no matter how daft. We would like to thank the lady, we didn't catch her name, who put the table decorations out so beautifully and exactly how we envisioned. All the staff were polite and professional throughout especially the barman in the main bar for the after party! He was very patient with us despite the late hour. Thank you all for making our day so special, memorable and stress free. We got married at Hardwick Hall Hotel on 8/8/24 and it was THE most perfect day we could have wished for. I could write paragraph upon paragraph about our day, but the purpose of this review is to shine a light on the fantastic staff who are an absolute asset to the company! Massive thank you to Paige, Helen, Craig and all the other staff who worked that day. Your kindness, calmness, professionalism and high standard of service was second to none throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much trouble, no question was too silly. They were always happy to meet with us whenever we needed. We used to drive to Hardwick for wedding meetings feeling stressed about the monumental task of organising such a thing, but we’d always leave with a sense of calmness and clarity that seemingly only the coordinators could provide. To anyone getting married or considering getting married at Hardwick Hall, sit back and relax, you’re in for a smooth ride, as these guys know their stuff inside and out! One final note as I believe Paige, Helen and Craig will have a giggle at this one, I (the groom) cried tears of joy all day…. Visited for Mother’s Day Lunch and it was absolutely faultless. We did the set 3 course dinner, and the food, service and atmosphere was 10/10. A fantastic room overlooking the park and lake, great staff in the hotel and a wonderful meal in the restaurant. This was topped off with a lovely breakfast the next morning. We have already planned to return to this hotel. Beautiful hotel set in beautiful grounds. You must try the steak in garlic butter.....amazing. Huge bath and huge bed. Heaven. Staff were very helpful and chatty. My daughter was married in Hardwick and everything was just perfect. From the food the night before in the rib room to the day itself. Everything ran smoothly, the wedding team handled everything making as stress free as possible. Just perfect 🥰My daughter was married in Hardwick and everything was just perfect.
