Describe the best wedding that happened at Hallsannery House?
At the risk of sounding cheesy, every wedding is the best wedding as there really is no 'standard' Hallsannery wedding! Our approach is professional, but very relaxed - you have Hallsannery House for 3 nights over the duration of your wedding weekend so can 'move in' and make the wedding of your dreams - not ours.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Minimise the number of 'moving parts' in terms of suppliers wherever possible - for example, ask caterers to order tablecloths, tables if necessary, cutlery, glassware etc to avoid things 'falling through the cracks'. Our caterer will not only provide fantastic food, but will also sort out all aspects of your drinks - bring in glasses, make sure it's served at temperature and on time - that way you don't have to worry and can enjoy your day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of our couples had a very international wedding party so created a very brief fun 'bio' for each guest which they shared, so that they had an idea of who was who. It made for a fantastically sociable weekend especially where guests didn't necessarily know each other before hand.
