We fell in love with Hallington Mill in 2016 and took on the rejuvenation of the estate as a real-life family adventure, a true labour of love. Offering you the warmest of welcomes, our approach is down-to-earth and genuine. Weddings here are an invitation to join this adventure and make it part of your own story. At the heart of the estate, the historic Mill and Threshing Barn have been lovingly restored and blend luxury, design and historic features with a relaxing pragmatism. There are also several entertaining spaces, a huge country farmhouse kitchen, cinema room and a dining room which seats 20 - perfect for intimate weddings, pre-wedding dinners and post-wedding breakfasts! The Mill and Barn are available for small intimate weddings of up to 20 guests throughout the year. For larger groups we have the Hay Shed, once a rustic backdrop, this characterful building has been lovingly converted and blends its industrial heritage with touches of elegance, providing a unique space in which you can tailor and host your wedding for up to 120 guests. With either option you can hold your ceremony in various places on the grounds or woodland allowing you to create your own, intimate wedding experience. Select your own suppliers & timings and how to structure your wedding stay. Our Kind Of Weddings.... Not a traditional venue as such, we only host a small number of weddings each year, in part to respect the beauty and tranquillity of the site but also to balance the environmental impact. Our approach is deliberately low-key and we cater for those with an independent flair who seek a more relaxed occasion. We feel weddings should be savoured and never rushed so our focus is on bringing people together in a place which helps you to slow down, remember what’s important and create new precious new memories.

Hi, I own and run Hallington Mill with the help of my husband Rob. We are very hands on, Hallington Mill has been our family project for the last nine years. We have slowly restored the buildings into a wedding reception space and accommodation. It will be Rob or I at the end of every email and viewing and the ones who guide you through your wedding journey if you choose to share it with us and host your wedding here at Hallington Mill.

We knew it was the venue for us as soon as we pulled up in the car, Rob and Elizabeth were very accommodating and showed us round numerous times, as well as answering all of our questions over a cup of tea! It's a stunning venue and even on a not so warm day in September it was still an amazing day. We loved the fact that all weddings at Hallington are unique, as you have the flexibility to bring in companies such as caterers that suit you, and you can have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The view is also stunning so you get the most amazing photos! I'd highly recommend this venue to everyone, it's simply the best! P. S it's also dog friendly, our pooch had a whale of a time! The location is stunning, the accommodation is amazing and the hosts Rob & Elizabeth are both such brilliant people who share so much enthusiasm for your event. We were looking for a wedding venue that was almost a blank canvas so that we could use whatever suppliers we wanted and set up whatever we needed to make our day unique to us and Hallington provided that and more! We decided after our wedding that we just had to come back and if we were ever lucky enough to have children that we'd host a naming day there too. True to our word 3 years later (almost to the day) we returned and hosted a naming day for our two beautiful children! It was so clear to see that Rob & Elizabeth have poured their heart and soul into the place and the changes they had made in those years were amazing and made visiting again even more special! We really love that any wedding or event here is so special and personal and you can really take time to make special memories with your loved ones. The place is so peaceful and private and your day is really YOUR day with no on lookers. The setting, accomodation, ceremony grounds and reception space were all wonderful. We had a woodland ceremony which felt so magical and then games and drinks outside before dinner and dancing in the barn. We love the outdoors as well as weekends with family and friends, and this venue allowed us to feel comfortable and plan a day which was very us! Elizabeth and Rob were very helpful and kind in the lead up and the weekend of the celebration.We loved planning our wedding at Hallington mill. The place holds a lot of special memories. So when I heard they were using the mill as a wedding venue, I knew it was the only place I would want to get married. It is set amongst stunning countryside and a forest. We chose to get married outside by the little stream. The entire location is stunning and everything was perfect. Elizabeth was thorough with communication and made the whole process a breeze - she is a fantastic host. Everything was thought of and so much care was put in to the smallest of details. I couldn’t have asked for a better day!I have been going to Hallington Mill for many years for my birthday. The place holds a lot of special memories. Elizabeth & Rob could not have done more to make our weekend perfect. From our woodland ceremony to our ceilidh dancing it was such a special day. With us already having children we had a nanny come for the day who supervised all of the pay in the woods and on the play area. This gave us the freedom to relax and enjoy our wedding. That it is authentic, a former water mill lovingly converted that was sat unloved for so many years. Now filled with character and new love and laughter.
