Offering you the warmest of welcomes, our approach is down-to-earth and genuine. We always offer access over three days and two nights when you choose to host your wedding with us. At the heart of the estate, the historic Mill and Threshing Barn have been lovingly restored and blend luxury, design and historic features with a relaxing pragmatism to offer luxury accommodation. There are several entertaining spaces, a huge country farmhouse kitchen, cinema room and a dining room which seats 20 - perfect for intimate weddings, pre-wedding dinners and post-wedding breakfasts! The Mill and Barn are available for small intimate weddings of up to 20 guests throughout the year. For larger groups we have the Hay Shed, once a rustic backdrop, this characterful building has been converted and blends its industrial heritage with touches of elegance, providing a unique space in which you can tailor and host your wedding for up to 120 guests. You can host your ceremony in various places on the grounds, in the Hay Shed, the Woodland or on the Paddock, allowing you to create your own wedding experience. Select your own suppliers & timings and how to structure your wedding stay. We are not a traditional venue as such, we only host a small number of weddings each year, in part to respect the beauty and tranquillity of the site but also to balance the environmental impact. We feel weddings should be savoured and never rushed so our focus is on bringing people together in a place which helps you to slow down, remember what’s important and create new precious new memories.

Hi, I own and manage Hallington Mill with the help of my husband Rob. We are very hands on, Hallington Mill has been our family project for the last ten years. We have slowly restored the buildings into a wedding reception space and accommodation. It will be Rob or I at the end of every email and viewing and the ones who guide you through your wedding journey if you choose to share it with us and host your wedding here at Hallington Mill.

Furniture included
A venue hire price varying through the year and between midweek and a weekend weddings. Our venue hire includes 3 days of exclusive use of our venue including its land and woodland, full planning and coordination, host your ceremony & reception here, staffing, bar service, furniture, lighting, music system, food tasting, set up and take down assistance. We do not have any food or drink minimum spends.
Accommodation for up to 19 guests at an additional fee - ranging between £3000 - £4000 for two nights in our 8 luxury bedrooms. We do ask couples to take all of the accommodation for the two nights. Most of our couples do charge this back to guests and keep one room for themselves.
We welcome external caterers but can also share some packages with you of our favourites. As an indication a package including 3 canapes & a 2 course meal would be £55 per head for 50 guests or more. Drinks package available at £22per head for three guest drinks for 2027 weddings. This would be the same price per head up to our 120 guest maximum.
We offer to hire our event space as a dry hire or as a full service. If you take the dry hire everything is included apart from the food and drink. You are then welcome to hire in your own caterers.
We pride ourselves on being fully flexible and a place where you can design how you want your wedding to be from your timings to what you would like to eat....

Beautiful countryside views, a Rustic and elegant barn interior, and that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern luxury. What truly made the day unforgettable were the owners and staff. They were an absolutely amazing from start to finish. Organised, calm, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they handled everything behind the scenes so effortlessly that all we had to do was enjoy every moment. The food and drinks were incredible — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and exactly what you want for your wedding: quality, generous portions, and compliments from all our guests. The service team were friendly, attentive, and kept everything flowing so naturally. You can select your own caterers but Elizabeth and Rob have great recommendations! You end up with amazing food, not dry bland wedding food you have paid £120 a head for!! Our food and drink was so much less than we realised when we booked. The freedom gives you so much more control over your budget with no minimum spends or large prices per head which we loved. Hallington Mill is a venue that gets every detail right. From arriving on the Friday afternoon until Sunday lunch time we had time to welcome our guests staying over and a gorgeous dinner in the large Mill room then night before which we had catered for us so no one had to cook. You can be as hands on or off at Hallington, full service or a little more DIY. We went full service with catering and drinks all weekend. We didn’t have to do anything but enjoy ourselves, the team did everything we needed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We got married in June 2025. So many people have told us how amazing Hallingtion Mll is since the wedding and can't stop talking about the food and cocktails. We can’t thank you all enough for the amazing experience and gorgeous memories we now have with our loved ones. It’s quite simple, Elizabeth was simply amazing and the venue her and Rob have built speaks for itself. The venue and staff were a class act and the whole day was perfect from start to finish. We selected Magic Hat as our caterer and the food was simply phenomenal. Guests were trying to get into the kitchen to ask if they did recipe books! Not only is the venue beautiful, but the ones who are truly hands on are truly amazing. From the day we viewed the venue right through to our actual wedding we felt confident and happy that we would be able to have the wedding of our dreams. And that is exactly what happened. A special mention should go to Rob, Elizabeth, Jane, Stacey and Chef who all played a massive role in that happening. In all honesty I think we could have asked for a herd of unicorns in the Woodlad and one of them would have provided it! Nothing was impossible and the team were all so accommodating. ALL our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten & tried to get into the kitchen to ask for recipes. The planning meetings were informal and fun, yet captured everything we wanted efficiently. It was also nice to meet Elizabeth & Rob the owners who were lovely & so accommodation, it felt truly ours for the weekend. Hallington Mill we really cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us. We always hoped for a relaxed feel to our wedding and this is exactly what the team created. Our four legged friends were so welcome, as well as our human guests! They were super well planned ahead of our arrival. Our guests were very well taken care of. There really was nothing that they couldn’t make happen. The food, accommodation, grounds, ceremony set up, wedding breakfast table…everything was exactly as we hoped it would be and more. If we had to answer the question of would we change anything if we were to do it again - the answer is no - which is the strongest review we can provide for them! Our wedding day was then everything we hoped for from great food, amazing drinks and super music. All the staff were amazing. If you want a personal, schedule free but perfectly executed wedding then this is the place! We enjoyed three days and nights at Hallington Mill. We loved being able to arrive the day before, enjoy the close bridal party being all together and let the excitement build as we saw our dream wedding vision come to life. We knew it was the venue for us as soon as we pulled up in the car, Rob and Elizabeth were very accommodating and showed us round numerous times, as well as answering all of our questions over a cup of tea! It's a stunning venue and even on a not so warm day in September it was still an amazing day. We loved the fact that all weddings at Hallington are unique, as you have the flexibility to bring in companies such as caterers that suit you, and you can have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The view is also stunning so you get the most amazing photos! I'd highly recommend this venue to everyone, it's simply the best! P. S it's also dog friendly, our pooch had a whale of a time! We were looking for a wedding venue that was almost a blank canvas so that we could use whatever suppliers we wanted and set up whatever we needed to make our day unique to us and Hallington provided that and more! We decided after our wedding that we just had to come back and if we were ever lucky enough to have children that we'd host a naming day there too. True to our word 3 years later (almost to the day) we returned and hosted a naming day for our two beautiful children! It was so clear to see that Rob & Elizabeth have poured their heart and soul into the place and the changes they had made in those years were amazing and made visiting again even more special! We really love that any wedding or event here is so special and personal and you can really take time to make special memories with your loved ones. The place is so peaceful and private and your day is really YOUR day with no on lookers. That it is authentic, a former water mill lovingly converted that was sat unloved for so many years. Now filled with character and new love and laughter.

That we are genuinely proud of what is our home and business that we have built ourselves. That we are not a corporate wedding factory, that your wedding will be important to us and couples can return for picnics and holidays!
