Whether you are looking for an intimate service for 10 or a formal reception for over 200, Greenwoods, a fine listed manor building, will ensure that each wedding is planned to perfection. Greenwoods' offers attentive, yet unobtrusive service, making sure that your perfect day runs flawlessly. We offer bespoke packages so they can be tailor-made to fit your needs and Brides-to-be can also host their bridal showers with us in style! Greenwoods have facilities in the manor house for up to 55 people for a civil marriage or partnership ceremony and up to 46 people for a sit down meal. For a less formal reception or for an evening reception, 120 people standing can be catered for. For larger events our exclusive Garden Suite can be made available in the stunning gardens catering for over 200 seated guests and 300 evening guests. Enquire now to come and see for yourself! Greenwoods is the most picturesque, perfect secret spot in Essex - with all the charm of the English countryside (including a farm next door!) and easy to reach from major motorways. I cannot use enough words to describe how ridiculously brilliant they are. The Wedding team led by Christie are second to none. I am a highly organised person who likes planning and meticulous detail - and I could not fault them. They were prepared, kind, confident and so incredibly welcoming to all of our guests and ourselves...they made it the perfect day. The venue is a dream - you will love every inch. Having booked all the rooms that night, it was a wonderful feeling to have our favourite spot filled with friends and family the day after our wedding too...we didn't want to leave! Oh ...and talking about the food - I mean, we've had every type of meal there and have never had a bad meal. It's simply ridiculous how this place can be so perfect to be quite frank! It's true beauty is its true nature. For a place this stunning, you would think the price tag to be unbearable...but we found it to be fair and incredibly worthwhile. The setting and multiple photo opportunities around the venue was amazing and our pictures came out beautiful! It’s a day we will never forget - being surrounded by so much love and happiness. Our day ran perfectly and that’s solely down to the staff here - some of who were working all day - but even by the end of our night, nothing we asked for was too much trouble. The food was outstanding - we had many guests comment on how great it was especially seeing as they were catering for 100+ guests - it didn’t feel like a typical ‘large event’ meal but something you would expect in a restaurant. The venue is perfect, beautiful grounds and a stunning garden suite and there was no stress for my husband and I as everything was looked after, the staff clearly have a lot of experience in weddings as they were there and ready for the next part of the day before we were! Great rooms, more than pleasant staff (who bent backwards to accommodate the six of us plus two children under 5 ) the wedding, the wedding reception, the food and then the great breakfast in the morning I would highly recommend this place ! The whole day ran like clockwork and nothing was too much trouble for the staff team as we were gently directed throughout the day. My niece looked beautiful and happy as she walked up the aisle in the lovely gardens. We had a brilliant time and at the end of the day an extremely comfortable bed. The fish and chips canape is both quirky and delicious and always a crowd pleaser!

Call us old fashioned, but we love a bit of wedding cake!

Our state of the art Garden Suite has been built around the original 17th century brick work, creating a beautiful blend of something old and something new!
