When you plan your wedding at the Gloucester Robinswood Hotel, our dedicated, experienced wedding co-ordinator and their team will ensure that your special day runs smoothly. Here at the Hotel we have our beautiful Merlot Suite which is perfect for hosting your celebrations, it is fully equipped and licensed to hold civil ceremonies. The space can accommodate up to 180 evening guests for your reception. For a more intimate wedding we also have our Robinswood room which can accommodate up to 32 guests for a romantic and intimate wedding breakfast. For your wedding breakfast, our excellent team of chefs are experienced in created the most delectable dishes for a memorable dining experience. To help ease some of the stresses of planning a wedding, we can take care of a number of details for you, from finishing touches such as the linen and chair covers and a red carpet arrival to the essential wedding cake and entertainment. If required, we can also recommend other suppliers for photos, flowers and more.

The room we stayed in was massive and well equipped, the bed was comfy. The food was tasty and the bar had a great atmosphere. The spa itself was amazing, the pool was a good size and warm. There is a good size jacuzzi style pool and a sauna and steam room. It made for a really relaxing weekend.Me and my boyfriend went purely for a spa weekend, this is local to us. - SSally W01/07/2024Highly recommendable hotelHighly recommendable hotelI organised 2 luncheon events at the beginning of December. 66 for a group of veterans & 36 ladies the next day from our Aquarobics club. The venue was beautifully laid out for our Christmas event. We used the Merlot room for the Veterans & the Boardroom for the ladies lunch. The staff looked after us so well & the food was superb on both days. This is not the first time I've booked this hotel. Last year our Veterans lunch was attended by HRH Princess Anne & the hotel pulled out all the stops foI organised 2 luncheon events at the beginning of December. 66 for a group of veterans & 36 ladies the next day from our Aquarobics club. The room was decorated in a nice Christmas theme and we were made to feel very welcome. We had a gala dinner and the food was excellent, it was all very tasty and piping hot. We paid for an AI drinks and there was plenty to drink, we had bottles of wine on the table red, white and Rose which were all very nice and then there was buckets in the table with bottles of corona which my husband loved and when those bottles were empty we were given new ones, we didn’t go to the bar much at all. We've done a number of different weddings, that it is impossible to pick the best! Our team strive to make sure that every wedding we put on is the best that it can be!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Our number one wedding planning tip for couples is to make a plan and a to-do list. It's important to break down the tasks into manageable chunks and prioritise them. Writing down what needs to be done will help you stay organised and ensure that nothing gets overlooked. Not only that, but it will also provide a sense of accomplishment as you are able to tick off completed items!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of my favorite personal touches I've seen at a wedding was a couple who asked their guests to write down a song that was meaningful to them and to the couple. During the reception, they had a special playlist of all the songs their guests had requested, which really made everyone feel included and like they were part of the special day. It was a great way to get everyone up dancing and enjoying the evening!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The best photo spot at our venue is definitely the garden attached to our Merlot Suite! It's full of beautiful flowers and greenery, and the sunsets there are absolutely stunning.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Our most famous guest by far has to have been Princess Anne, who attended a dinner at our venue in 2022!
What’s your favourite canapé?
My favourite canapé has to be the Sticky Pork Belly Bites! They are incredible!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
My favourite midnight treat is definitely bacon rolls! They are so delicious and they're perfect for when you want something a little indulgent late at night.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It has to be our colour changing lights in the Merlot Suite! We can change them throughout the event to suit your colour scheme, or the vibe you want to be going for!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are so proud of our amazing team here at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel! They are the heart and soul of our business, and their passion for helping couples create their dream weddings is truly inspiring. We feel so fortunate to have such an incredible team working with us, and we know that without them, we wouldn’t be able to provide the same level of service and satisfaction to our couples. We are immensely proud of them and the work they do every day!
