Friars Court occupies a small but unique niche as a venue specialising purely and exclusively in hosting wedding ceremonies.
Enclosed by the remaining arms of a 16th century moat and surrounded by three acres of sweeping lawns, trees, borders and garden ‘rooms’, the current Cotswold stone manor house has stood, near the River Thames, for the best part of 400 years.
Friars Court is known most for its wide range of outside ceremony locations which allow prospective couples to make the most of a beautiful, tranquil setting. Within the grounds, we can now offer couples a choice of 9 different locations suited to different sized ceremonies ranging from the Swedish Summer House with its lavender hedges and apple trees to the romance of the moat-side Rose Arbour or the spreading shade of The Cherry Tree.
With over 500 weddings celebrated over the best part of 20 years, we’ve the knowledge, experience and contacts to help prospective couples through the process of creating their dream wedding.
Friars Court welcomes civil, celebrant-led, and faith-based ceremonies for up a maximum of 80 people.
Our £750 3 hour ceremony hire fee stays the same across the year and the days of the week. For wedding breakfast receptions in the Garden Room and Old Laundry room room hire is charged at the applicable hourly rate.
