From the moment you enter the sweeping tree-lined driveway to Eshott Hall you know you’ve happened upon something special. A perfectly proportioned Georgian jewel, clad in wisteria and set within its own manicured gardens – the quintessential and oh-so-photogenic English country house. Step inside and the romance continues with an original blend of modern design and elegant period features including a magnificent winding staircase, almost made for capturing the first picture-perfect glimpse of a bride. And the eleven luxurious appointed bedrooms complete with four poster beds, freestanding in-room baths and romantic views across the rolling lawns and ancient woodland are no less impressive. Alongside the bedrooms, there are grand, yet cosy reception rooms including a resplendent ballroom, which comfortably seats 90 guests for a reception and also makes for a very fine dance floor. Then there’s the restaurant, honoured with 2 AA rosettes for its pure passion for food which turns out sublime dishes using the best local ingredients. So, imagine having all of this to yourselves and your nearest and dearest as you tie the knot. Eshott Hall is hired for exclusive use, meaning you can truly unwind and make yourself at home in privacy. Share your excitement with your wedding party, from the eve of your special day to the restorative cups of tea curled up on a sofa and the relaxed morning-after breakfast. Our wedding packages cover a total of 60 day guests, each additional adult guest is charged at £230. We can host a total of 90 day guests and 120 evening guests.

- AAmy & David16/09/2024Just forgotten about Just forgotten aboutbooked to come view the venue and on arrival told nobody knew about the booking as the women we booked it with decided to take a holiday and didn’t put it in the main calendar for the venue. Somebody did eventually show us around but the venue is extremely worn and even the outside lig seating wasn’t up to safe standards (rotten). I still haven’t received any email of apology from the woman we booked with or a follow up email. Our journey with Eshott Hall began with an unexpected change in our wedding date only 3 months after putting down our deposit. We had to move our wedding forward by a year due to the venue's sudden closure, which was a stressful situation to navigate. Despite this unexpected change, we were still excited about the prospect of celebrating our union at this beautiful location. Our wedding weekend was a two-day celebration, with the Friday evening being the prelude to our main event on Saturday. We appreciate the efforts made by the staff in helping us set up and coordinate the final details during our run-through meeting. However, the hiccups began on the first evening. A handful of our guests reported issues, including not having towels in their rooms upon check-in, which was unexpected for a luxury hotel. On Friday night, welcome drinks were not circulated as planned, and when I inquired about them, the barman's rude and abrupt response was shocking and disappointing. This behaviour was observed by our guests and marred the evening. Thankfully, the manager quickly rectified the situation. Later, when dinner was brought out, it was discovered that the wine we had provided for our guests to drink with dinner was not being circulated, and the dietary requirements of a family member were completely overlooked, despite all details being agreed upon in advance (both one month before and immediately before the celebrations proceeded). The most distressing revelation was that the barman had been charging our guests for non-alcoholic drinks instead of putting them on our pre-paid bar tab and not offering the welcome drinks or the wine we had imported specially from France. He had instead been charging guests for the wine sold by Eshott Hall and not informing them of the wine that we had provided. The wine we had imported was meant to be provided to our guests free of charge, and the corkage fee was paid in advance. This error was especially disheartening since we wanted to ensure our guests were well taken care of as they had all travelled a long way to celebrate with us. On the brighter side, the Saturday of our wedding was a dream come true. The morning staff were very apologetic for the previous night's issues and ensured that the staff on duty were aware of the bar tab and wine arrangements. The day itself was splendid, with exceptional service and delicious food. The wedding breakfast in the beautifully dressed ballroom was exquisite, and the lamb roast in the evening was incredible. Special dietary requirements were handled well, and we received many compliments on our inclusive approach. Our wedding weekend, despite the Friday night hiccups, was filled with happiness and love, and we are grateful for the effort put in by the staff to make our wedding memorable. In summary, Eshott Hall provided a picturesque setting and memorable moments for all invited, but the issues on the Friday night left a lasting impact. We hope that these points are taken constructively to enhance the experience for future couples celebrating their special day at Eshott Hall. We can’t thank all of the staff enough for providing an exceptional service from the minute we booked our wedding with you in September 2017 until our actual wedding at the weekend. There are a few members of staff we’d like to mention specifically that had a part in helping the day run smoothly including Hannah who was there throughout all the organisation and planning, Heather and Tracey who helped finalise the last few details and of course the incredible Ricky who was a godsend throughout our big day. Ricky was of course supported by a huge team - front of house staff, housekeeping staff and kitchen staff and therefore anybody who worked throughout Saturday 3rd August we’d like to say a massive thank you! Everything was perfect! The venue itself is exquisite and the grounds are simply stunning! We’ve had endless comments about the quality of the food that was served throughout the weekend and the professionalism of the waiting staff. We’ve attached a few photos from guests which we feel show off what an amazing place Eshott Hall is and we just know when we get the professional ones they’ll been beautiful too.
