Dodmoor House is an award winning wedding venue in Northamptonshire, with gorgeous Grade II listed barns as the perfect setting for your special day. The venue is exclusively yours for the day and evening, with four acres of landscaped grounds and a rustic courtyard area for you and your guests to enjoy. We are a family-run wedding venue, and place huge emphasis on giving the best levels of friendly and professional customer service possible. Our goal is for each of our couples to feel like they are the only people in the world getting married. We welcome all kinds of ideas for your wedding, and love to help your dreams become a reality! Dodmoor is fully licenced to hold civil ceremonies in rustic and romantic surroundings, including a number of outdoor locations around our beautiful grounds. We can host up to 96 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 180 for the evening celebrations. We offer the choice of no-corkage daytime drinks or our unlimited drinks package, and while we have an extensive list of local and recommended suppliers, you are welcome to bring in your own external suppliers if preferred. We have been announced as the "Best Barn Venue" in the Hitched UK Wedding Awards and and we were a National Finalist in the Guides for Brides 2020 Customer Satisfaction Awards, British Wedding Awards and National Awards! Our past achievements include winning the Wedding Industry Awards "Wedding Event Team 2019", "Best Barn Venue" in the 2017 UK Wedding Awards where our couples praised us for our high levels of customer service and attention to detail, and the "National Countryside Venue" in both 2013 and 2016. Congratulations on your engagement! We are Mark and Louise, who set up Dodmoor House as a wedding venue back in 2006, after a painstaking restoration of the Grade II listed barns next to our family home. We have since hosted more than 1,000 weddings, with the aim to make sure that every couple's day is entirely unique. There is so much that is included within our venue hire... You will receive guidance from your own wedding coordinator prior to your big day and on the day and evening itself. Regular invites to open evenings- free to attend. Lots of decorations- including tables, chairs, card boxes, cake stands, easels and wooden logs (we could go on). An overnight stay in our on site honeymoon suite, including breakfast the next morning- whilst we have fantastic deals for guest accommodation at 2 local hotels! The accommodation deal also includes transport for your guests booked and paid for by us!

I cannot thank EVERYONE enough at Dodmoor House for making our day the most perfect day I could have ever imagined! I had my heart set on this venue from the beginning and ended up being the only one we looked at, booked it soon after and had any expectations exceeded by the amazing team here. I could write a short story on every single little detail and how perfect it all was, you’ll just have to book and find out! Never wanted for anything, all the staff were so attentive and considerate of me, my husband and our guests during the day and evening. Kara was our coordinator and she did everything in her power to make sure I did not stress a single bit and the day genuinely was perfect, all thank you to Dodmoor. Unforgettable venue with a unforgettable teamUnforgettable venue with a unforgettable team
We couldn’t have asked for a more dreamy experience start to finish. We where assigned Eleanor as our wedding coordinator and she just absolutely understood the vibe we where going for and made the whole planning process very smooth giving great advice and recommendations, she gave us lots of options to choose from for ways she thought our day would work best which was SO helpful. We didn’t have the first clue on where to start planning a wedding as I had never actually even been to one so planning my own was definitely a big task but Eleanor’s help made it a breeze. The day before our wedding we dropped off our decorations and Eleanor and team did a gorgeous job decorating and were super communicative and reassuring throughout the day before so we had absolutely no worries the evening before. On the day the venue where super accommodating with letting us arrive slightly earlier than planned which meant we got to have the best morning in the gorgeous bridal suite which is HUGE and perfect for getting ready, being able to close all the curtains as guests arrive so no one can see you but you can have a cheeky peak at everyone arriving is a surreal feeling. We brought our pups along to the ceremony and the team were all super accommodating and welcoming of them too. The team on the day were incredible we chose to go for the drinks package which made it so easy and we couldn’t believe the quality of the drinks being served and our guests (and us! ) especially loved the martini bar The venue its self is cosy, intimate and immaculately clean. There is so much attention to detail such as the heaters outside in the evening which meant despite having a March wedding so much of our day was actually outside. We cannot recommend this venue enough and we cannot thank Eleanor and her team enough for how special they made all day. They are truly pro at what they do. They truely care about your day and make you feel like you’re the only wedding they have despite the fact they have so many it really is a personal and tailored experience. We had the most perfect day and it was better than we could have ever imagined. Everything went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff at Dodmoor. Our wedding coordinator Kara was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We had so much fun coming up with ideas together for the day and we wish we could do it all over again! We will remember this day for the rest of our lives and we only hope we get invited to a Dodmoor wedding in the future to relive our beautiful day. We had the most perfect day and it was better than we could have ever imagined. Everything went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff at Dodmoor. The day went smoothly as possible… the entire planning and preparation was so smooth that it took away any stress and worries. They litterally did all the hard work and communicating with each other, while we did our bit. They all made sure that our day went as perfectly as it could so that we could sit back and enjoy our big day. We used a few suppliers that Dodmoore recommended because they all seemed great and lovely, but also we fell in love with everything as well. Such a lovely and beautiful venue and all members who helped on there day were a delight. We couldn’t be more happy and grateful that they put us first, made sure we were ok and put all of their hearts and souls into the place and day to make sure that everything went smoothly.The day went smoothly as possible… the entire planning and preparation was so smooth that it took away any stress and worries. We cannot put into words how grateful we are for our planner Beth-rai and the team at Dodmoor. From our first planning meeting we were in safe hands and no question went unanswered. I can’t recommend this venue enough. Everything was incredible from start to finish. From the moment we first viewed the venue we have received such a high level of service. No ask was too big, no question too silly, the response and support - amazing. Our coordinator Chloe- words can’t describe how thankful we are of her. I’ve kept saying that planning a wedding was strange because you get no training in it growing up so then having to plan this big life event was scary, but having her there made it all the more manageable. On the day she, along with all the staff at dodmoor, made sure the day ran smoothly, stayed calm in the wedding chaos, and ensured our day was perfect. Dodmoor was the perfect place for our wedding, such a cozy, warm venue that suited our smaller guest numbers perfectly (50 day/60 evening). Eleanor and all the staff were extremely easy to work with, professional and help to put our mind at ease before the day along with making the entire wedding itself run unbelievably smoothly. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

It's absolutely impossible to say! We've had so many weddings and each one has their own best parts! We do remember having a ball when a mariachi band came in and played to everyone during dinner, and we threw sombreros to guests from the mezzanine balcony! A petting zoo with the cutest animals ever came and we cuddled rabbits, lambs and baby goats. An English Bride who grew up locally married an American groom, who's family and friends flew across the pond for the big day and were all transported to Dodmoor on a double decker London bus! Every week we experience another "Best Day Ever"!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

If someone is willing to help you, take their help! It's so amazing to have people who want to contribute towards your day whether that's helping to make favours, driving your Nan to the venue or doing a reading in the ceremony. Anything that helps take a little stress away from planning really has a huge effect!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our favourite parts of seeing lots of weddings is seeing the personal touches our couples do to put their stamp on Dodmoor House! We love personal photos, it's always lovely to see pictures of our couples throughout the years they have been together.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Being next door to the Grand Union Canal is a treat, we are right next to a lovely bridge which provides such beautiful photos.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Being so close to Northampton, we've had a Saints Rugby player get married here, a few guests from the Made in Chelsea cast and Emily Atack! (A roady for Coldplay and One Direction also got hitched at Dodmoor, but sadly Chris Martin and Harry Styles didn't make the guest list...). Emily Atack from the Inbetweeners also attended, as a guest!

What’s your favourite canapé?

We are partial to a mini Yorkshire pudding!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cake - and not just at midnight! We are known for having a constant sweet treat supply in the office!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We might be biased, but there are so many beautiful features at Dodmoor. The most unique however might be the "secret garden" gate, which is located by the walled garden area of our main lawn. Absolutely gorgeous for romantic couple portraits.
