The Mill House is set within the stunning Berkshire countryside and offers beautifully landscaped gardens, where every season shows off something new. The River Loddon runs alongside the garden giving a beautiful backdrop to your photos. The front of the house boasts a traditional Georgian frontage with tall bay windows and stunning flowers beds. After careful restoration to its former Georgian glory, the interior of The Mill House boasts high ceilings, original wood flooring in the bar and large spacious reception rooms, as well as twelve individually decorated bedrooms. The Mill House Hotel is family run and has been hosting weddings since 1994. We offer various reception rooms for both your wedding ceremony and reception, intimate weddings within the house or larger wedding in our riverside marquee which is available all year round. The Hotel has protected the heritage and has blended the old with the new, to create a beautiful setting. We can host your wedding ceremony in all areas of the hotel, either in the house for up to 90 guests, in our marquee for 120 guests or in our Cedar Pavilion located in the wonderful gardens for 120 guests. We can offer exclusive use of the venue for you to celebrate your special day with friends and family, with exceptional service in a friendly and unobtrusive manner.

A day we will never forget A day we will never forget
We had our wedding at The Mill House on a beautiful day, 6th September, and chose to have the ceremony outside. From the very beginning, the support throughout the planning process was incredible—so helpful, reassuring, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We truly felt special and completely looked after on the day itself. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The gardens and the marquee created the perfect setting for our wedding, and it all came together even better than we could have imagined. Our DJ was brilliant too, keeping the dancefloor full all night and adding to the amazing atmosphere. The experience didn’t end there—breakfast the next morning was wonderful. The staff continued the special treatment, and the full English was cooked to perfection. It was a day we will never, ever forget. We had toured many venues before stumbling across this little gem and we absolutely fell in love with the grounds. They’ve been in the business for so long we knew we’d be in safe hands. What we didn’t expect was how special they made us feel, we received such a personalised experience and were blown away by how tailored it was to our needs. They were super reasonably priced, but we were treated like royalty every step of the way. Our guests were taken care of in the same manor and didn’t have a bad word to say about anything! Couldn’t recommend highly enough for a day to remember. Events for you did a spectacular job of bringing our vision to life too. I'm not sure we can put into words quite how amazing The Mill House was. As soon as we walked through the door at the Wedding Showcase we knew immediately this was where we wanted to get married. The hotel and marquee and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. From that day on everything was made so easy. The staff are a credit to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble, questions got answered quickly and the day went without a hitch. So many of our guests have said what a beautiful venue it was and a fabulous day. I cannot recommend The Mill House enough, I can promise you will not be disappointed.I'm not sure we can put into words quite how amazing The Mill House was. We got married at The Mill House Hotel last Thursday, and everything was absolutely perfect, better than what we could have imagined. Everything went smoothly, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the beautiful location and the delicious food. The garden is simply stunning and created the perfect backdrop for our day. From the very first time we visited, we knew The Mill House was the right place for our wedding. The peaceful atmosphere we felt on that first visit was exactly what we experienced on our special day. The whole team was incredibly welcoming and friendly. A heartfelt thank you to Charlotte, Mark, Kim, Emma, Sophie, and Chris for all your support in organising our wedding. You made every step of the process so easy and enjoyable, we truly felt in safe hands. We wanted a day which was perfect and honestly the Mill House exceeded our wishes. They went above and beyond to give my husband and I a day to remember. The staff were kind, caring and couldn’t do enough for us. From the moment we booked communication was clear and every meeting was about ensuring our vision, from the moment I arrived the day before the wedding to the day after, nothing was too much. The ceremony and music was seamless. They had my phone with a playlist that they then played during the ceremony. They ensured we were fed, we had drinks they looked after us, and our guests. Honestly if we could afford to we would do it again tomorrow. It is massively reasonably priced. The food was absolutely to die for! If possible even better than the taster we had, had. We got married NYE at the Mill House Hotel in Swollowfield. With exclusive use of the beautiful grounds, house and marquee it was the perfect choice for us. The staff there were very efficient leading up our wedding taking care of our needs and wants. On the day nothing was too much trouble! They had a positive calming attitude and everything went well. The food was just as amazing as the service. We got stunning photos outside in the pavilion, by the lake, in the fields as well as inside the house and marquee. We loved every moment of our day and so did all our guests. Breakfast in the morning was well received by all our guests who stayed with us at the venue. From start to finish, the team at The Mill House exceeded every expectation, making the entire process seamless. I honestly wish we could relive the day all over again! From the initial planning meetings to the menu tasting and the flawless coordination, their attention to detail was nothing short of extraordinary. We were fortunate enough to set up the marquee the day before, and The Mill House took care of coordinating with all the vendors. No request was ever too much—everyone was incredibly accommodating. The food was absolutely spectacular, with guests still raving about it weeks after the event! The accommodation and breakfast were equally impressive, rounding off an unforgettable experience. Thanks to The Mill House, our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. If you're planning a wedding, look no further! This venue and the owners Kim and Marc went out of their way to make sure our wedding was perfect. The whole team were incredible and our day could not have been better. My daughter and her husband Dave have just celebrated their wedding at The Mill House. It is a perfect venue. The hotel itself is lovely, beautiful accommodation, pretty garden and a lovely marquee. The food was tasty and very well presented. Nothing was too much trouble. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. Mark is a real star and was our Master of Ceremonies, keeping everything and everyone organised. I would recommend this venue, you really can't go wrong!
