Dunwell Farm

My wife and I were guests at a wedding at Dunwell farm. The venue was wonderful and it generated such a warm and personal atmosphere. What really caught our eye though was how much effort Libby and Peter put in to making this such a personal and wonderful day for the bride and groom. They worked so hard to make the personal touches really count and made the whole day go smoothly for everyone!

Thanks again, all the feedback we've had is that it was the best wedding people have been to. It was such a good day and we wish we could do it every weekend. Thank you so much. Big love to you all xx

From the first moment we saw Dunwell Farm and met Libby and Pete we knew this was the place for our wedding. It is just so beautiful and picturesque and the perfect setting for a wedding. Libby was always so friendly and helpful in our planning journey and helped take away all the stress. They were extremely professional and on the day everything went perfectly. The barn was transformed from a lambing shed to a wonderful place for our ceremony, then a super quick change for the wedding breakfast and then again for the evening entertainment. Whilst these changes were going on we had the use of the top field where we served cream teas in the Marquee, had live music and they also provided a beer tent. They were only too happy to accommodate us having Ivor Dewdney Pasties, Cream Teas and a Hog Roast on the day and it all went without a hitch. I (The Groom) stayed in the fantastic Bell tent the night before the wedding and it was so comfy and made up so well. Nothing was forgotten. They even had a shower block with toilets and kitchen facilities for guests that are camping. Our day was so special and perfect and this is due to the hard work of Libby, Pete and their team of fabulous staff. We honestly cannot speak highly enough about them and would recommend a wedding at Dunwell Farm to everyone. Like I say, it was just perfect.

Would certainly recommend Dunwell if you are looking for somewhere with a relaxed country feel with stunning views. Libby and Pete offered plenty of help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself to make everything went smoothly. The field with marquee was the perfect set up for a drinks reception and the barn was an ideal blank canvas to create our own party atmosphere in the evening! There is also a lovely campsite with toilet and shower block which made the wedding feel like a proper holiday - a beautiful place to hang out with family and friends!

As a wedding photographer, Dunwell Farm will always be my favourite Devon wedding venue. With stunning Devon views, the beautiful barn, the top marque, the well kept garden and even a campsite for guests, it really has everything and more. I always feel spoilt for choice for photo locations for my couples. It's humble, gloriously green and Pete and Libby always work so hard to ensure couples have the best day. Dunwell Farm is a Devon wedding dream.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Dunwell Farm on more than one occasion (I get very excited when an invite says Dunwell) each wedding has been different and truly special in their own way. The Barn has been transformed each time, different colour themes, flowers, beautiful dangly things from the beams, each table layout different enabling each couple to really make this venue their own. The Marquee spot is just breathtaking. Stunning views over the iconic Dartmoor, even on rainy days this has been a picturesque talking point. The best of it all…. You can stay in the beautiful bell tents and wake up the next morning with all your friends and family and reminisce and laugh about the day before. The loo and kitchen facilities are top notch too! The team at Dunwell Farm are nothing less than perfect. Anything you need from finding the loos to needing last minute pins to alter dresses. You name it we’ve asked for it and they’ve always had it! Being run on a family farm means the team really feels like a family. Would highly recommend for a wedding or even party venue!

Dunwell farm was my dream wedding venue. It’s presented so beautifully, in an amazing setting. Libby and Pete are the most helpful people and a joy to have as part of our special day!

Getting married at Dunwell was without a doubt the best decision we made in the process of wedding planning.
