For over a decade, Dunwell Farm has helped transform couples’ wedding visions into reality.
Creating bespoke events and maintain a working farm is the heart of this venue. It’s truly unique wedding barn hosts lambing sheep in the winter and spectacular celebrations in the summer - each element of a wedding here has been curated to give guests the best countryside experience. From photo ops in-front of the sprawling views of Dartmoor, to sleeping in cosy luxury bell tents; each couple and their loved ones can truly relax in nature, knowing their special day is in the safe hands of an experienced events team.
Included in the hire price of Dunwell Farm:
4 days/3 nights exclusive hire of the wedding venue
3-sided wooden barn (seats up to 150 seated, 200 standing),
Marquee field (drinks tent included, with space for external company marquees if required)
Campsite (30 pitches) incl toilet and shower block
Choice of 3 licensed ceremony areas (barn, marquee site and campsite)
Licensed bar and entertainment license on wedding day until 00:30
Catering room with washing up facilities and power
Straw bales, fabric bale covers and trestle tables to seat up to 150
Fridge trailer
Glassware (water, wine, champagne glasses and water jugs)
No corkage charged (alcohol permitted to be brought by couple: 4 x alcoholic drinks/adult guest over the course of the wedding day)

Congratulations on your engagement - you must be so excited to start planning your wedding! If a chilled, outdoorsy, rustic wedding is the vibe you're after, we'd love to meet up and show you our venue.
Our wedding barn is in agricultural use during the winter months so you'll need wellies and imagination if you visit us then - you might even see a lamb being born!

All our guests have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and are still talking about it and Dunwell a year later - if we could afford it think they’d like it to be an annual event! Libby was fantastic and communicated every step of the wedding with us and was there on the day to ensure the best day ever. We also used the campsite for the weekend for a total festival feel with all our friend and family. The Barn has been transformed each time, different colour themes, flowers, beautiful dangly things from the beams, each table layout different enabling each couple to really make this venue their own. The Marquee spot is just breathtaking. Stunning views over the iconic Dartmoor, even on rainy days this has been a picturesque talking point. The best of it all…. You can stay in the beautiful bell tents and wake up the next morning with all your friends and family and reminisce and laugh about the day before. The loo and kitchen facilities are top notch too! The team at Dunwell Farm are nothing less than perfect. Anything you need from finding the loos to needing last minute pins to alter dresses. You name it we’ve asked for it and they’ve always had it! Being run on a family farm means the team really feels like a family. It was a rustic barn made beautiful with bunting and fairy lights. If you love nature and the outdoors, this venue is ideal. Stunning countryside views. What’s not to like! Libby and Pete offered plenty of help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself to make everything went smoothly. The field with marquee was the perfect set up for a drinks reception and the barn was an ideal blank canvas to create our own party atmosphere in the evening! There is also a lovely campsite with toilet and shower block which made the wedding feel like a proper holiday - a beautiful place to hang out with family and friends!Would certainly recommend Dunwell if you are looking for somewhere with a relaxed country feel with stunning views. The Johns’ will go above and beyond to make your day run smoothly- very practical people with an eye for detail. Couldn’t ask for more! With stunning Devon views, the beautiful barn, the top marque, the well kept garden and even a campsite for guests, it really has everything and more. I always feel spoilt for choice for photo locations for my couples. It's humble, gloriously green and Pete and Libby always work so hard to ensure couples have the best day.
