A luxury Grade II Listed venue with beautiful licensed ceremony and reception rooms. We offer bespoke packages to ensure that your special day is as unique as you. Dunston Hall is nestled amongst acres of grounds on the edge of the Peak District, creating the perfect backdrop for your wedding day. We listen to your vision and work our magic to bring your dream to life.
Unlike many other venues, when you book your wedding with us at Dunston Hall, you have exclusive use from noon until midnight on your special day. Dunston Hall and our stunning grounds has something special to give in every season. Summer glow or winter glitz? Whatever the weather or season, our venue creates a splendid setting for your ideal wedding day. Midweek or a weekend – we are open all year apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day – giving you the flexibility to choose your perfect date.
The wedding and events team here at Dunston Hall will be with you every step of the way. From your first enquiry, to a viewing, planning meetings and up to the big day itself. We strive to provide the best service possible throughout the your entire journey, and we truly love the work that we do which is reflected in our glowing reviews.
We are fully licenced for civil ceremonies performed by the local registrars, or couples can personalise their ceremony by using a celebrant. You may also choose to get married at one of the many lovely local churches and hold your reception at Dunston Hall Estate.
Our award winning Dunston Hall Chefs have a real passion for food, and they have created a range of delicious menus to choose from. Whether you opt for a traditional 3 course meal or something more relaxed, it will be freshly prepared in our kitchen with love.
Dunston Hall has 10 luxurious en-suite bedrooms that can sleep up to 23 guests, so why not have your nearest and dearest close by to enjoy every second of your special day and book an overnight stay.

The venue it's self was absolutely amazing so was the food and all the rooms couldn't have asked for anything better than this venue at all.100% advise anyone to use this place as there venue. Every guest who stayed in the rooms, slept 'happy'! They did not want to leave! The Bridal Suite was very elegant. The attentiveness provided by the staff is amazing. - AAlex + Jemma15/07/2024Dream wedding venueDream wedding venueI’m not quite sure where to start with this review, but it’s an absolute dream wedding venue with the best staff you could imagine Myself and Jemma got married on the 6th of July which was a Saturday, we arrived to Dunston on Friday midday and left on Monday morning. Dunston has 10 bedrooms which sleeps around 25 people, we filled it with close family and friends, if this works for you and your family I would really recommend doing this We’d booked Dunston roughly two years before our wedding date, Anna and Macauley were absolutely brilliant, they are a credit to Dunston. Everything was so easy and they are so knowledgable, we had regular meetings with them to check in and discuss how everything was going on both sides We also had a taster session for the food for our wedding, so you choose three starters, three mains and three deserts that you would like for your wedding, you then go to Dunston to try these, everything is plated as it would be served at your wedding. Owen was brilliant for this taster session, a very polite man with great service skills and the knowledge to go with it. The food is AMAZING, every person from the wedding said it’s the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The chef (apologies, can’t remember his name) really is as good as you can get and does an amazing job, the taster session was exactly as the food came out on the wedding, we had 90 guests and to keep quality high for that many people is unbelievable We are local to the area and remember Dunston being up for sale around 2019 and out of interest we looked just to see what the house was like, what the owners of Dunston have done since buying it is unbelievable, the house is literally stunning, every single room in the house is perfect and every bedroom has an en-suite, I dread to think how much has been spent renovating the property On the wedding day, the staff make you feel at ease, everything seems effortless and they have a close bond with suppliers because of how they treat them, you really can tell the integrity that runs throughout Dunston. The venue is perfect, we opted for an outside wedding and luckily the weather held out for us, it’s made for some very special pictures, we had a small stage created with chairs in a semi circle, again if this is possible for you I’d really try to create something like that. The second plan was the ceremony room, which would have also been a very intimate special place to hold a wedding. On Sunday, we invited everyone back for a bbq, the weather was great and we ordered a Morrisons delivery to Dunston and sourced meat from a local supplier and we cooked on the bbq’s supplied by Dunston. This was an amazing day, the weather was great and the grounds are beautiful, it was a really nice relaxed day and great to speak to family and friends slightly more relaxed than the previous day Every single staff member at Dunston is amazing, I can’t remember everyone’s names but honestly they provide the best service I have ever received. I hope the owners see this review and you are lucky to have such great, hard working staff If you’re thinking about getting married here, it will be the best decision you’ve ever made. Thanks again and we will be back for your special food nights and my father in law has already booked for a future birthday party! Our wedding weekend was everything we had dreamed of and more. We stayed at the venue the night before and had an incredible pre-wedding party with Paella cooked and served by the venue, followed by a beautifully displayed continental breakfast on our wedding morning, and a cooked breakfast the morning after. The food throughout the weekend was absolute perfection and we received so many compliments on the quality of the food. Dunston catered for many different allergies and dietary requirements without any issue. The whole venue, including the rooms in house were of an incredible high standard and looked beautiful. Our guests were blown away (as were we!). Anna was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process from our initial enquiry to days after our wedding! We cannot thank Anna enough. Macauley, Owen and the team over the entire weekend were so efficient and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, which made the weekend run so smoothly. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more and we had the best day of our lives. We wish we could do it all over again!! Thank you so much Dunston Hall!Where do we even begin! The venue is beautiful and very reasonably priced compared to places that offer a similar experience. The Food is wonderful. Staff are incredible! They really made the whole experience. Oh And the bedding was to die for (it was the talk of breakfast the next morning), never had such a good nice sleep before! We had our wedding here on the 29th December 2023 and it was simply perfect. The venue is beautiful and very reasonably priced compared to places that offer a similar experience. The Food is wonderful. Staff are incredible! They really made the whole experience. Oh And the bedding was to die for (it was the talk of breakfast the next morning), never had such a good nice sleep before!

From the minute we first arrived through the gates, Dunston Hall was the only place that we both just instantly loved when we were searching for our venue. It is truly a hidden gem and only 5 minutes from where we live, there really is nowhere else like it in the area. As our wedding was the first to be held in The Stables, we didn’t know what the completed space would look, even with under a month to go until our wedding date! However, having seen how beautifully the hall and ceremony room had been renovated, we were confident that The Stables would be finished to a high standard with a beautiful finish. Dunston Hall really did think about every little detail. The gardens are beautiful too! If only we weren't having too much fun that we could've got all the photos we had planned, as the photo spot opportunities are endless! Our guests commented on how amazing the venue was, noting the fact that there were so many areas, all exclusive to the one wedding. We knew we wanted to get married at Dunston Hall from our first visit, but the fact that this is an exclusive venue just added to that. We were able to have our own little wedding bubble for the whole weekend, with no worries of wedding crashers from other events taking place. The food was simply incredible and many of our guests have continued telling us so! Every meal we had from Friday to breakfast on Sunday was delicious. Our stay over the entire weekend was a dream. Each bedroom and ensuite is immaculate and they are all have their own unique design, it’s a shame you can’t sleep in them all at once! The venue really does speak for itself, but the staff are what make it all work. Due to changes in management over the 2 years, we didn’t have the smoothest of wedding planning journeys, but the potential of the venue kept us going. In the end, Claire made sure we got what we were promised. We cannot thank Mark, Macauley, Claire, Anna and the rest of the team enough for making our wedding weekend what it was. They went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was perfect- and it really was. Mark and Macauley, you made the last part of our wedding planning process as exciting as it should be, and kept us up to date with changes, always making sure that we were happy with the plans. Shout out to the lovely Georgie too, who sang during our wedding breakfast (amazing voice) and couldn’t do enough for us! Come Sunday afternoon when we were leaving the estate, we couldn't believe that it was all over and it was just as hard saying goodbye to the team as it was the venue.
