We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful venue to spend our wedding day at. The staff were so helpful, approachable and professional. Words are not enough to describe our appreciation. Our day could not have been more perfect. Thank you Dunston Hall and all the team.

I’m not quite sure where to start with this review, but it’s an absolute dream wedding venue with the best staff you could imagine Myself and Jemma got married on the 6th of July which was a Saturday, we arrived to Dunston on Friday midday and left on Monday morning. Dunston has 10 bedrooms which sleeps around 25 people, we filled it with close family and friends, if this works for you and your family I would really recommend doing this We’d booked Dunston roughly two years before our wedding date, Anna and Macauley were absolutely brilliant, they are a credit to Dunston. Everything was so easy and they are so knowledgable, we had regular meetings with them to check in and discuss how everything was going on both sides We also had a taster session for the food for our wedding, so you choose three starters, three mains and three deserts that you would like for your wedding, you then go to Dunston to try these, everything is plated as it would be served at your wedding. Owen was brilliant for this taster session, a very polite man with great service skills and the knowledge to go with it. The food is AMAZING, every person from the wedding said it’s the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The chef (apologies, can’t remember his name) really is as good as you can get and does an amazing job, the taster session was exactly as the food came out on the wedding, we had 90 guests and to keep quality high for that many people is unbelievable We are local to the area and remember Dunston being up for sale around 2019 and out of interest we looked just to see what the house was like, what the owners of Dunston have done since buying it is unbelievable, the house is literally stunning, every single room in the house is perfect and every bedroom has an en-suite, I dread to think how much has been spent renovating the property On the wedding day, the staff make you feel at ease, everything seems effortless and they have a close bond with suppliers because of how they treat them, you really can tell the integrity that runs throughout Dunston. The venue is perfect, we opted for an outside wedding and luckily the weather held out for us, it’s made for some very special pictures, we had a small stage created with chairs in a semi circle, again if this is possible for you I’d really try to create something like that. The second plan was the ceremony room, which would have also been a very intimate special place to hold a wedding. On Sunday, we invited everyone back for a bbq, the weather was great and we ordered a Morrisons delivery to Dunston and sourced meat from a local supplier and we cooked on the bbq’s supplied by Dunston. This was an amazing day, the weather was great and the grounds are beautiful, it was a really nice relaxed day and great to speak to family and friends slightly more relaxed than the previous day Every single staff member at Dunston is amazing, I can’t remember everyone’s names but honestly they provide the best service I have ever received. I hope the owners see this review and you are lucky to have such great, hard working staff If you’re thinking about getting married here, it will be the best decision you’ve ever made. Thanks again and we will be back for your special food nights and my father in law has already booked for a future birthday party!

Where do we even begin! We cannot recommend Dunston Hall and the staff enough! Our wedding weekend was everything we had dreamed of and more. We stayed at the venue the night before and had an incredible pre-wedding party with Paella cooked and served by the venue, followed by a beautifully displayed continental breakfast on our wedding morning, and a cooked breakfast the morning after. The food throughout the weekend was absolute perfection and we received so many compliments on the quality of the food. Dunston catered for many different allergies and dietary requirements without any issue. The whole venue, including the rooms in house were of an incredible high standard and looked beautiful. Our guests were blown away (as were we!). Anna was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process from our initial enquiry to days after our wedding! We cannot thank Anna enough. Macauley, Owen and the team over the entire weekend were so efficient and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, which made the weekend run so smoothly. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more and we had the best day of our lives. We wish we could do it all over again!! Thank you so much Dunston Hall!

We had our wedding here on the 29th December 2023 and it was simply perfect. The venue is beautiful and very reasonably priced compared to places that offer a similar experience. The Food is wonderful. Staff are incredible! They really made the whole experience. Oh And the bedding was to die for (it was the talk of breakfast the next morning), never had such a good nice sleep before!

We had our silver wedding anniversary here and it was magical. The Hall is amazing and the staff couldnt be more helpful. The best venue in Chesterfield by far

An absolutely magical day! On 27/08/23, I got married at Dunston Hall and it was just fantastic. When I first went to look around, I fell in love with the place - it really is stunning. The ceremony room is breathtaking and was further enhanced by ‘Lillies Bespoke Faux Flowers’. I guarantee you will not fail to fall in love with it. The Stable room which held the wedding breakfast is amazing, just so elegant and classy. The bedrooms are again just beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable, the duvets and towels just so soft and fluffy. They really have thought of everything to ensure you have a perfect stay. A huge thank you to all the staff who made my day one I will never forget. Special thanks to Mark - as my day got closer, I was getting more nervous about how it would be. You were constantly reassuring me - you said it would be as perfect as it could be, and you were right. It was just perfect. Macauley - from first meeting you, you were warm, welcoming and so very helpful. You even went as far as a practice walk down the aisle :) and making sure my trail on my dress was perfect. Thank you! Anna - for your communication throughout, the emails too and fro to again ensure my day was all I wanted. Jordon - the food was spot on. Looked delicious and the taste matched. All the guests were full of compliments about the food. Thank you! Dunston Hall is a place you must go and visit when considering venues. I promise you will not be disappointed. I just wish I could do it all over again!

From the moment we had our first viewing at Dunston Hall only a couple of months ago, we were absolutely blown away… the hall itself is absolutely breathtaking, the grounds are stunning, the garden ceremony room is absolutely beautiful and the newly refurbished stables is an incredible space! We were welcomed by Macaulay, Claire and Anna, who were truly amazing ladies! Nothing was too much trouble, they understood our vision and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Mark was also absolutely fantastic, we met Mark on the day and he became a familiar friendly face for our family and friends throughout the day, helping make sure our day was perfect! So many of our guests commented on how lovely the staff are, words really don’t do them justice! The hardest part was actually saying goodbye to the members of staff, they became a huge part of our journey and our experience would not have been the same without them. We were also so impressed with food, and received amazing feedback from our guests regarding the wedding breakfast and evening BBQ. The portion sizes were so generous, they even offered more bread for the soup, more gravy for the roast beef, they really looked after each and every one of us and catered for dietary requirements incredibly well too! From start to finish, Dunston Hall was perfect, I am so pleased I came across them, they really did create the most memorable day for us and our family. Thank you SO much, from the bottom of our hearts we are truly so grateful for you all ❤️

Wow, we really could not have imagined a better place to get married. From our first viewing over 2 years ago, each time that we visited Dunston Hall, we fell more in love with the venue and couldn’t get over how stunning the Hall and its grounds are. From the minute we first arrived through the gates, Dunston Hall was the only place that we both just instantly loved when we were searching for our venue. It is truly a hidden gem and only 5 minutes from where we live, there really is nowhere else like it in the area. As our wedding was the first to be held in The Stables, we didn’t know what the completed space would look, even with under a month to go until our wedding date! However, having seen how beautifully the hall and ceremony room had been renovated, we were confident that The Stables would be finished to a high standard with a beautiful finish. Dunston Hall really did think about every little detail. The gardens are beautiful too! If only we weren't having too much fun that we could've got all the photos we had planned, as the photo spot opportunities are endless! Our guests commented on how amazing the venue was, noting the fact that there were so many areas, all exclusive to the one wedding. We knew we wanted to get married at Dunston Hall from our first visit, but the fact that this is an exclusive venue just added to that. We were able to have our own little wedding bubble for the whole weekend, with no worries of wedding crashers from other events taking place. The food was simply incredible and many of our guests have continued telling us so! Every meal we had from Friday to breakfast on Sunday was delicious. Our stay over the entire weekend was a dream. Each bedroom and ensuite is immaculate and they are all have their own unique design, it’s a shame you can’t sleep in them all at once! The venue really does speak for itself, but the staff are what make it all work. Due to changes in management over the 2 years, we didn’t have the smoothest of wedding planning journeys, but the potential of the venue kept us going. In the end, Claire made sure we got what we were promised. We cannot thank Mark, Macauley, Claire, Anna and the rest of the team enough for making our wedding weekend what it was. They went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was perfect- and it really was. Mark and Macauley, you made the last part of our wedding planning process as exciting as it should be, and kept us up to date with changes, always making sure that we were happy with the plans. Shout out to the lovely Georgie too, who sang during our wedding breakfast (amazing voice) and couldn’t do enough for us! Come Sunday afternoon when we were leaving the estate, we couldn't believe that it was all over and it was just as hard saying goodbye to the team as it was the venue. They really are an absolute dream team! I could go on about how wonderful this place is, but it’s starting to make me feel sad that we won’t be getting married here again. The memories of the best wedding weekend will have to do! Thank you so much Dunston Hall for making our dream wedding become our reality!

If you are looking for a venue to celebrate your special occasion or a wedding, we cannot recommend Dunston Hall Estate more. Initially, we have chosen Dunston Hall Estate as our wedding venue for high standard interior décor and beautiful gardens and landscapes. It was crucial for us that both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast are in the warm premises (not in the marquee which is also available here) as we had many children attending. At the same time, we were looking for beautiful natural decorations for our small family event. After we visited Dunston Hall Estate, we knew this is the venue for our wedding. We could see that all those important details like stands, flower decorations, cutlery, dinnerware, champagne flutes, wine glasses, pictures, candlesticks etc., which make every interior space unique and memorable, were carefully chosen to compliment the hall’s designs. In addition, local garden is kept at the highest standards and is encrypted in beautiful Derbyshire landscape. And we could not choose better month for the wedding than May when all the spring trees and bluebells were blooming around the hall. Dunston Hall includes accommodation. Each of 10 bedrooms is a unique interior design masterpiece. We were also offered to use the kitchen, to relax in the library or drawing room, or to sing karaoke in the specially equipped cellar. But it was the staff of the venue who went above and beyond to make our special day memorable, easy to organise and beautiful in every way. We were offered several tables placements in the dining room of the hall, including flower composition change in accordance with our wedding’s colour scheme. The venue recommended local florist @LMFloral who was extremely helpful and professional too and cooperated with the hall on a direct basis. We would like to highlight the standards of the catering at the venue. Three courses wedding breakfast was a fine dining worth. Aesthetical view of the food and beautiful taste was accompanied by high service standards. Compliments to the chef, all kitchen employees and serving staff. We had vegetarians and vegans among our guests, all their requirements were considered and even truffles and wine were offered accordingly. Except wedding breakfast, both evening buffet and next morning continental breakfast exceeded our expectations: the taste and view of mouth-watering dishes became a highlight of the event for us. The diversity of drinks provided during the food service and later at the evening bar meet all our guests taste preferences. We did not have to resolve any problems which might have happen during such an event. We did not have any! All organisational questions were resolved smooth by the hall’s event management team and the master of the ceremony on the wedding day. All the suppliers like harpist, the band, videographer, makeup artists were welcome and guided in terms of arrivals, catering, leaving etc. The photographers were allowed to see the venue before. The families who stayed overnight were offered cots or extra beds for kids. All these various organisational actions took place invisible for us and guests. Every little detail we did not think about, was considered, and organised by the staff. The team even watched so the groom does not see the bride before the ceremony. The last, but not the least is that Dunston Hall Events team found the time to compliment the bridesmaids, to encourage page boy and flower girls, to congratulate the couple just after the ceremony and to be so personal and smiley to make the wedding day even better. It is worth many ‘Thank You’ from us! And just to summarise, we highly recommend Dunston Hall Estate as the wedding venue with personal touch and professionalism of the staff and the high standard of interior décor and gardens.
