Drenagh Estate has been a family home since 1836 and that special family feel still lives on today through our weddings, this magnificent Georgian mansion, built by Charles Lanyon for the McCausland family in 1837, exudes elegance and grandeur. From the exquisite period interiors to the handsome parkland setting, guests can’t help but relax in the tranquillity and comfort of this beautiful stately home.
Situated near Limavady, at the northern stretch of the exhilarating Antrim coastline, Drenagh is a wonderful place from which to explore some of Northern Ireland’s greatest natural and cultural treasures – the Giant’s Causeway, Benone Beach, Downhill, Mussenden Temple and the historic City of Derry.
Drenagh House offers luxury Accommodation for up to 22 guests in 11 rooms The main reception rooms offer a magnificent and relaxed setting. In addition to the morning room, library, drawing room, and 2 dining rooms, there is a home cinema to keep children entertained.
Discover the magic of The Moon Garden, the beauty of The Walled Garden, explore the many other pockets of beauty that are just waiting to be discovered as you wonder through the enchanting grounds of Drenagh Estate.
Like most venues, we will provide help with planning, setting up, serving drinks and preparing food; but unlike other venues, we are so much more!
We are the lipstick checkers, the buttonhole fixers, the veil fluffers and the tissue providers. We are the sparkler lighters, the dress fixers and everything else in between.
When we say we are here every step of the way we really do mean it. :-)

Unreal beauty, unreal staff and nothing is a problem for them. They gave us a wedding that were still getting phone calls about. The Venue, the amazing food that was all way more than 5 stars. Do yourself a favour and just go see... We had Gareth and Victoria there for our big day running things and it was total clock work. All the guests commented on how good the staff were and how perfect they made it. Thank yous all again. All I can say is go take a walk round this place and speak to the people. What a place. The venue is beautiful with peacocks on the grounds and the leaves during the autumn months are amazing, really the most stunning venue I have seen. The staff are fantastic, there is nothing they won’t help with. They are the friendliest and helpful staff I have ever seen at a wedding. If you are looking for a wedding venue, choose Drenagh as you won’t regret it.We had our wedding at Drenagh at the end of October 2022, the venue and the staff are amazing. We had visited this amazing venue several times prior to our daughters wedding . We were extremely impressed with the friendliness of all the staff and how we were greeted at each visit . It is hard to put into words how fabulous this magical venue is. We had the best day ever , the attention to detail, the reassurance from staff and the feeling that we were almost a part of their extended family was unreal.Rebekah and Patrick’s wedding was held in Drenagh House on 28 October 2022. The staff in Drenagh are out of this world I have travelled all over the world and have never experienced service like it, they are extraordinary. Every single member of staff were as friendly, kind and welcoming and made every one of the guests feel at home. Trevor, Annouska, Geraldine, Gail and Bridget are perfection they made my sister and her new husband feel so welcome the service afforded to them was so personal and unique! I would like to personally thank them from the bottom of my heart for making my sisters dreams come true. The house and grounds are enchanting it was like a real life fairytale setting that Walt Disney himself couldn't not even dream of, from the intimate ceremony in the moon garden to the reception in the main house everything was flawless. The house is incredibly beautiful and has so much character but the people at Drenagh are amazing and without them our day would not have been the same. Joanne helped us plan our day and ensured that everything was perfect. We spoke to the chef who instantly knew what we wanted and oh boy did they deliver. The food was delicious! From the moment we walked into Drenagh we felt right at home and it’s the people there that make this venue so magical. My bridesmaid and I stayed at Drenagh the night before our wedding and we were given the most special welcome by Trevor and Annouska. I honestly felt like our wedding was the only wedding ever hosted at Drenagh because everything was so warm and personal. Trevor is hands down, one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and everyone at or wedding agreed. He is an absolute perfectionist and made it his mission that our wedding day was the best day of our lives. Geraldine and Gail were with us every step of the way and made sure our wedding was everything that we dreamt of. These people are serious professionals but with the warmest personalities. We had our ceremony in the stunning moon garden and had our reception and dinner in the main house. Every single one of our guests were blown away by Drenagh’s beauty and attention to detail provided by the amazing staff. Last and certainly not least, we would like to thank Bridget the housekeeper who was there to make sure everyone was having the best time. What an amazing person she is and we all just adored her.
