Dovecote Barn is a Grade II listed venue set in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds. Your day is exclusively yours, with your ceremony, drinks, dinner and dancing all in one private countryside setting.

Marry in our Grade II listed barn, with its exposed brickwork, oak beams and twinkling fairy lights, or outdoors in The Paddock during the warmer months, beautifully landscaped with your wedding in mind. Dovecote Barn and The Paddock are licensed for civil ceremonies, partnership ceremonies and renewal of vows.

Raise a glass

Drinks flow from the adjoining bar into our walled courtyard and landscaped gardens, with plenty of beautiful spots for photographs and countryside views all around.

Dovecote Barn and The Meadow Tipi have individual venue hire prices. Both vary between days of the week and months of the year. For both venues, the hire price includes hiring Dovecote Barn for your ceremony. Prices are also inclusive of VAT. See below everything else that is included in the hire price for each venue: For pricing ranges in 2027 & 2028: Dovecote Barn hire ranges from £4,150 to £6,450 (for tipi pricing, please see below). Included with Dovecote Barn ceremony and receptions: • Hire of Dovecote Barn for your wedding ceremony • Exclusive use of the venue on your chosen date • Exclusive use of surrounding outdoor courtyard, lawns and paddock for drinks reception and photographs • Stylish bar area with fully stocked and staffed bar right up until midnight The Meadow Tipi hire ranges from £6,850 to £12,400. Included with Tipi receptions: • Hire of Dovecote Barn for your wedding ceremony and adjacent stylish bar area for your drinks reception • Exclusive use of whole venue including outdoor courtyard, lawns and paddock for drinks reception and photographs • Exclusive use of the tipi the day prior to your wedding to set up your decorations • Wooden flooring throughout the tipi and a wooden walkway to the entrance • Fairy lights on all wooden poles inside and uplighters and festoon lights outside • Five tipis interlinked with weatherproofed canvas and panoramic windows • Fully stocked and staffed bar within the tipi • Fire pits and wooden benches The Paddock is available to hire for outdoor ceremonies between early May and early October. It is an additional £375 to hire The Paddock for your outdoor ceremony. Thank you and the team all SO much for everything, it was a fantastic day despite the many contingencies we had to put in place. Thank you for all of the planning leading up to it, we couldn’t have done it without you! It’s bitter sweet though because we will never have another Wedding…. So even if we wanted too, we can’t do it again! But we sure would do it all over again with you guys if we could!!Thank you and the team all SO much for everything, it was a fantastic day despite the many contingencies we had to put in place. We held our wedding at Dovecote Events, in the paddock outside and then onto the tipi for the rest of the day. We were blown away with how fantastic the team were, nothing was to much trouble for them. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how beautiful the venue was, how great the food tasted and how lovely the staff were to everyone. Tom was so helpful and supportive. We had a beautiful intimate ceremony at Dovecote Barn with 50 guests. Our experience was great from start to finish, from the beginning when we attended an open day, decided to book, the planning process and up to the wedding day itself. Matt and his team were very quick to respond to all queries and made us feel comfortable and supported throughout. The venue would work well in both rainy or sunny weather (one of the many reasons we chose it). It was also accessible, which was important to us.We had a beautiful intimate ceremony at Dovecote Barn with 50 guests. Melanie and the team handled everything so well (no surprises there!) and all the staff were absolutely lovely - chatty and friendly, professional and discreet. Excellent service. Our guests loved the whole event, (describing it as The Party of the Year), from drinks in the beautiful courtyard and garden setting to the delicious meal, speeches and live music. We made wonderful memories which we won’t forget in a hurry. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

There are just too many to choose from, but my favourite has to be a beautiful hot day, The Meadow Tipi looked absolutely magical. Everyone was lapping up the sun and not wanting to complain, but it was so hot!!! It hadn't rained for weeks. Then there was a clap of thunder and a sudden downpour. The children and guests ran outside to dance in the rain...what a brilliant moment! Talk about seizing the moment!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't allow yourselves to be overwhelmed by the opinions of you friends and families when trying to plan your big day...remember...it is YOUR day.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

A bespoke handmade wooden bench, engraved especially and used in the ceremony for the bride and groom. They use this in Dovecote Barn for their ceremony before it was moved to sit outside The Meadow Tipi for their photos later in the evening.

Overlooking the neighbouring village of Adderbury and fields in the golden hour. If it's a clear night, you'll have the most magical sunset!

There have a been one or two celebs attending weddings here over recent years, not to mention any names! If I asked "have you ever watched Granchester?".....

What’s your favourite canapé?

The crab and prawn sesame toast is just amazing! Or most recently, the salmon poke bowl - it's so ridiculously cute and delicious!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

A delicious fish finger sandwich - can't beat it!
