Delapré Abbey is a truly beautiful venue, based in the heart of Northampton, set within 500 acres of parkland.
Ideal for small/intimate weddings, and also large scale celebrations. Due to our rich history, the interior is characteristically decorated, with many original features still in place, including a wonderful Oak Staircase, with the backdrop of a magnificent stained glass window and our Walled Garden which will be yours to use exclusively on the day.
Stunning rooms to get ready in on the day with a delightful suite that the wedding couple can spend their wedding night in, waking up to their own private garden situated within the beautiful Walled Garden.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We love when couples take full advantage of our beautiful room and their colours. Flowers really make the spaces pop! Our favourite weddings are when there's lots of lovely flowers that scent the rooms and make the day so memorable.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When visiting a venue it's always good to come prepared with your most important questions.
We are always happy to help and with our expertise we can also answer questions you may not have thought of!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have a suite of 5 rooms guests get to use on their wedding day. Its great when couples use each room to their full potential and personalise the venue. This can be with pictures, entertainment, memorabilia or decoration. One couple recently had all their wine glasses personalised with the names of their guests on each and then have a personal cocktail made for each guest.

Either a mini fish and chip cone or Baileys Hot Chocolate and cookies for the end of the night.

The 4 rooms that guests get to use each have their own unique features and period décor.

The team at the Abbey have a huge passion for weddings and want all couples to feel like the house is their home for the day.
