It was a frosty last day of November, Christmas trees were lit and log fires burning, the night before my wedding felt like Christmas Eve.
Our wedding venue was a idyllic hotel (Deans place Hotel) in a Alfriston village, where I stayed the night before with my mum and 2 twin sisters. We wondered to The George pub and had the most wonderful meal by a log fire. We all then got into our pjs and watched Mumma Mia.
I woke at 5am wide awake. Next to me was my sister who was also awake. We had butterflies in our stomachs so excited whispering about our day ahead.
When my other sister and mum woke, we went for our champagne breakfast. It was a perfect start to our special day.
Getting ready was a busy but fun morning. Surrounded by make up artists (Ebridger Mua) and hairdressers (Unique hair and Beauty), My 2 year old daughter Eva was having a ball.
Out my window I could see my future husband holding our 4 year old son Harrison and I felt a huge surge of love for him and my family. And I couldn’t wait to be his wife.
Getting into my wedding dress (pronovias atelier, ilari) was everything every girl dreams off. That moment of truth, praying it fits like a glove, and it did. Every feeling I expected, my Cinderella moment.
The bridesmaid wore a floor length, gun metal grey gown from AX Paris and groomsmen wore a navy tailed suit, hired from The Ozone, Brighton.
I walked down the Isle with my 6 bridesmaids, my daughter and my dad. It’s all a bit of a blur but our wedding photographer (Scott Wright) captured every moment and we have watched our video over and over. I can’t recommend enough getting a video of your special day. Photos are special but a video really makes you re-live every moment.
Our gentle giant dog was the ringing bearer. He was wearing his navy suit to match the men. And did a great job.
Our wedding day was December 1st 2017. It was cold but a beautifully sunny day. We were lucky to have our wedding photos taken outside. Which is where we decided to throw the confetti. It was picturesque.
Our wedding breakfast food was heavenly. And we had arranged a surprise of singing waiters (warble entertainment). They were one of our highlights of the day. They performed at the end of the breakfast, the moment when your guests have eaten and drunk maybe a little to much. And they really got the party started with table dancing and napkin throwing. They were just fantastic.
Our evening guests arrived at 7.30pm. They added a new energy to the day.
Our band were truly amazing. (Indie Killers, Warble entertainment) They were again up on the tables and crowd surfing and the dance floor was packed the whole evening.
We ended the evening with sparklers outside and lots of singing it really felt magical, and our winter wonderland wedding felt just perfect in that moment.
