Danby Castle Barn

Watched my best friend get married here on Wednesday 4th September and it is truly a gorgeous place, staff where very organised and helpful.. the get ready room for the bridal party is spacious and super clean, plenty of places for those special pictures I couldn’t rate it more!!

This was the first and only venue we went to, we knew right from the start it was meant to be! Danby Castle barn is just a magical, beautiful and well equipped venue for your special day, with the numerous areas/rooms to choose from, the veiws, the character, the ruins and the area that surrounds, you will not be disappointed! The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you, super helpful right down to the little details. We absolutely loved it, the day went perfectly! My only problem was the day went too quickly!! Honestly thank you so so much guys ♡ We had the best day EVER!

We got married at Danby Castle just over a week ago and we had such an incredible day. Despite a couple of small hiccups with 2 of the old wedding co-ordinators around communication and what was offered to us, when Leah took over everything ran smoothly. Leah was always on hand to make sure our day ran smoothly. The venue is incredible, we were bless with lovely weather for our games, ice cream van and singer but I could imagine it could be quite difficult if there weather goes the other way. We were also blessed to be able to have our first dance in the ruins which was so magical and special! If you are getting married in the summer and the weather allows, I would 100% recommend this. Danby has the most amazing natural backdrops for photos and really allowed our guests to unwind. The food was incredible, the portion sizes were great and our guests were all very happy!! We also opted for the Fish and Chip van at night and again, it was insane!! Top Notch!! The only negative is not having accommodation on site which was promised to us at the time of booking but we booked Guisborough Hall for our wedding party which was only 20 minutes away and allowed most of the guests to stay together. If you are looking for a stunning venue with incredible views where your guests can unwind then Danby is your venue!! 🤍 Massive thank you to Leah again!

Well, what can I say! We got married at Danby Castle Barn last week and it was just perfect! The staff were all great, especially our designated wedding coordinator, Eve! Eve brought a sense of calm to the day, and nothing was too much trouble. The venue is just stunning, and the views are incredible! We cannot thank you enough for making everything so special! Wouldn’t change a thing! Even the heavy rain didn’t dampen it and a lot of this was down to not only a wonderful photographer but also the team at Danby Castle. Fantastic value for money and our small wedding had everything we could ask for and more.

We just wanted to start by thanking everyone for such an incredible day. The venue itself is just beautiful. The staff could not have been more accommodating throughout the whole process and had answers to all of our never-ending questions. Eve – our co-ordinator was wonderful and so helpful in the lead up and also on the day. She knows exactly what she is doing and helped us both feel confident that everything was going to run smoothly.

Absolutely perfect wedding! Beautiful setting in North Yorkshire national park, stunning views. Staff so helpful going above & beyond ( special shoutouts to Ruby &Harry) 3 amazing locations for ceremonies. Gorgeous food, perfect getting ready room for bridal party and men’s room, perfect wedding breakfast room Resident DJ, and what backdrops ! Castle ruins and countryside ( even cows & sheep). No accommodation on site but can highly recommend Coombs Glamping Pods just along the lane.

Wow! I don't know how to put it into words. Danby Castle made it so easy. Before we even visited I knew it was 'the one'. The venue and view speaks for itself, the staff are amazing at what they do and very efficient, nothing is too much trouble, the food was absolutely delicious on the day, and the whole wedding was better than I ever imagined. It really is thanks to the team for just knowing what they're doing! It was smooth, beautiful and we had the most fun day. A special thank you to Ruby

Beautiful place for a wedding. Spectacular views. Lovely, relaxed feeling all day. Food was amazing. Rooms for ceremony & receptions are beautiful.

Wow, such a stunning venue to hold our wedding. The staff were very kind and helpful from beginning to end and nothing was too much trouble. All our guests commented on how unique and interesting the venue was, especially the old ruins, the views were unreal and created such a nice backdrop for photos. Our coordinator Leah was fab and kept the day running smoothly, Brittany took over on the evening and was just as professional, thanks very much for your hard work.
