Danby Castle Barn

Growing up I always knew I wanted to get married over the Yorkshire moors as it was my happy place and Danby castle was my dream venue, our dream became a reality on the 9th of March 2025 (also mine and my partners anniversary date which made it so much more special) Danby listened to every request I had and went above and beyond for us, our wedding coordinator Holly and Britney and all the other staff were incredible and made us feel so special throughout our day. It will always be the highlight of our lives.

I attended a friends wedding reception here last week, it's the perfect venue from the setting to the friendly staff. I can understand why so many people fall in love when they visit. Also, having lost a bag during the day, the staff were so nice checking in to make sure we had located it - thanks again :D

We booked this venue 2 years in advanced, it was the only one we visited and fell in love with it. The venue speaks for itself it has loads of character and those veiws are stunning! Our day was perfect! Honestly couldn't of gone any better the staff were amazing from start to end, the food was delicious too! We simply had the best wedding day EVER! My only problem is our day went by too quickly!..... it feels more like a dream than reality. We just loved it! ♡

The team at Danby Castle is fantastic—friendly, organised, and passionate about making each wedding unforgettable. If you're looking for a unique, picturesque setting for your wedding, I can’t recommend Danby Castle enough!

Unfortunately not a good experience despite it being a beautiful venue. My friend had a bad experience with leah the co ordinator. She made her feel uncomfortable and awkward. Not how a bride should feel. My feedback would be don’t be pretentious. Treat people like you would like to be treated yourself.

Where do we even begin? Our wedding day at Danby Castle Wedding Barns was nothing short of perfection. The venue itself is breathtaking, and every single detail was executed flawlessly. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how incredible everything was—the atmosphere, the stunning setting, and the seamless flow of the day. A huge thank you to Leah and Harry, who were absolute stars. From the morning preparations to the evening celebrations, they orchestrated everything with such care and precision that we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Their attention to detail and calming presence made the day truly unforgettable. The food was hearty and absolutely delicious. The pies were incredible, and the team serving throughout the night were exceptional. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure the experience was perfect for everyone. A special thank you to Lauren, who helped us book the venue back in March, and the rest of the incredible team at Danby Castle. Your dedication, passion, and hard work shone through every step of the way, making our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined. We cannot recommend Danby Castle Wedding Barns enough. Whether you're looking for an intimate indoor ceremony in the historic Court Room or an outdoor celebration on the lawn, Danby Castle Barn caters to all your needs. I lost count of the number of guests who asked me where I had found the beautiful venue and that it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten! Overall, Danby Castle Barn is a fantastic venue that combines natural beauty, historic charm, and exceptional service to create the wedding of your dreams.

The venue is stunning, everything we ever dreamed of. Nestled away in the middle of the north yorkshire moors felt like we had the world to ourselves with our friends and family. The staff cannot do enough, set up my DIY whilst I got ready in the most incredible get ready room. The package included reception drinks, canapés, breakfast and wine & evening buffet. The food is amazing and plenty of it. The children had the best time playing in the ruins throughout the day and this is closed off in the evening to keep them safe. There's plenty of space for then to play and explore. I'm so glad we chose Danby Castle...can we do it all again please!

Watched my best friend get married here on Wednesday 4th September and it is truly a gorgeous place, staff where very organised and helpful.. the get ready room for the bridal party is spacious and super clean, plenty of places for those special pictures I couldn’t rate it more!!
