Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of Suffolk, there is ample opportunity for realising your dream wedding. Dan's Meadow is large enough to accommodate up to one hundred people in our purpose-built on-site hall or up to 150 people in a Marquee or Tipi, with luxury Toilet Trailer and Generator. Sole Use is available for that feeling of exclusivity including parking and on-site camping and Caravanning if required. The long tree-lined driveway leads to the secluded site, which is bordered by the river Fynn. This offers fantastic wedding photograph opportunities. Two Shepherds Huts, Glamping Pod and a Bell Tent are available for hire to save unnecessary travel after the reception.

- LLizzie and Matt02/12/2022The perfect place for usThe perfect place for usDan's Meadow was the perfect place for us to have our wedding. We had our ceremony and celebration at the venue and it couldn't have been more "us". Compared to other venues we looked at this one was much more reasonable and having sole access to the site for the whole weekend meant we could really make the most of our wedding. Andrew and his family went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible, booking the tipi, DJ, food vendors and bar for us which really reduced the stress of organising the day. In the lead up to the wedding Andrew was available to call any time to answer questions and offer advice. He even returned in the evening of our wedding day and surprised us with a photo in a frame which he had taken just after the ceremony. Having our ceremony outside by the willow tree and in front of the Victorian Gazebo was just lovely. Some of our guests booked the two shepherds huts which are beautiful and very well supplied and others camped with us. Those who wanted to go home or stay in a hotel in Woodbridge could do so easily thanks to the excellent location and ample onsite parking. The day was relaxed and felt very private and in the evening we sat around the campfire and toasted marshmallows which was the perfect end to the day. Our vision was to have a festival wedding: one of children running up and down the meadow playing games, friends sitting on picnic blankets and drinking cocktails on the outdoor terrace, all sharing in big communal food... and the meadow has all the space we needed (and more!) to do all that. So many of our married friends told us how sad they were that their own special day had gone so quickly and how little time they spent together as a couple whilst trying to talk to guests in amongst the official proceedings. It sounded rubbish (!) so we chose to do something quite informal and relaxed which let us form memories of the day together! The meadow was the perfect setting. And Andrew was just brilliant - we had to call up with all sorts of queries over the preceding months and nothing was ever too much trouble. As the first licensed wedding on the site, he even brought us a framed photo the next day as we sat in the local pub having a family lunch - it’s a gift we’ll really treasure! Lots of our guests decided to camp - either to save money or as a treat for the kids. The facilities were great, and we’re told that lots of folk kept the party going at the end of the field until the early hours! The location, space and facilities were just what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole team were astounding. We hired the whole meadow for the weekend, and we had family and friends from all over the Country, and Spain, camping or staying locally. We are so grateful for Andrew and the team, and we won’t ever forget our phenomenal ‘festival of love’. We wouldn’t hesitate but recommend Dans meadow. Thank you all! Enjoy the time, because it goes so quickly.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A gentleman took on his partners two children, and they all danced together, very sweet. Also, someone had a frame with different coloured sands to represent each child from the couples previous marriages, by shaking the frame all the sands were mixed signifying that the family were now all one.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our beautiful outdoor grounds, we have a very old willow tree which people love. It's called by the children 'the fairy tree'and is situated beside our river.

Subject to the caterer! but probably Pizza or Meat Paella
What is your venue's most unique feature?
You can have sole use of the property, and it's a complete blank canvas. No one around which is completely peaceful. This is depending on which package option you choose.
