Spacious venue

We held our 2-day corporate summer party here back in June and it was the most incredible few days! Henry catered for everything I asked for and more. We had a beautiful lunch catching up with colleagues at a glorious outdoor bar, an outdoor cinema set up in the evening, and a sensational live band the following day! The venue is so spacious, it gave us so many opportunities to be creative and bond with one another whether it was rounders, sports day, or just a chat around the firepit.

What a venue!

We hosted one of our festival team days at Crockstead fields and were beyond happy with the site . The space is open and inviting and great for bringing people together in nature. The main field has a unique and cosy feel to it and everywhere you look there is a hidden gem of a space to explore further. We are looking forward to running more events in 2024! Thanks Crockstead Team 💫

Alternative festival themed wedding

We had our wedding here in September (lucked out with the hottest day) and Henry and the team went all out to give us the most special day. They couldn’t have been more accommodating from start to finish and all of our guests had a fabulous time too. If you want an alternative festival themed wedding in sussex ran by the best people - we couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Henry and team xxx

We couldn't have wished for a better venue and team of people to host our wedding! Can't recommend them enough!

Henry and the whole team at Crockstead fields went above and beyond to deliver us the most perfect day. The communication throughout was 5* and on the day they pulled out all the stops and made it more special than we could have hoped for. The site itself is wonderful. You get a true sense of the "festival feel" + being in nature added to the overall experience. If only we could do it all over again!

Beautiful site with responsive and friendly service

Crockstead is so so beautiful. Perfect for any celebration. Most important to me though was the can do and friendly attitude of each staff member but in particular Henry. I felt very welcome and cared for :) Highly recommended!

Incredible food, genuine and friendly staff + stunning wedding in nature

Firstly the location is absolutely stunning - it's right in nature with horses in fields nearby and surrounded by woodland. My partner and I arrived early so the host took us for a tour - the decor was super tastefully done with a chic festival feel. The food was incrreedible! All freshly made and plenty provided so we went back for more later that evening. One of the bar staff even went out of her way to make me a delicious moijto mocktail! If you can, definitely book out one of the Yurts- they're so peaceful and cosy. It's probably up there with one of the best nights sleep I've ever had. All in all - if you're looking for a wedding in nature with genuine and friendly, easy-going staff and delicious food - this site is perfect!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at Crockstead Fields - Festival Weddings?

Reuben and Bria's was especially memorable. They had Mamma Cherri as celebrant, sealing their vows with a shot of Tequila, followed by some incredible Persian catering, a fantastic live funk band and then dancing that went on till 5am that saw all of the Crockstead staff being coaxed out onto the dancefloor.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Work on icebreakers to get your day off to a great start. Once it's time for food and dancing everthing tends to run fairly smoothly, so focus on getting people comfortable and on the right track at the start of the day and you're onto a winner.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Being festival kids it might have to be these amazing hand designed table cards one couple had, each one representing a different area at Glastonbury. The corresponding place names looked amazing and the whole setup just did the business for us.

Describe Crockstead Fields - Festival Weddings in 5 adjectives

Fun, Laid-back, Secluded, Unique, Homegrown

Where’s the best photo spot at Crockstead Fields - Festival Weddings?

Can we have 2? There is a lovely tree lined path that leads down to the venue which has seen some amazing photo shoots over the past few years, but top spot has to be the steps of our Pagoda, it's a great location to get in some fantastic group shots.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Crockstead Fields - Festival Weddings?

As mentioned in our previous anecdote we had Mamma Cherri as a celebrant - she featured on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares as a larger than life soul food cafe owner. Besides that we had Peter Jukes attend a wedding recently, perhaps an obscure celeb but the editor of independant newspaper the Byline times and personally an exciting person to meet.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Sweetcorn fritters with mango and habanero salsa, bit of an unusual one, always goes down a treat.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

One of our mac n cheese bowls with crispy onions, chopped coriander and sriracha! It's always danger zone for us staff when guests don't polish these off

What is Crockstead Fields - Festival Weddings most unique feature?

Our home built Pagoda which sits in this amazing natural amphitheatre under a cluster of Oak trees. It's one of very few outdoor set ups that is licensed for official wedding ceremonies and is the heart of our venue.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The relationships we have built up with our couples over the years and the communication that we still have with many who we think of as friends of the site.
