We are delighted to share with you our stylish wedding venue, for your stunning country wedding within Sussex.
Our outdoor wedding ceremony lawn nestles within a tree lined glade and offers peace and tranquility for a romantic setting. Or choose to exchange your vows in our oak beamed Barn Room which has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and elegant lighting.
For your wedding breakfast and reception, the Challis Suite has been designed with a contemporary feel in mind. It is adorned with mirrors, chandelier lights with light wooden floors and a calming interior. Floor to ceiling windows overlook our French Styled courtyard complete with original fountain. Our charming courtyard makes the perfect setting for sipping a chilled flute of Prosecco and sampling our delicious canapés. Our vintage Horsebox bar will be open to serve your guests drinks before and after your wedding ceremony and it is also a great place for that all important confetti shot.
To complement your wedding experience the country club has a modern health club, beauty salon and a total of 26 hotel rooms, including a honeymoon room and attractive hotel entrance. The original club house frontage remains to add character, with it's Phoenix bar freshly restyled and an outdoor terrace will extend to add seating overlooking the 18th green.

We had such a wonderful day and so many of our guests raved about the venue. We loved the outdoor ceremony area, it was stunning in the sunshine as was the courtyard for reception drinks. We also loved the fact that a lot of our guests stayed in the hotel for the night, breakfast and a swim to catch up in the morning- perfect!Such a great venue- really communicative the whole way through and lovely to deal with. We were wowed from our first viewing by the beautiful grounds and the brilliant organisation from events managers Jackie & Julie. The service we received from Jackie & Julie was incredible from start to finish, they were clear on the important bits and it always felt like they were excited with us. On the day, the team were seamless and I honestly can’t fault a thing. Our guests have been so complimentary!I was a June 2025 bride here at Cottesmore and I only have glowing feedback! Jackie/Julie (the wedding coordinators) were always so incredibly helpful, always answer any questions, and put everything at ease. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, kept me updated on vendors, and was the calm in the fun chaos of the day. Kerry on reception was amazing at sorting out all our rooms for the night before and the night of the wedding. She also kept me updated throughout, and juggled rooms to ensure every guest was comfortable. The catering team of chefs, servers, bar staff, breakfast staff all super friendly, helpful, smiley and was never such a thing as a problem for them. We opted for the BBQ options of reception breakfast and WOW! Every single guest commented on how incredible the food was. The canapés were outstanding. The turnover of weddings could’ve been stressful but they handled it with ease, no tension and just honestly didn’t even notice it as a guest! The maintenance staff were on it. There was 3 weddings in a row on the weekend we got married but that didn’t phase them, and we would never have known there was other weddings. They got the courtyard spotless before each one, all the flowers were beautifully blooming (perfect for the photos) and every room was cleaned. We were able to get a golf buggy down to the lake to be able to get some good shots. Even the golfers were lovely!! There’s a lovely getting ready room with everything you should need. Breakfast can be brought to you. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was and how the rooms are dressed so elegantly with stunning views/balcony's. Overall, as the bride, the whole experience was outstanding, the grounds are to die for and perfect for the photography, they are organised and i believe brilliant value for money overall. From start to finish we were in such brilliant hands, all the staff are amazing, so friendly and down to earth. From the minute we arrived for our initial wedding show round we knew we loved it. Events Manager Jackie made us feel at ease throughout the whole process and every step of planning with the venue was enjoyable. Both Jackie and Julie were always on hand and very quick to answer any of my questions. We had a lovely menu tasting as part of the planning process and all the food was really tasty. Our wedding day itself was the best day and all our guests commented on what a lovely venue it is. We had most of our guests stay at Cottesmore and with only a small amount of bedrooms, and all of them taken by our guests, it felt a little more exclusive to us and our wedding party which was nice. I booked the getting ready room for me, my mum and my 5 bridesmaids to get ready in which is such a lovely little room, just perfect for a relaxing morning of hair and makeup, we had so much room in there too for the 7 of us! Operations Manager Luke was brilliant and so helpful with all the little bits I was stressing about, nothing was too much trouble. The service was great throughout and food was amazing, everyone commented on how nice the food was at the wedding as well as the breakfast the next morning. No getting kicked out of a room whilst it’s being set up for the next bit, they have a room for everything. The staff are fabulous. Cottesmore is owned by a family partnership and the original building suffered a devastating fire in the summer of 2018. The silver lining is that it has been rebuilt with plenty of charm and character, with multi faceted function space, perfect for weddings
