Completely disappointedCompletely disappointed
Disappointed is an understatement. Was excited by the beautiful venue but: - The food is was awful. Overcooked and tasteless. Many guests didn't eat it which was embarrassing. We didn't like it at the tasting evening either but we had to have put down our deposit to be invited to that. - The music has a limiter which makes it quiet and the sound quality is terrible. We raised this on the night and was told that they were aware of the issue. When I emailed about this after, I was told there was no issues. - I missed half of the father daughter dance as they didn't bother to wait for me and my dad, or the guests, to be on the dance floor before starting the music. - If you're hiring a wedding coordinator, don't expect the staff to be welcoming to them. They did not like the fact that I bought a professional in who could do their job better than them😅 - They bother you all night. They took me away from my guests to pay the bar tab. Surely that could have been sorted after the wedding rather that during? I have since complained and been told "well you gave us a thank you card". Well yeah, that was written out before 🤣 No money back and no sincere apology despite the disappointments. Don't be fooled by the gorgeous venue. We had the most amazing wedding at Cooling Castle Barn! The staff were absolutely amazing—kind, supportive, and the calm in the storm when little hiccups arose. They worked seamlessly together, and their professionalism and warmth ensured the day flowed beautifully. So many of our guests and members of the wedding party have since commented on how fantastic the team was, and we couldn’t agree more! Even in the lead-up to the day, the experience was exceptional. The communication was always clear and reassuring, and the online portal was a godsend—especially for managing RSVPs and the seating plan. We’d heard plenty of horror stories from other people about having to chase replies, but we had a smooth and stress-free experience, thanks to their systems. A big thank you to Lucy and Will for being so incredible, they helped everything run smoothly and even enabled us to have one more last dance! Another special shoutout to David, who was an outstanding toastmaster. He was a pillar of support, especially to my mum, and we’re so grateful for his presence and guidance. I got married here in May and I couldn't have asked for more. All of the staff were so lovely and accomodating, even waiting until 10 mins before the ceremony to let me make a decision as to whether it would be inside or outside. They have a wedding dashboard which is so helpful when it comes to organising everything. Oh and the venue itself is stunning! I would highly recommend picking Cooling Castle Barn for your wedding venue.I got married here in May and I couldn't have asked for more. From the first day of booking our wedding Cooling were there every step of the way, they took all the stress and pressure out of wedding planning and made it a enjoyable and fun experience! When our wedding day finally came ALL the staff made our day everything we dreamt of i honestly couldn’t thank them enough......just wish we could do it all again!! The best wedding venue everThe best wedding venue ever
Cooling castle barn made our wedding day an amazing day. Not only is the venue breathtakingly beautiful but the staff are amazing, they helped us throughout the planning process and helped our day run smoothly. The food was delicious and the DJ was great. All of the rooms were beautiful especially the bridal suite and the room the bride uses to get ready. I could not fault Cooling Castle, I am so glad we chose this venue Cooling castle barn made our wedding day an amazing day. Not only is the venue breathtakingly beautiful but the staff are amazing, they helped us throughout the planning process and helped our day run smoothly. The food was delicious and the DJ was great. All of the rooms were beautiful especially the bridal suite and the room the bride uses to get ready. I could not fault Cooling Castle, I am so glad we chose this venue
