There were no questions too daft, no worries too big, they were absolute rocks, making a stressful planning process so much easier. Suzanne was incredible in keeping us up to date with updates, reminders, or just calming my nerves if needed. On the day, Suzanne and Brooke went above and beyond to make our wedding so special! It was genuinely the best day ever, and we can't thank you both enough for everything you did.Suzanne, Brook were absolutely the deciding factor in booking with Coats. Meeting with Suzanne was extremely relaxed and we didn’t feel pressured into making any decisions so early in the process, she helped us to make some plans and gave us some ideas on how to go forward. All of our wedding party and guests have said that almost everyone they spoke to or dealt with went out of their to accommodate and make the day special for everyone. Coats was the only wedding venue we looked at. We knew instantly this is where we had to get married. Meeting with Suzanne was extremely relaxed and we didn’t feel pressured into making any decisions so early in the process, she helped us to make some plans and gave us some ideas on how to go forward. It truly makes you feel like a princess getting married in such a grand building. Our guests were truly blown away, not only at the magnificent building from the outside, but with how well they have kept the church inside and the modern bathrooms and hall for the reception. We opted for a twilight wedding which is something we also got lots of compliments on from our guests and also meant we had a buffet rather than a 3 course meal. The venue is absolutely stunning, both inside and out. It truly makes you feel like a princess getting married in such a grand building. The venue speaks for itself it’s absolutely stunning, pictures don’t even do it justice it is just so grand & beautiful! A special recommendation for Suzanne who was our wedding planner & how amazing she was helping us & making it such a stress free process -honestly she really made our wedding.We had our Twilight wedding in November and honestly cannot recommend Coats enough, this was the first and last venue we went to see and straight away knew this is where we wanted to get married. As soon as we stepped in to Coats on our first visit we just knew this was where we wanted to get married …. The whole feel of the place was just us! From driving up to the church to the interior it is an absolutely stunning venue! Thank you to Suzanne who put up with us at EVERY open night and for bringing our black and red skull filled wedding to life 🥰 it really was greater than we imagined! Take ten minutes to yourselves, some couples barely get to make eye contact until their first dance. I always encourage my couples to take some time out together just to let everything sink in. After all, you’ve just got married!

We have had Eddi Reader perform in our former church and Outlander used our venue for filming if that counts

What is your venue's most unique feature?
There is the intricate beauty of the wood carvings and the spaciousness and symmetry of the sanctuary with its vaulted roof and cruciform shape. Marble, alabaster and mosaics abound. The building, in red sandstone, is Gothic in design, topped with a crown spire rising to more than 60 metres above ground-level.
