At Chet Valley Vineyard we have a fabulous venue for your wedding. It has been described as aesthetic, modern, intimate and cool. Set in a beautiful South Norfolk vineyard just 8 miles south of Norwich the winery has a Wine Hall reception room upstairs that seats up to 50 people for your wedding celebration with a large balcony with stunning views across the vines to the fields beyond. We have a state of the art winery below the Wine Hall complete with pristine stainless steel tanks which add quirkiness. We are able to cater on site and can provide a list of food options, catering for all dietary requirements. Alternatively, you can bring in your own caterers or we can recommend local caterers. You can even book a pizza van, ice cream van or other food truck. We have a full range of our own wines available with soft drink options at the bar which will cover all your needs. We serve our own wine at the reception which makes this a very sustainable wedding venue. Your guests will be toasting your future married lives together with wine made from the grapes grown on the very vines that you can see from the balcony and walk amongst. All the grapes are hand picked, pressed, fermented and the wine bottled and labelled all on site. There is accommodation available to book on site which is within a very short walking distance. The Vine House sleeps up to 6 people in 2 double rooms and one twin room and is all on one level with wide access doors and a terrace and lawn overlooking the vines. The cottage is also dog friendly. The perfect place to get ready for your wedding with your bridesmaids. There are lots of beautiful spots on the vineyard amongst the vines for photographs, or on the balcony for romantic evening shots and within the winery itself some more quirky and alternative industrial type shots with the wine vats! We also enjoyed tasting many of the delicious wines, along with a fabulous charcuterie spread. Bridget and John are very engaging and entertaining hosts and are passionate about the wine they are making, which shines through. We hired the venue for a family party and enjoyed food and wine on the balcony overlooking the beautiful vineyard scenery. We particularly enjoyed the Horatio Rose Brut which was very refreshing on a hot summers day. We had an excellent tour of the vineyard with the owner, John who was very knowledgeable about not only the vines and the wine but also the local area and all things nature related.
