Our minimum spend varies from £1000 - £5000 We pride ourselves on having a large and bespoke menu for you to choose for your day We can cater to numbers from 20 to 110 guests.

Attended Chapel 1877 last night for a wedding and it was perfect! Very well organised, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We want to thank Chapel 1877 and especially Richard for giving us the best day of our lives. He helped us plan this whole wedding to a very modest budget and made it feel like we'd spent 10's of thousands. Everything from the amazing architecture and decor, to the smallest detail was flawlessly executed. The food was absolutely scrumptious, every single guest complimented us on how good thier wedding breakfast was and the same was said for the evening spread. We cant express in words how fabulous this venue is and how they exceeded our expectations. Thanks for all of your hard work and you will be in our hearts and fondest memories forever xWe want to thank Chapel 1877 and especially Richard for giving us the best day of our lives. My daughter's wedding was in April this year in the function room downstairs. The room looked beautiful . The food was amazing, we couldn't fault anything. Recently attended a wedding at Chapel and I can't fault it. From the beautiful setting to the fabulously catered food, everything was top notch. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We had our wedding reception in the Chapel and we had an amazing time! The food was excellent and all the staff were attentive, pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. Kirstie did all the preparation details with us and nothing was too much trouble for her. The restaurant had been dressed with an pleasing attention to detail and the restaurant manager was organised, efficient - and lovely! Thank you all so much for making our wedding day such a beautiful day! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!We had our wedding reception in the Chapel and we had an amazing time! The food was excellent and all the staff were attentive, pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. Kirstie did all the preparation details with us and nothing was too much trouble for her. The restaurant had been dressed with an pleasing attention to detail and the restaurant manager was organised, efficient - and lovely! A beautiful venue for a wedding reception in the heart of Cardiff. Looking at the building from the outside it is clearly an old Chapel but it doesn’t do any justice until you step foot inside and see the majestic beauty of the grand interior. We had booked Chapel 1877 quite some time ago for a wedding dinner and reception, our expectations weren’t just met…they were blown out of the water - Gareth, Richard and their team showcased such a high standard of hospitality, it was unbelievable! Gareth the General Manager and Richard the Restaurant Manager were such a breath of fresh air – they were taking control of the event and managing their teams brilliantly. They were both able to interpret our plans perfectly for a sit down dinner in the day and a party in the night. During the day we had a sit-down three course wedding dinner for 20 guests and everyone commented how amazing the food tasted (compliments to the chefs!), how good the table service was (thank you waiters/waitresses) and how the ambience of the room created a special setting for a great occasion. The wedding party was held in the Vault room and everyone had the same comment – “Wow!” - what a great hidden room for a party! We had a fantastic live band – Perfect Day Party Band – who only took up a small corner of the room so there was plenty of space for dancing, sitting, eating and drinking. The décor was spot on (the fairy lights above the dance floor were a nice touch!) as we were able to have all our wedding bits from the meal come down to the evening reception – candles, flowers, canvases and a 6 foot balloon palm tree – Gareth and Richard happily set everything up for the day and evening without bothering us which was just great as we were so busy socialising and having a great time – there was literally nothing for us to stress or worry over as the guys took care of everything. We can’t comment enough to show our appreciation for all the staff working on Friday 3rd June so we’ll just say a huge THANK YOU here! Special thanks to Gareth, Richard and Jack for the superb hospitality, service and smiles, you made our day more memorable and we’ll always cherish the great time we had, not just us but also our family and friends. We had our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast at Chapel 1877 on Easter weekend. It was the most perfect intimate and beautiful venue and exceeded both of our expectations. The staff were unbelievable attentive and went the extra mile at all times. The food was also top class and all our guests said how delicious their meals were. The wedding coordinator Laura is a star and she made our wedding so special.
